The Trump Administration: The Clusterfuck Continues (Part 2)

Remember how outraged the Republicans were about the four dead in Benghazi and how they pretended that Hillary Clinton said “What difference does it make?” about those deaths (rather than about whether the attack was spurred by a film or not)?

Boy, I bet they’ll be up in arms about this. Any day now, yup…

Since I’ve been rewatching Breaking bad, Trump’s down playing the casualty numbers reminded me of this scene in which Walter White down plays a airline disaster for which he was indirectly responsible.

And that’s without any troops on the ground in Iran. Ground pounders usually make up most of the casualties in any war. How many aircrew were lost in Afghanistan? How many troops did the Afghans kill outside of Afghanistan? Iran is shooting down planes and attacking bases and ships that are sometimes hundreds of miles outside their own borders. It’s a fundamentally different type of war.

…altogether.

It’s a fundamentally different type of war.

Shirley.

There. I said it.

You jest!

Well, he wasn’t that good. Snoopy did a better job mocking Lucy in A Charlie Brown Christmas.

not in the video I saw.

I guess it isn’t that the dancing bear dances well, it’s that he dances at all. .

Over Macho Grande?

I’ll never get over Macho Grande

Forget it Jake, it’s Chinatown.

Somehow it’s never occurred to me that the “big strong man approached me with tears in his eyes” fantasies might have a basis in truth: the fact that getting near Captain Stinky might actually induce tears in the eyes of those unaccustomed to the stench.

I suppose the WH staff are either used to it—or maybe wear some kind of nostril-filling blocks.

That wouldn’t explain the “Arizona is becoming a Republican state” claim in his post, though. (‘Becoming a Republican state’ implies general-election wins.)

OK, it’s a mixture of “his candidates won” and “confusion over primary and general elections”.

Sean Duffy has announced the Trump administration will strip funding for bike lanes. Because Duffy states bike lanes are “DEI”. In his announcement he also referred to “Boot-edge-edge” which it took me a second to figure out was Pete Buttigieg, his predecessor as Secretary of Transportation.

So what’s next? No more funding for crosswalks and sidewalks? Require states to remove the markings on existing bike lanes? Forbid states from registering EVs?

The admin is trying to maga-fy Jimothy.

Jesus H! Do they have to destroy every good thing in this world?

It’s a rhetorical question, right?

What is wrong with associating a trash panda with too little spine to MAGA?
