I thought it would be fun to try to assemble a list of the “recurring” threads (by Forum) that occur here on the Dope. For purposes of this thread, I’m deliberately leaving off the episode threads associated with a TV show since they tend to be inconsistent. Feel free to add to this, but let’s try to keep it to threads that have a two or three year history.

You know, I should have put a note that “recurring” in the sense of “we get something on that subject every so often” doesn’t count (at least for my purposes).

I personally would say no on the OOTS since it’s not scheduled and is “episodic” and thus similar to a TV thread, but certainly willing to hear argument for inclusion.
In the Game Room, I’ve done an NCAA basketball tournament pool thread the last 3, maybe 4 years, and someone else was doing them before I picked it up.
In MPSIMS, I’d suggest the CanaDoper Cafe. It’s a place for Canadian Dopers to discuss national and local matters affecting them (i.e. matters that probably would not be understood by anybody not Canadian). A new thread is begun every January 1, making it an annual thread; and the thread grows through the year. This year’s is up to over 2900 posts.
In addition to the monthly threads during the season, there are annual threads about the playoffs and World Series, as well as the Hot Stove League during the offseason. There may also be a Spring Training thread.
There are also annual threads about the Hall of Fame selections, and the awards (Cy Young, MVP, Rookie of the Year).
