The Run to Super Bowl Licks (LIX). 2024 NFL playoffs

Ravens were slight favorites over the Bills; wouldn’t call it an upset though.

That’s why I said going by the bracket, not Vegas.

I’d be tickled pink if that happened. I’m a Colts fan but I live in Virginia and a lot of my church friends are Washington fans.

That works for me. (Washington football fan since about 1958).

I’m with you on that (but a relative newcomer, a Washington football fan since about 1971)

Just before Super Bowl VII, then. Billy Kilmer and Larry Brown and Pat Fischer and Charley Taylor and Mike Bass and Coach George Allen run into an undefeated Miami Dolphins team. I remember that game.

Yes indeed. My first taste of defeat in a big game! (there would be many more to come)

hey! garo gave washington a touchdown in that game. dolfan here.

Good old Mike Bass. Outscored the entire Washington offense.

Garo Yepremian Epic Super Bowl Fail! | NFL’s Worst Plays Ever

oh man, that was a game. yepremian was a great kicker. not so good as a quarterback.

kicker is a very lonely and bipolar position.

garo was able to turn that play around and had a good post football career.

I guess he did, but I wasn’t aware of the good things he did until I Googled him just now after your post.

But every football fan who knows his name remembers him for that SB gaffe.

luckily not a gaffe that lost the game. he always had great interviews.

Note at one point he was the career leader in field goal percent.

I’ll give him credit, he did learn his lesson. After another block a few seasons later, instead of picking it up he simply kicked it out of bounds. Yeah it was a penalty but better than giving up another TD.

Garo’s Gaffe cost a 17-0 team the possible 17-0 final score. Instead, it was 14-7.

At least he could eventually poke fun at it.

Only because they won.

And he almost passed for a touchdown too.

The opening money line bet at Caesars sportsbook on the Chiefs/Bills game was Chiefs -115. This means that if you bet $115 on the Chiefs to win, and they won the game, you would make $100 and take home $215.

The line at Caesars is now Chiefs -135. Why? Well, in large part because one bettor placed a $1.3 million dollar bet on the Chiefs to win the game.

The bettor will win a million bucks if the Chiefs win.

Minus means you lay $115 to get $225 back. You’re describing +115

No, I’m describing -115. Put in the numbers on this website, and you’ll see that I’m right.

If the odds were +115, and I bet $100 and won, I would take home $215.

Damn, Ninja’d!

That’s not how minus OR positive work in betting.
