The "somebody has to start it" MMP

I was 35 when I had to have all those bits removed, and I was sad about it, for about 20 minutes. It wasn’t fun working thru hot flashes, but, doggone, the monthly misery was gone gone gone! I would recommend against self-surgery, tho. The insurance forms will make you crazy!!

Home and about to shove a chickie into the rotisserie. We’ll also have smashed N.O.T., broccoli, and maybe something else. **FCD **will be home later than usual, but not ridiculously so.

Overcast, threatening rain. I hope the threat plays out - we need it!

Off to the kitchen!

Can I come over to your place?

Chicken apple sausages, corn on the cob for dinner. Strawberry shortcake on homemade biscuitss, local strawberries and freshly whipped cream for dessert.

Nom.

It was all yum, and I cut my finger, but I didn’t bleed on the chicken, so that’s good.

We’re having a really nice rain shower now, after some thunderboomers earlier. I think my plants are doing a happy dance.

Off to knit! Kisses!!! :heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:

This biscuit recipe was the best I’ve used hands down. Thank you Dorrie Greenspan!

Just sat through a half hour blackout. Stooopid thunderboomers.

Nitey nite.

No rain or storms here, just wheezing.

doggio: no wheezing allowed! ( ::looks sternly in the direction of asthma:: )

Oh, and I meant to say: hope your back is doing better today, gotti. RSA and theories about the impact is part of our family conversation as my brother is in the security business. Did you hear the cybersecurity story on NPR this morning? One of the guys they interviewed is a buddy of my brother’s. I thought it had some good basic info in it.

Gotta agree, lieu; if you’ve gotta be sick, now’s a pretty good time to pick. I’ve lost track of the number of my bionic friends, for example.

Best farm name ever: Oink Moo Click Farms. I must go to the farmer’s market, just to see them in person.

Should have been asleep by now. But I came home and took about an hour nap, so now I’m pretty awake.

Guess I should knit for a while.

Hugs.

gt - I love their products menu page. I’ll take three oink, 1 moo, and 2 cluck, please. I wish they had a franchise out here.

Good rehearsal tonight - but oy! I’m tired.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN 'Tis 70 degrees Amurrkin out and wet. We had tboomers and rain for a little over two hours last night. That’s why I did not post any. I turned off and unplugged puter due to large tboomers. Yay for rain though! The predicted high today is 99 Amurrkin with another possibility of rain and tboomers later in the day. I hope.

Other than that I got nuttin’. So, I go in search of more caffiene and brekkie prior to irk purtification.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Morning everyone! I have just been over to drop the cats off at their holiday home for the weekend as we’re off to York today so I won’t be around until late on Monday. Try not to miss me too much!

The cattery is fully booked in September when we’re off to the Caribbean so I’ve had to book them into a different one further away for that little break. And yesterday I found out that my current favourite bunch of singing Vikings are touring in November and they’re playing in my home town so that’s another couple of tickets to buy. They go on sale today so I will probably pick some up on Monday when we’re on the way back home from York.

So much excitement, huh?

I am so sleep deprived. I do not know how I’ll survive the next year, especially once both kids are in school and I’m working.

Up, caffeinated, off to irk.

{{{{Soapy}}}}

Sorry, I didn’t see this last night. Do you care for some cold leftover pizza? :stuck_out_tongue:
Uo and caffeinating on my Friday off. I have an eye doctor appt this morning, then I need to take Dad to get a haircut, and after that he is having some kind of laser treatment to get rid of some fogginess on the other eye. He had cataract surgery on it about three or four years ago, and it’s got some gunk on it, so they tell us.

Need more coffee…

Howdy from irk. ‘Tis slow. Matter of fact we’re short handed so I’m takin’ a turn answerin’ the phones. Mostly I’m sayin’ “I’m sorry so and so is out of the office today, would you like his/her voicemail?” Oh I also faxed sump’n and made some copies. I even offered to make coffee but nobody wanted any. Yeah, I’m kinda havin’ fun playin’ receptionist. With any luck I won’t staple my hand to the desk, get the phone cord wrapped around my neck or knock over any filin’ cabinets.

I’m here at home cruising the net and getting ready to face my busy day. Mr. Taters opted to take the day off so he’s home doing the same.

My son is off at work and daughter is in Missouri. According to her FB post from yesterday, she was “tired, stiff and grumpy” and she hates flying. She also said it was very humid there.

She’s down there for her boyfriend’s sister’s wedding and will be returning next week.

The weather is supposed to fairly decent today, so maybe I’ll get a little yardwork done too. I have some errands to run, but I also need to clean. Mr. Taters decided to invite our friends over tomorrow night, so I need to make sure the place is presentable and clean.

Other than that, I got nuttin’.

Today - 100
Tomorrow - 101
Father’s Day - 100

I would gladly pay someone Wednesday for an ice cube today.

Ok, but it’d just melt in transit.

Up and had the first conference call of the day. Now I must get coffee. Lots of it.

New washer arrives today so my exciting weekend involves laundry. Whoo and Hoo.

slightly cooler here today only 85 expected as oppposed to the 100 the past couple of days so Yay for that.

I am hungry so I need to get some brekkie.

Ugh **lieu, **that is faaaaaaaar too hot for me. I’m perfectly content without 75 degrees. Eighty degrees is tolerable if there is a nice soft breeze blowing.

We’re supposed to hit 70 degrees today (whoo, it’s a heat wave), and then mid sixties tomorrow and Sunday. Spring has never really arrived here this year, and it’s beginning to look like summer won’t either. :frowning:
