The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making Part Deux (Part 1)

What if they’re anti-vaxers? Seems to correlate well with the QAnon crowd.

No pardon without a vaccination?

This is your year end ass end bonus? Just bend over (like you’ve been doing for up to the last 4 years).

“Just drink a little of this Trump-Aid. It’ll make any adverse reaction go away, You won’t feel a thing.”

This was the first thought that occurred to me, along with the thought of what, exactly, justifies prioritising white house staff?

After they’re vaccinated, will the Al-Qanon* feel betrayal, and begin mass self-throat-slitting?

*orignally meant that as a play on ‘Al-Anon’, but ‘Al Qaeda’ also (almost) works.

But how will anti-vaxxers (I’ll wager one or two might be Trumpers) square with D + M getting theirs?

So… about Trump’s ability to protect Americans:

I’m not even sure there have been any discussions in general about whether or not people who’ve already been sick should get vaccinated; everything has been so focused on front-line healthcare workers and elderly people in care homes. Of course, plenty of people in those groups have been sick as well. Maybe this is the last gasp of Trump the germaphobe; he’s made it perfectly clear that he doesn’t grasp science.

Those who fancy themselves aristocracy will always try to protect themselves ahead of the peasants and serfs. It’s obvious the Trump administration feel they’re above the rest of us, just as they feel they’re above the law.

I’ve heard she’s specifically gunning for Little Marco’s job. No idea if it’s true.

Which he is literally doing with federal death row inmates.

I wonder if we could convince them to harass Mitch for a while. Tell them that it’s all his fault for not supporting Trump hard enough. That’d be amusing.

I wonder if we could just get House democrats to pass a resolution to acknowledge that Donald Trump is the king of the solar system (except for the United States)…maybe that would be ointment for the ego.

Trump says the WH will not get vaccines in the first round: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/election-2020-today-electoral-college-votes-vaccine-u-turn/2020/12/14/5a7df09a-3e12-11eb-b58b-1623f6267960_story.html

Most of his favorites already have acquired immunity so …

They must have thought it conferred immunity to prosecution. No wonder they were in a rush to get it.

One can hope.

Assuming no one is asking for financial aid, what purpose would personal and business tax returns serve? My kids went to private school for two years, no one wanted to see my tax returns.

Well, obviously that’s not the same caliber of school.Anyone can go there! Without seeing your financial statement, how can they be sure of getting the best students? Of providing the proper environment?

A letter of recommendation from Henry Kissinger goes a long way, too.

I assume its to make sure that you can actually pay the massive tuition that they require. They probably don’t want students who attend for a few weeks but then have to quit because they can’t pay the bills.

After looking at the school’s website, I think the most likely thing is that the original reporting is in error, and that tax records are only required if you are applying for financial aid, which is exactly the same as 99% of private schools in the US.

That makes much more sense. Thanks for digging into it.

Although that doesn’t rule out Trump. His tax returns show massive losses, and he’s never shown any inclination to pay for anything himself if he can get somebody else to pay.

Maybe the general rule is to require financial information if you’re applying for aid, BUT that the school administration has the discretion to ask for demand financial statements where they deem it necessary. Like if the parent is well-known to be a lying, blustering, dishonorable deadbeat. It is a private school and ISTM they can ask for anything they want.

Meh. I’m not for laying the sins of the father at the feet of the son. The adult children have their own sins as part of the family but Barron, until he becomes an adult, should not be exposed to more of that shitshow than is strictly necessary.

As long as they pay the full tuition in advance (it is Trump, after all), there’s no reason they should have to jump through extra hoops regarding their finances.

It would be hugely amusing if Barron turned out more like Ron Reagan, Jr than Donald Trump, Jr.
