The Spring Done Sprung MMP

I had a thought. We can’t do it this year, but maybe if we beg and plead with TPTB, we could convince them to do it next year for St. Paddy’s Day:

We should have everybody’s user name start with "O’ . . . ".

So, I’d be O’phouka, for instance.

Just for the day.

Anybody with me?

sure

Maybe you should create a poll thread

swamp o’bear is all for it!

For that I’ll have to change my name to shit next St. Paddy’s Day 'cause I’m used to hearing that when people see me coming…

HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!!!

And best wishes to the happy couple, swampy!

Sorry for the non-sleeping, yelly children, LiLi. Hope you get to catch up on sleep a little bit.

So glad it’s Saturday! Had a really long week (our next project goes in in 4 weeks, so we’re hitting crunch time. Highlight, though, was getting to go to a couple of basketball games last night. There are round 2 & 3 games being played here in Columbus and my brother got tickets. We watched St. Louis vs. Memphis and then the one we actually cared about, Michigan State vs. Long Island - Brooklyn. It was a fun game in a fun place (we have a very nice arena and the area around it was really hopping with both overflow crowd and people celebrating St. Paddy’s a day early. (There were bagpipes and everything…).

It’s been really nice outside, so I’ve cleaned up all the perennials that I left up to provide “winter interest” - which you can barely call that because we really haven’t had a winter yet. I’m leaving leaves on the beds because I’m still expecting us to get some snow between now and mid-May. But it’s awesome to see all kinds of flowers blooming (all kinds of daffodils, chionodoxia, hyacinths, etc.).

Now I’m inside, watching the Buckeyes trying to stay in the tournament. Gonzaga is really giving them trouble.

It’s supposed to rain after a while, so I’m thinking I might go for a walk in a bit.

Looking forward to the video, tugig.

Back to the game.

Hugs.

And I’m back - whew! We went to see some metal cabinets that my sweetie saw advertised on a local website. $65 each for 2 heavy-duty steel 6-drawer cabinets. Emphasis on the heavy!!! The sellers loaded them on our trailer with their front end loader. Unloading, however, was a challenge, since we don’t happen to have a front end loader. **FCD **and I were futzing with it, trying to figure out what the heck we were going to do, and our neighbor, a young, strong guy, came over and helped. There’s no way the 2 of us could have managed without one of us dying, but Ben was a great help. Both cabinets are in the basement now, and **FCD **is messing with them a little while longer. I fear he hurt his back, the dummy…

I got grass seed, fertilizer, a spreader, and a new hose. Tomorrow I’ll seed the bare areas in the front yard. I was going to do it today, but obviously that didn’t happen. Oh well.

And not to be a party pooper, but due to my 100% Polish heritage, I can’t possibly put an O’ in front of my name. Sorry.

Do you have any idea how hard that is to do when one is kinda durnken?

Howdy Y’all! Home from the St. Patrick’s Day celebration. 'Twas a wunnerful celebration. Good Food. Good People. Good Beerverages. We had around a hunnert and forty folks show up! WOW!!! Da Bear is tahrd, semi-durkn and happy.

Winter is officially over. Yesterday evening, I heard the warbling tune of an ice cream truck trying to lure the neighborhood children.

We put a bunch of miles on our truck and our backs today. Made a dump run to get rid of some of the junk that was left by the previous people, including about a dozen cans of ugly and half-dried paint. Then, we emptied out the storage bin, filling the garage in the process. But now, all of of our stuff is at one address.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 60 degrees Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 87. ‘Twill be another glorious Spring day. The birdies are already chirpin’ away.

gotti yay for all your stuff bein’ in one place!

Oh, and as promised, a picture of Wasabi.

Now I need more caffiene and some brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheatenization shall commence. Da bear gets to ush today.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Good morning! Somewhere in my dreams last night, the guy who plays Angle Batista on Dexter was trying to persuade me to take a job in Antarctica. There were also some Amish guys in the dream repairing stairs outside an old building. I dare *anyone *to analyze that dream for me! :stuck_out_tongue:

Today, I’ll do the grass seeding I didn’t get to do yesterday. Daughter is coming over for dinner, so I’ve got to get the corned beef boiling this afternoon. Beyond that, no big plans. Yet.

That’s all I’ve got. I’m still not sure why I’m awake this early… Happy Sunday anyway!

Yawn.

Happy birthday, Pearl!

I am having a properly lazy Sunday, I didn’t get up until mid-morning and I plan to do very little today. I’ve got some seeds that need to be planted so that I’ll hopefully get some veg from them in the summer. I will plant them in small pots now, and then move them into something bigger when they’ve sprouted, and eventually they’ll go outside in tubs but for now, I just need to get them started off.

As it’s nearly midday, I will have think about NoL, I took some home-made soup out of the freezer last night so I can have that, and I think I’ll make a nice sammidge to go with it. Have to poke around in the fridge and see what we’ve got, although at the moment I am quite fancying a dollop of Marmite.

Hmm…Marmite sammidge…yum!

It’s nearly 8 - should I wake my sleeping sweetie and make him take me out to breakfast? Decisions, decisions…

I’s hongree - decision made!

How’ his back feeling?

That is some barely contained hyper right there.

HAPPY PEARL DAY!

Hippo Birdies, Pearl!

I fought with Nature to stay asleep, but between her and the cat, I was out of bed by 6:30. Now (10 am) I am over tired and sleepy, and I’m going back to bed for two hours or so. So there.

Allowing your body to do it’s thing without your demanding it do otherwise is one of life’s pleasures.

Painful - duh! But *I *was the one getting the hairy eyeball cast my way when I suggested maybe we should get some help with the heavy cabinets… Stoopit testosterone poisoning…

On our way to the cafe in Leonardtown, we passed the Leonardtown Grille and discovered they did breakfast, so we decided to give it a try. It was very yum. I got a crab-n-shrimp omelet that was yummerrific! So we will definitely return there on occasion.

It’s dreary and drizzly right now, no way I’m going to work in the yard till it’s less ick outside. I hope I can get the seed down today. I suppose I could do FCD’s laundry today and do the seeding tomorrow, if the stoopit sun doesn’t come out.

Actually, it’s a perfect day to go back to bed. hmmmmmmmm
