Students are already on the sidelines. I hope to all get out we see those white posts coming down. But USC just drove to a score.
It’ll majorly suck if those students have to trudge home.
7 pt game.

Yes!!!
Great Win, Beavers!!
So, Arizona State can win the Pac 10 now and go to a BCS bowl.
My Cougs…maybe not so much…

I’ll posit this puts Oklahoma into the number one spot, or possibly Georgia if they dominate Alabama (which I don’t think is likely, but who knows).
Anyway, the game last night was good news for the Big 12 and SEC.
I have a strong feeling that the BCS championship game will feature a Big 12 team versus an SEC team. Even if Wisconsin or Penn State goes undefeated in the Big 10. For this year at least, there is a major gap between the top two conferences and the rest of the BCS.
Good argument.
Well, except for that pesky UGA/Arizona State result from last week…
Look, I’m a Gator alum and I believe that the SEC is probably the best conference, but it’s really just too early to tell. Maybe Penn State will win the National Championship. Maybe Georgia. Maybe Oklahoma. Could be Missouri. Maybe even USC or, god forbid, Ohio State.
It’s certainly fun to argue and debate, but for now we really don’t and can’t know. And the way the BCS is rigged we also might not know at the end. Sure, Tennessee got pounded by some mediocre PAC 10 team, but Tennessee is just really not that good this year. They graduated (or eligibility expired) the best parts of last years team, which really wasn’t that good to start with. Florida and Alabama absolutely crushed them last year, Cal put a hurt on them, then they lost to LSU in the SEC championship. Kentucky almost beat them as well. No one should be surprised that they lost to UCLA, barely, in Los Angeles and they’ll probably get clobbered this weekend by Auburn.
Well, that’s my rant for the morning, and it has helped me to avoid doing some actual work, so there is that.
Go Beavers (I just like saying that). Maybe next year they can play the USC 'Cocks in Columbia.
Possible upset happening right now. Ole Miss 31 Florida 30 in the 4th quarter.
Upset did happen. Bits I saw, Florida sort of just drifted through the game. Losing their first two left guards didn’t help, although I wouldn’t pin the loss on that. There were too many turnovers, some dubious coaching decisions and it seemed the Rebels or Bulldogs or whatever they are just wanted it more.
I agree. Florida just didn’t look good at all.
Wisconsin is not going to stay in the top ten.
:smack:
Like I really need *one more *reason to drink!
However, as I type this, 3 other top 10s have already fallen. This is why I love/hate college football.
Hmm…If Alabama beats Georgia, this could be a very interesting week. OKlahoma is up on TCU early, so that potential upset doesn’t look likely right now.
Quite a rollercoaster for us Michigan fans. That first half was the most staggering display of bumbing ineptitude on offense I have ever seen from a big time school. Five more stinkin fumbles? WTF. The D did a great job holding things under control , they are starting to look like the squad they were supposed to be.
The second half showed the potential of Rich Rod’s scheme against a solid defense. Once he gets his players and everybody trained, Things could be very good.
As much as I want to believe the kinks are gone, and sailing will be smooth, I know it’s not true.
But I have a feeling the rest of this year is going to take years off my life in stress, and take its toll on my wall in the form of dents from random hand sized objects.
10-0 Alabama in the first quarter.
31-0 at half.
This is fixing up to be an interesting season.
Georgia trying to come back. Alabama 31 GA 17
Hey Georgia!
We just beat the hell out of you
ramma jamma yella hamma
