I’ll concede that there’s small chance that someone in the Trump administration might be behind the assassination attempt. There is, however, no way in hell that they’d tell Karoline Leavitt.
It is the one thing I’ll credit them with mild competence in - seizing any opportunity that presents itself and (attempting at least) to exploit it for their own gain. This is not a group to sit around dithering - when a potential opportunity raises its head they strike and worry about the consequences… well probably never, but certainly afterwards.
