The Office "Women's Appreciation" (Open Spoilers)

Well, he did say that he didn’t like dressing up as a schoolgirl…

Not actually an alien penis. Just an Alien exploding from one’s chest, as in the movie series of the same name.

Would it reflect badly on me if I were to say, “She’s so hot it wouldn’t matter?”

Yes?

Well, then, “What a slut!”

Vintage lingerie, and she sings too!

You’re welcome.

Tho quote The Great one, “Hommina, hommina, hommina!”

I’m guessing that “Tops From The Bottom” means someone who likes to be submissive in bed, but likes it because the submissive partner (not the dominant one) is the one who is actually in control of the situation. The submissive one calls when it’s too much, is usually the one charged with calling the safe-word, etc.

In other words, she “tops” (i.e., is in control) from the “bottom” (the position that is nominally being controlled).

I could be totally wrong, but I suspect that’s what’s meant by TFTB.

I love this show because it has moments like this. Ninety-nine percent of the time, Michael just comes off as an obnoxious buffoon; the last one percent humanizes him in such a heartbreaking way. Remember the career day episode when he was talking to the kids?

Could that comment mean something else? I can’t imagine all of the women allowing that to happen at any price. One word from Angela to Toby and it would be over.

Liked the episode, but am really disappointed with the direction they’re taking Jan.

I liked the fact that she was a smart, no-nonsense professional who played the straight woman to Michael’s grinning idiocy. The occasional glimpses we got into her more vulnerable, non-self-confident side made the tough outer persona even more interesting, and helped explain why she would spend time with someone like Michael.

But turning her into some obsessed freak just ruins the whole dynamic they’ve created, IMO. It’s all much less interesting to me now.

Creed said something like “I got caught a few times and I’ve paid over and over” or something like that.

My VCR is set to record weekly (which I didn’t know) so even though I set the daily timer to record the right time, it switched over at the top of the hour to another show…I can’t believe how much I missed in those last 8 minutes! The whole Victoria’s Secret stuff, Jan and the breakup, Toby…I was so thrilled that I got part of the show (and last week’s show, which I didn’t know I’d taped) but now I’m bummed!

If you’ve got $1.99 to spare, why not download it from iTunes?

Because I don’t have $1.99 to spare, (spent my last frivolous money on re-upping here), I know nothing about iTunes (do you have to own an ipod?) my computer, when working, does not play videos well, and my computer crashed and burned two weeks ago…claims I have no hard drives. I’m currently using library computers.

Count your personal blessings.

Wearing headphones and darn near yelling, Creed said: I’m a pretty normal guy. I do one weird thing. I like to go in the women’s room for number two. I’ve been caught several times and I have paid dearly.

Heh, they’re taking him down a truly bizarre path.

I thought he meant he’s been caught at prior jobs and paid dearly by losing said jobs. This may sound strange but I didn’t like Creed in this episode- he showed too much emotion. I like him when he’s in the background with a creepy or leering expression (like watching/ogling the Stamford office transplant nurse her baby) or comment (one of his many brief, one-liner talking head interview lines). In this episode he expressed frustration a couple times over the ridiculousness of the hoopla surrounding the flashing, and then the yelling/headphones stuff about the bathroom. I guess I like him as more of a 2 dimensional character and would rather not see him develop.

To be fair, it was Jan’s therapist who encouraged her to explore her self-destructive tendencies by persuing the relationship with Michael. This is the same therapist who is now watching the tapes of Jan and Michael, so you have to wonder about this person.

I don’t think Jan has turned into an obsessed freak but rather someone who wandered too far down the wrong path.
