Wha!!! Please don’t tell me I missed it. I’m sure it will be on again tonight, but I must have written down the incorrect date. I live in Ohio, so I’m sure that I must have screwed up.
Anyone have a 2x4 handy? Someone in this thead needs a beatin’. Me.
Alright, so after I watch the encore, I’ll be back with comments. Feel free to join in the official “Shield: Loser Fans only” Thread.
Yep, you missed it. Fortunately, FX believes in airing each episode several times a week, so you’ll be ok.
I personally loved it. I am so happy the new season is starting. For a few glorious weeks, my three favorite shows are all airing at the same time. Ahhhh.
I really liked Glenn Close (I just realized right now what an odd name that is for a woman. Does anybody else know any female "Glenn"s?). I’m glad my high expectations of her paid off.
And I am fucking excited about the whole Shane storyline. I can just feel in my heart that it is going to be the most awesome thing the show has ever done.
Well, thanks for pointing out my error. I will try to catch the rerun. I hope I don’t have to wait until Friday, that would really suck, especially with pepperlandgirl trying to coax me into clicking on that spoiler box. Darn you girl!!!
He quit The Barn at the end of last season due to conflicts with Vic and his new pregnant squeeze. (Among other things). There was no mention of him whatsoever until the last scene, where it was revealed that he’s in Vice now. He obviously has turned a corner into a type of eeeevil that Vic and his boys never crossed. He obviously killed the guy for reasons as yet unclear. When Vic asked for the Blackberey, Shane refused saying his name was on it, then proceeded to get rid of all his fingerprints, etc from the crime scene. The end of the episode was him smiling at Vic and walking out, knowing Vic couldn’t even begin to go after him without ruining his whole career. Like pepperlandgirl, I am freakin over the MOON about tihs plot development. It’s going to be effing awesome.
I get it–Shield torture. Rancid is stupid enough to miss the show, so he deserves to live through hell until he sees the episode. Go ahead and spoiler away, I will not cave in. I am an oak.
You guys are like Vic and I’m your bitch, huh. Just keep slappin’ me around with the phone book and pressing my face onto the burning hot stove.
I agree with everyone who said the Shane storyline blew me away. Was enjoying the episode, really happy to have this show back, thought it was an interesting season opener with intriguing storylines and new character interplay, but nothing to write home about…then BAM! The ending of that episode was freakin’ awesome.
Can’t wait to see how that plays out.
On other notes - which way will Dutch turn?
Was anyone almost … almost … feeling sorry for Vic? The way he got humiliated by the ex-chief? He seems almost lost out there, without his team.
Small nitpick, Aceveda isn’t the mayor. He’s a city councilman. And I must agree that the ending with Shane was AWESOME. It looks like he got some guts to do something bad all on his own. I’m hoping we don’t see much of his whiney wife though. Glenn Close looks to be a great addition - I’m betting she’s going to be up to something while trying to push through her new gang recovery program (or whatever the heck ever it is called).
I’m also hoping Dutch and Claudette bust some big case wide open and shove it down the DA’s throat. I love those two together.
I did feel sorry for Vic…even if he did bring it upon himself. I’m happy there are actually consequences for his behaivor, but that doesn’t mean I don’t feel sorry for the guy.
