Shadow: your post was so moving. Hugs, hugs and more hugs.
{{{{{Shadow}}}}} Good for you! Really, it sounds like it was good for you.
I posted a reply to **CatDude **yesterday, or I thought I did. I was tired - who knows which button I clicked. Oh well - good luck to ya!!
**BBBobbio **- good on ya! VWife seemed almost normal when I met her - guess I’m not a good judge, huh?
Boss took down the balloons today and distributed them around the office - the cubicles runneth over! It looks so festive, in a shrinking balloon sort of way.
It was suggested that I start my official retirement paperwork today. I’m a bit worried - the incentive pay hasn’t been approved yet… I don’t like being paranoid, but this is my future we’re talking about. I’ll talk to my boss tomorrow.
That’s all I’ve got. It was another loverly weather day, right BBBobbio? Naturally, the weekend will be hot and humid and ick.
Awesome Shadow! You got to do the right thing and is sounds like got closure.
Dindin is et. Chikin is cooked for tomorrow. I think it shall become fajitas for at least one meal.
Ok, Ima go over to the church house for Evening Prayer.
Later Y’all!

Today was slightly less dull but still really really dull. Relo paperwork was UPS’d this afternoon so hopefully we can get going on getting the house on the market in the next week or so.
Supper is Chicken boobies stuffed with cream cheese, spinach and roasted bell peppers. Yum!
Home from Evening Prayer. Tummy is feelin’ a little upset. Wonder what brought that on. Mayhaps I should go lie upon the bed and watch teevee for a while.
I hate icky tummy feelin’!
Yummy dinner tonight. Almost the same as last week. I sauteed chicken cutlets again, but made a yummy lemon pan sauce this time. Sooo easy! With Rice-a-Roni and steamed broccoli.
I hope you feel better, Swampus!
My brain hurts. I’ve been in classes all week, and today’s focus was cryptography. Lots of babbling on about what 3DES EDE actually does, why MD5 is no good, why SHA-2 is good, and a bunch of chatter on the calamities over at RSA and the pain it’s caused us internally.
Other than the discussion about RSA and some theories about who did it and why, it’s all arcane minutia that really doesn’t play in my day-to-day work, so it’s pretty painful.
Think I need a popsicle and then off to bed.
Oh yeah, and my back is in shrieking pain at the same spot that was operated on two years ago.
Thank you for the kind words. It’s been a long day and I’m tired. Work was crazy due to vacations and my being gone yesterday afternoon. That, and I’m not thinking very clearly. I guess I’ve started grieving early. To add insult to injury, I got a splinter from a piece of paper.
Today was warm and sunny. It did not feel good on the sunburn I got yesterday. So fun to go to work with a sunburn after asking for time off to see your dying Nana. There wasn’t enough shade for the both of us and she didn’t want to go inside, so…
I had spring rolls and yellow curry for dinner tonight and it was yum. Plus, there’s plenty leftover for lunch tomorrow.
I’m babbling, so rosie’s sig to all.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN 'Tis 68 Amurrkin out, cooler than usual! Of course the predicted high will be around a hunnert. Strange liquid stuff fell from the sky last night and I’m told it could happen again today. I was both fascinated and frightened by it. What could it be!
Icky tummy started feelin’ better last night and is now no longer ick. I’m thinkin’ the combo of way too hot and humid and swillin’ down two bottles of water kinda quick was the reason.
Hope the back’s feelin’ better gotti.
Ok, off to seek more caffiene and some brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then, alas, it will be irk purtification time.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
Blurf.
Brekkified, and caffeinating present tense. It ain’t working, either.
Foomobile is in the shop, getting the driver’s seat fixed. Yee and haw, another $200 I won’t have for booze and hookers. Back to irk.
That’s an awesome realization, Shadow. Hugs.
Longish day yesterday. Went out to Tex-Mex restaurant yesterday; yum!
I know there was more, but I’m not awake yet. Off in search of breakfast and caffeine.
Hugs all.

Hope the back is better today, gotti
Up, caffeinated, off to irk. Hockey season is over for 89 days.
Howdy, Blurf here also. Sleep habits all askew. Dealing with female issues. Would like to do a self surgery to rid my body of all parts that bleed and ache every 24 days. Too old for this shit. I know, TMI. Just had to share the misery. Misery does love company. Have a great Thursday all. Stuffed
Good morning, y’all!
Good morning.
Blurf here, too.
Was touched by your story, Shadow.
Dolores, you show up anytime that pleases you and that’ll be fine. I don’t have a smoker so the ribs spent 4 hours in the oven, then I dipped them back in their juices and finished them with an hour on the grill. That worked so well I couldn’t bring myself to put a drop of sauce on 'em.
My sister goes in for an EKG map and pacemaker of some sort. I asked about the battery and she says 5 years before it needs replacing. I find that amazing. I guess if ya gotta be sick, the 21st century is the time to do it.
(((((Shadow)))))
Other than that, it’s all a big pile of blurf.
Yesterday evening on the way home from feeding my friends’ menagerie, the window on my car broke. After an interesting time trying to get my car parked with the offending side closest to the house to make the lack of window less obvious from the street, I had to mess around with a deflated airbed and a roll of masking tape in order to give it some degree of security and waterproofing overnight. When I told colleagues about it this lunchtime, instead of sympathy I got a chorus of “I wish you’d put that on ewe-toob”.
I think it was when I described the trauma of trying to reverse the car in a very tight space because the gate aperture isn’t really wide enough to swing the car round sufficiently to make the manoeuvre easily and the fact that I crunched the bay window of the house twice. The things I do to amuse my friends…
It’s my Firday today, I am off to York tomorrow. The friends whose pets I was feeding last night are coming over in the morning to give me and the cats a ride to the moggery though, and my poorly car is spending the weekend in the garage getting fixed. So by Monday afternoon I will be £230 worse off but I’ll have a car again.
Hugs to you Shadow.
It is also my Friday and I am very, very glad. The work weeks and days feel longer and longer. So much to do, not enough time, unreasonable demands, data shopping by customers, duplication of efforts; it’s all quite frustrating and stupid.
My son is working his ass off at his new job and has come home completely exhausted every single day. He said he feels fine when he gets home, but the minute he sits down, all his get up and go just goes. I laughed and welcomed him to adulthood.
Well, I should get back to my work. I donwanna…
Early early conference call this morning. A lot of participants were in the room with the speaker so there were lots of side conversations going on. Frustrating.
Anyways…done some work today, second appraiser just left and now it is time for lunch. Sammichs I think.
Tonight will be baked tilapia with roasted tomato and mango salsa/sauce. Baby tomotoes were looking a like they needed to be used so I roasted them last night with some balsamic vinegar - I will saute some sweet onions and garlic smoosh the tomatoes in chop the mango…and possibly some lime juice as I have 2 of those that need using. Veggies will be whatever I pull out of the fridge first but might include brocolli.
[Wanders off to find food…]
Homemade pizza tonight!
