The Spring into Spring MMP

Space blanket…space blanket…where did I put the damn thing?

well, they would still be in order, you’d just have to stop the spinning at “Ancho chili powder”

Still undecided about whether to go out tonight. I might just stay home and try to get stuff done.

Nothing too exciting going on with me today. Well, not exciting to anyone else, anyway.

After irk today, I’m headin’ over to the church house to slice up catfish filets for tomorrow night. Then, I’ll head on over to OYKW’s place. Then, we’ll go grab a burger. Envy my whirlwind social life!

Not as much fun as sitting around dozing on Percocet!

Slept really badly last night; actually dropped an Rx-type pill to help. Just one of those times my brain wouldn’t stop. Didn’t leave the covers until later than usual but at least I’m rested and raring to go.

I am SO over snow. It’s been snowing steadily since before dawn and there’s already 4 inches from this storm, which is supposed to last past sunset.

Did you bring enough for everyone, Young Lady?
:dubious:

I’m still envious of people who can get relief from the current crop of pharmaceuticals. At best, percocet makes me a touch drowsy while the pain rages on.

Speaking of pain, who snuck over here and tried to unscrew my leg? My left knee has been home to a variety of clicks, pops, wobbles and clunks.

None for me, thanks. It’ll clash with my Vicoden.

Damned snow is falling. It snuck in while I was dozing in front of Netflix. It’s coming down pretty fast, so I’m guessing it’s either mixed with rain or it’s quite wet on its own. No matter - it sucks! But it does appear that if we survive today and tomorrow, temps will creep closer to normal in the following days.

One can only dream…

Mooom, I’been known to use a plastic shopping bag much in the manner you described as a conditioning cap. :stuck_out_tongue:

Today is the fourth weather day in the past 2.5 weeks. We got about 3" of snow this morning on top of the 3" of rain and 1/2 " of ice from yesterday and last night. Yesterday’s high was 60F. Today we’re slated to get up to a whopping 26F. Methinks it’s time Ma Nature took her meds.

I have played a lot in the studio with a marathon of Blue Bloods in the background. What Mark Harmon is to Mooom, Tom Selleck is to me.

I’m on my main computer while I’m babysitting the expensive computer while it has software updates before it shuts down. The reason I’m shutting it down is because my expensive piece of software on that computer suddenly decided to not work, so I thought shutting the computer down and then starting it would make the expensive program work. But now it’s installing a bunch of “updates” with no end in sight, and I’m not sure if it’ll all end up being malware and viruses, which constitute most of what’s on the computer besides the expensive program.

And I’m willing to bet (what little money I have after shelling out for the expensive computer and software) that after all of this update-y bullshit, the expensive program won’t work.

If I’m poor and unemployed, you might wonder where I got all this money for pricey computers and programs, and why I bought them. Well, I saved up for a while, I hardly had any money left afterwards, and my eventual plan was to learn how to use the expensive software to write music and sell the music and eventually earn some money. So it wasn’t intended to be a frivolous waste of money or anything.

So yeah, that’s my entire life story up until now. Sorry to have bored anyone who tried to read it.

My son looked out the front window this AM, and muttered something about ground hog day.
Our 3-5" forecast has transformed into 8-12". The sand trucks are sliding down the hills.

A New England friend of mine posted that he’d just come inside from shoveling 6 inches of the Coating to 2" that was forecast.

Spousal unit took over an hour to get home on what is normally less than half an hour commute. He got stuck on the little slope at the end of our driveway and had to dig away some snow so he could get to the flat section and make it into the garage. Pretty sure there’s at least 5" out there, and it’s heavy.

Winter sucks - have I mentioned that lately?

Maybe today or tomorrow I can take a picture of all the snow that’s in my backyard. It’s over 6 inches, I can assure you.

My other (new) computer is so full of viruses, malware, etc., that I want to just get rid of the whole thing. But hey, at least the software works. I was doing some work on the software when suddenly my computer started playing a long loud speech about some utter fucking bullshit nonsense called Binary Options. It was a video or something, but I couldn’t see the video or find it playing in a browser, so there was NO WAY to shut it off. It was the most annoying thing I’ve encountered in a long, long time. I called my dad in and he couldn’t shut it off.

Fuck my life;

**Midget **- have you tried Malwarebytes? We’ve had good luck when we got crap on our machines. They have a free version that seems to work well.

Supper is hamburger helper jazzed up with onions and mushrooms. It’s still snowing. Winter sucks.

I did try to download MalwareBytes, but my browser decided it would threaten my “browsing experience” or some nonsense, so it didn’t get downloaded. This was Chrome. I should try IE maybe.
