The PermaPit "FOX News is full of s***" Thread

I would totally watch that. Especially if every episode ended with Vin snapping Andy Dick in half.

That was Colmes? I thought it was Moe the Bartender.

Well, it looks like the last straw (dissing a Republican for a change) has created a Call to Action at Fox. From an internal memo:

Oh, man, they better hope they follow through on that. The next Republican caught in a scandal that’s labeled as D is going to be that much more mud in their faces after that memo.

Sean Hannity better get a waiver from that policy or he’s going to lose half his material.

You say that like they’re actually going to enforce this.

They’re only banning accidental screwups. Deliberate misleading statements, or consciously putting false statements out is still A OK.

Was the person responsible for this fired?

To me, this does not disprove that Fox gets things wrong accidentally on purpose for their own cynical reasons. It just proves that they are incompetent AND manipulative.

I can’t imagine anything more important than getting it on!

Then you haven’t tried Cherry Garcia ice cream, my friend.

While getting it on! OK, kinda messy, but still…

They probably just bought him a calculator.

I posted this in the Stupid Republicans thread, but just for the record it should be in this thread too.

Former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino had a major memory lapse on Hannity’s show.

Why didn’t Hannity or the other guest correct her? Because it’s not in their interest to do so?

I’d like to hear the Hannity supporters explain away/defend his silence. Since I doubt there are Dopers even that stupid, anybody got a line on what they’re saying elsewhere?

I can tell you what they’re thinking. 9/11 counts against Clinton because it was too early for Bush to really do anything about it.

It’s long been a part of Bush apologists’ rhetorical jujitzu to try to say that Bush did not allow any terrorist attacks after 9/11. It looks like they’re now trying to elide the end of that sentence.

It’s an incredibly fake and stupid metric anyway. No President can prevent terrorist attacks. The GOP Lord and Savior, Christ Ronnie sure didn’t.

They’ll probably defend it by saying something like, “Well, she only said term and not terms, so she was probably referring to his second term. I honestly don’t see the problem.”

Here’s a funny clip from the Daily Show last night. It seems Fox can’t get it’s math right. And I love how they have to go out of their way to dumb down their material.

You leave Dana Perino alone! She works so hard! (sob) She gives and gives, and all you bastards can do is tear her down! (blubber, sob…)

There’s a link in there to an even funnier story. Fox is defending the chart and claiming there is nothing wrong with it. The executive producer of Fox and Friends is quoted:

Wow. Those cojones get bigger and bigger.
