I think what you guys are missing is that as a presidential candidate Biden was entitled to those intelligence briefings but in Trump world he stopped being a candidate on November 3rd. At that point he lost the election and was no longer entitled to briefings just like assume Obama wasn’t giving them to Clinton on November 11th 2016. It’s crazy destructive to the country but that is totally on brand for trump and his supporters.
If they normally do, Biden should revoke his security clearance, just like he did to John Brennan.
On the other hand, Trump doesn’t pay attention now. What’s the chance he will even want the briefings after he’s gone? (other than to transmit to Putin)
That would actually be for the good of the country. He should revoke Javanka’s ill-gotten clearances too. Republicans would say it was a partisan move, but isn’t it enough that they all have 4 years’ worth of secrets to sell?
You know he’ll be bitching and moaning over everything Biden does. Trump is craven and stupid enough to use classified materials carelessly. He shouldn’t have access to anything at all once his fat ass hits the pavement.
It would be better optics for him to direct his national security department heads to review the clearances, with an eye toward assessing the advisability of confirming their continuing validity, and then act in accordance with their recommendations. That is, it wouldn’t be the President personally ordering the revocations, but the persons with the appropriately delegated authority doing so.
and it would be entirely inline with what the current ‘adminstration’ does with reviewing prior administrations clearances.

There are presumably different levels of security, with the president having the most immediate access to the most sensitive material. Biden’s getting some of that intel, just like senators and congressional reps with authorization might. But what specific assets are doing 24/hr a day or when Putin goes for his afternoon swim with polar bears…that’s probably deep within the IC.
This is perfectly in keeping with everything Trump ever does. Everything is just a performance.
Here’s a tough transition question - how long does Biden let the White House “air out” before moving in? And I’m only halfway joking. Can you imagine how COVID-ridden that place is? What are the odds that a few COVID-positive Republicans purposely lick the doorknobs and cough everywhere before their departure?
Should probably “tent” and fumigate the White House for a week or two. And not just because of Covid.

Well, the cheap golden electroplating is probably wearing off by now anyway and looks like crap.
I was thinking that a whole boatload of priests, ministers, rabbis, shamans, imams, and wiccans should be rounded up. Enough so that they can all hold hands and encircle the WH while sage smudge sticks and Catholic incense are burned and the smoke wafted toward the building with non-endangered bird feathers. Some chanting, crystal sucking, and rosary-saying would probably be in order, too.
As a secular-minded guy, I’d send in an army of pest controllers instead.
