This was another really good episode. A lot of good lines and little moments. Did I see a brief, Jim-like smirk flash across Andy/Drew’s face when Dwight praised his idea to post the flyers all over town?
Also, I want to see Karen model that underwear set.
My new favorite character is Kelly. She had about one line tonight, but was still hilarious in about 50 ways (especially when she literally sprinted into the Victoria Secret store.)
I don’t think this episode benefited from the extra 8 or 9 minutes. I would have shortened the conference room scene and lost the ladies room stuff and tried to get it back to the regular 22 minutes. It would have been a lot better.
I have to admit, when Michael was telling about Jan’s sexual abuse, and he started crying, I felt really bad for him. It was kind of awful. It was pretty much the only moment of the show that wasn’t funny.
How about Creed needing to go #2 in the women’s room, and being willing to pay for the right? Hilarious.
I wish for Pam, courage; Angela, a heart; Kelly, a brain. Phyllis? Plasma TV.
Ryan asked out Karen, via e-mail. He understands that she didn’t want an office relationship, because he doesn’t either. Wow.
So are Michael and Jan over now or what? She scares me.
Oddly, the bathrooms where I work are as different as the ones at Dunder Mifflin. I know this because I accidentally walked into the men’s room. Half the size, no potpourri, couch, etc. I wonder if we have a Creed amongst us…
I thought this episode was a bit less good than some recently, but still very funny. I loved Creed’s first quote about the flasher, something about “hanging some brain”.
Michael’s initial little bit about the flasher choosing Phyllis was just painfully hilarious. “Did he see Pam? Or Karen from behind?”
One thing I didn’t get: Dwight and a collection of photos of penises, and his pants, and a polaroid? Huh?
Dwight “collected” some pictures of male genitalia for Ph(a)llis to compare… I guess so Pam could make a composite sketch or something. For completeness, he had to include his own.
I agree, not as good as some recent ones, but still hilarious.
Poor Pam, on camera, stumbling into imagining Jim’s penis. “Whoo, I - I’m saying a lot of things.”
I loved the dynamic of Karen saying a relationship can have problems, and you should just push through, then Pam saying sometimes it’s just not going to work.
Steve Carell is so great - when he looked so sad and bereft, it was actually touching, and then he pushed into screwed-up face, going to cry, and brought it back to funny.
The whole Dwight/wanted poster thing was delightful. You can see Andy pause, think about whether he wants to take the light path or the dark path, and then go for it.
I can only imagine what the estimated liability for DM will be this week. I just keep seeing Michael “losing his boner” as Toby walks in. Yikes.
I just about lost it when Dwight called Phyllis “Phallus”.
Angela’s reaction to Phyllis describing the flasher: “Phyllis, you’re a married woman!” I wanted to slap her, and not for the first time. But I loved when Michael was listing all the types of underwear he would treat her to, and she just sat there with that Angela look on her face. I wonder what Dwight would have done if he’d been there.
Can someone sum up for me what happened right after Jan got Michael’s message? The last thing I saw before my satellite started to hiccup and fart was Michael saying “…maybe some Italian…” while Jan was listening to his message.
