I am an Atheist, however I was raised nominally Christian. I’ve also studied the bible as literature etc. I’ve thought that if I believed in the anti-Christ that trump fits the bill. Maybe the evangelicals are happy to have the anti-Christ among us because it moves along the end times?

He demonstrates many of the characteristics of a sociopath and may not actually possess a conventional sense of right and wrong. Such people do get by in society, not by having a normal moral sense but by recognizing their own place in society depends on emulating the behaviors such people have.

Now we diverge from theology and start talking about law. As I understand it, that awareness is necessary for someone to have an understanding of right and wrong. I believe the legal term is mens rea (I learned that term here on this board). I strongly suspect that Trump has reached the point where, if they do ever get him on the stand, someone will move for a competency hearing, and he would fail it.
The article describes “the Knights Templar” as “a supportive organization founded on the ideals of the Crusaders”. A more accurate description would be “a tiny fringe group of far-right nutjobs”. They have about as much to do with the original KTs as the modern Masons have to do with stone carving.
Mind you, that makes their criticism of Trump all the more entertaining.
