Please tell me that you live somewhere near the gulf. I mean, it’s still a moronic thing to do, but if you live in, say, Ohio, that’s extra levels of delusion.
This flag is on the WA/ID border. The land of many other moronic flags including a gazillion stupid Gadsden flags. Idaho even has don’t tread on me license plates (I see they aren’t unique to this style of right-wing nut-jobbery).
This should be their license plates.

Wow, I’ve heard a little about that neck of the woods. Ain’t the people in this country something else?
(For the record, I’m south of the city of Chicago by about 15 miles or so. Where the cornfields begin. And the sparse population south of me vote Trump all the way.)

I’m personally fond of this variant;
I was concerned about it running into the St. Lawrence, and giving … um … Richard Head … ideas.
And the possibility that it would be harder to pronouced? Not even a factor
Honestly, “G’fidget” rolls readily off the tongue.
So … there’s that.
All of them. In no particular order. Or maybe simultaneously.
As I said on another thread, the Canadians have already renamed the river/estuary to The Strait of Our Moose .
Changing Planet Claire Earth to Planet Trump would have them all covered at once.

I thought Éire banned convicted felons.
Protests are set to take place in Ireland when President Donald Trump attends the Irish Open at his golf course in Doonbeg, County Clare, next month.
Local groups, including the Irish Neutrality League , which advocates for Irish neutrality in international conflicts, and The Irish Anti-War Movement , have expressed their intention to take part in demonstrations .
Irish Labour Senator Nessa Cosgrove has referred to the visit taking place from Sept. 12 to 13 as a “security nightmare” and said she hopes the U.S. President “takes time to learn why people might be exercised" about the trip.
“They are angry about fuel prices, which have spiraled because of his unnecessary war of aggression in Iran,” she told Irish media last week, adding that people are also angry about the “ill-treatment of the Palestinian people by his closest allies in Israel.”
In a follow-up statement to TIME, Cosgrove states that “protecting a serving U.S. President is a serious responsibility, and An Garda Síochána [Ireland’s police force] must have the resources necessary to do that safely.”
“We should also be very clear that people have every right to peacefully protest President Trump’s visit. We expect there will be significant protests and many Labour Party members and elected representatives will be joining them,” she tells TIME. “Many people in Ireland have profound and legitimate objections to his Administration’s actions and policies, to put it mildly, and they have every right to make those views heard.”
Killer Kennedy Caught in a Crock.
NEW YORK (AP) — Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. repeatedly told lawmakers who held the key to his confirmation last year that a 2019 visit to Samoa before a deadly measles outbreak had “nothing to do with vaccines.” New documents obtained by The Associated Press and The Guardian refute that testimony.
Kennedy, then a prominent anti-vaccine activist, preceded the visit with a letter to the Samoan prime minister requesting to study the Pacific island nation’s measles, mumps and rubella vaccines after the deaths of two children who had received them. In the letter, he used the words vaccine or vaccination eight times.
The letter raises questions about how truthful Kennedy was in testimony before Congress. During an arduous confirmation process where he needed the support of some skeptical Republican lawmakers to advance, Kennedy also pledged to maintain vaccine policies that, once in office, he moved to change.
“I am writing this letter to you in the hope that we might be helpful to the people of your great nation,” Kennedy wrote, adding that he believed the deaths of the two children could have resulted from manufacturing issues.
“I would propose my team conduct detailed health informatics assessment in Samoa of what happened with your MMR vaccines,” he continued.
Neighbor of the beast felon profits. (The bolding is mine.)
A company run by a neighbor of President Donald Trump is set to earn a nearly billion-dollar windfall as a result of a settlement deal to end U.S. offshore wind projects , according to a new report.
Under the settlement, announced earlier this month, the Trump administration will pay RWE , a German energy company, $1.2 billion for it to relinquish its offshore leases in New York, California and Louisiana.
The Republican president has long opposed offshore wind projects — which he’s labeled ugly, expensive and detrimental to whales — and has worked to block leases. Instead, his administration has moved to bolster and expand the fossil fuel industry .
“After careful consideration, it was determined there is no path forward to permit these projects in the U.S. for the foreseeable future,” RWE U.S. Offshore said in a statement . The agreement brings the total amount spent on such settlements to nearly $4 billion.
A stipulation of the deal is that RWE must invest in “conventional energy” ventures. In fact, the company will spend the lion’s share of the payout, $900 million, to purchase part of a liquefied natural gas project in Louisiana, The Washington Post reported.
That stake is being bought from Stonespeak, a private equity venture led by Michael Dorrell, an Australian billionaire. Dorrell, who is also a U.S. citizen, has both monetary and physical ties to the president.
DHS (Department of Homage, Sir ) goes all the way down the propaganda rabbit hole. (The bolding is mine.)
A stern image of President Donald Trump became the centerpiece of a Homeland Security social media post Monday, with just four words inviting plenty of interpretation. The Department of Homeland Security used the portrait while highlighting a string of developments favorable to the administration.
The August 24 post showed Donald Trump looking directly into the camera with a doubtful expression. Across the image appeared the question, “Did you remain loyal?”
Did I say Department of Homage, Sir ? It should be Department of Heil Sir .
Many attorneys general suing the dictator.
A coalition of states argues new USPS requirements unlawfully interfere with their authority to administer elections.
New York Attorney General Letitia James and a coalition of state attorneys general are taking the Trump administration to court over new federal rules that could change how millions of Americans receive and return mail-in ballots. The lawsuit comes just weeks before the 2026 midterm elections, after the Supreme Court lifted an earlier injunction blocking key parts of Trump’s mail-voting order.
Under the new system, states would have to provide the United States Postal Service (USPS) with lists of voters seeking to receive mail ballots. However, ballot envelopes would have to comply with new federal requirements, including unique Intelligent Mail barcodes. As reported by the New York Daily News, USPS could refuse to transmit ballots that do not meet the new requirements or are associated with voters who are not on the relevant lists.
James, joined by 23 other attorneys general, the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania’s governor, argues that the Postal Service is exceeding its legal authority and interfering with states’ constitutional responsibility to administer elections. According to Office of the New York Attorney General, the coalition is asking a federal court to block enforcement of the rule and ultimately declare it unlawful.
The felon’s minime loves to blame foreigners.
(The Center Square) – U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson says foreign bettors are helping push prediction markets into giving Democrats better odds of taking over the House.
Johnson made the claim while campaigning for Republican House candidates in Pennsylvania last week.
Punchbowl News reporter Jake Sherman reported that Johnson thinks Republicans will “substantially” grow their small House majority in November. Johnson also said prediction markets showing a likely Democratic win are being swayed by foreigners betting on the election.
Sherman’s X post about the interview didn’t say how much foreign money is in the markets.
The prediction markets disagree with Johnson’s forecast.
Kalshi gives Democrats an 86% chance of winning the U.S. House. Over $30 million has been traded on the market.
Polymarket gives Democrats an 88% chance of winning the chamber. That market has about $10 million in trading volume.
Don’t worry! Killer Kennedy says measles isn’t killing anyone.
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Wednesday went as far as to suggest that the two measles deaths reported in Pennsylvania earlier this week may “have been altogether fabricated” by Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro’s team.
Kennedy, one of the most prominent vaccine skeptics in the country, has been sparring with Shapiro following the announcement of the two measles-associated deaths
In a post on X , formerly Twitter, from his official government account, Kennedy criticized Shapiro over a Tuesday press conference in which the governor discussed the ongoing measles outbreak in Pennsylvania, including the fatalities in Lancaster County.
“The announcement appears to have been premature, and the deaths may even have been altogether fabricated by one of the Governor’s hopeful staffers,” the secretary claimed. “The Lancaster County Coroner says that it has no record of any measles deaths. State law requires that all measles deaths be reported to the coroner.”
Dr. Debra Bogen, Pennsylvania’s secretary of health, contested the validity of the claims made by Kennedy without naming the Trump official.
“As a pediatrician with more than 30 years of caring for children, I have thoroughly reviewed the case investigation information and sadly can confirm that there were two recent measles-associated deaths in Lancaster County, which were reported to the CDC’s measles response team early Tuesday morning,” she said in a statement .
Did you catch that? He’s blaming a Jew for the uproar against him.
War on LEGAL immigration continues. (The bolding is mine.)
The United States temporarily suspended visa processing worldwide Tuesday, and green card applicants already facing lengthy backlogs now face more uncertainty about their application status.
The Department of State, which processes immigration applications abroad, paused all visa processing to train embassy and consular staff on new public charge rules , which could deny applications if an individual appears likely to rely on government benefits.
The latest action also arrives after a series of Trump administration measures that have slowed or paused different parts of the legal immigration system, including green card processing for some refugees, asylum seekers and nationals of countries targeted by travel restrictions .
“I don’t know if the timing is coincidental or deliberate, but this ‘pause’ that involves the cancellation of immigrant visa interviews worldwide, comes at a critical moment,” Elissa Taub, a partner at Siskind Susser in Memphis, Tennessee, told Newsweek .
“First, we are approaching the end of the government’s fiscal year, and instead of focusing on issuing all available immigrant visas by September 30, the government mass canceled interviews with no promise or hint as to when processing of those cases will resume. If the government does not use all the available visas, they go to waste, which would be awful for the many people waiting patiently for years for their chance to immigrate to the U.S.”
We interrupt this thread to highlight the current state of GOP voters.
President Donald Trump has eclipsed Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln as the Republican president most admired by GOP voters, according to polling that underscores his enduring command of the party despite historically weak approval ratings among Americans overall.
Some 53 percent of Republicans named Trump as the Republican president they admire most, nearly three times the 18 percent who selected Reagan and more than six times the 8 percent who chose Lincoln, according to a CNN poll conducted by SSRS.
A separate Elon University poll pointed to the same partisan attachment, though by a narrower margin. Some 29 percent of Republicans called Trump the best president in U.S. history, ahead of Lincoln at 25 percent and George Washington at 14 percent.
What the ever loving? These idiots think he’s better than Abraham Lincoln ?

The Second Felonial Era wants to Sharpie a 2023 climate report.
The Trump administration is looking to change a portion of a 2023 federal climate report.
The administration proposed to reframe how the Fifth National Climate Assessment sees its worst-case scenarios after U.N. scientists said earlier this year that a worst-case scenario was not plausible.
In a notice published this week , the Trump administration described the federal climate report’s high-emission scenarios as not representing “plausible policy-relevant baseline futures and should not be used to frame expected, likely, central, or business-as-usual conditions for federal decision making.”
It instructed federal agencies not to treat the worst-case scenario as “expected, likely, baseline, business-as-usual, central, or policy-relevant.”
War criminal Hegseth gets sued for violating the first amendment.
Washington — Three fired Stars and Stripes journalists sued Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and two other top Pentagon officials in federal court Thursday, claiming the Trump administration is attempting to fire them illegally as part of its “extraordinary censorship efforts” against the military news outlet.
The plaintiffs — publisher Max Lederer, editor-in-chief Erik Slavin and reporter Lara Korte — were given separation notices last week. The cause cited was insubordination.
They alleged that they were fired both for “speaking up as private citizens in support of the press’s freedom to cover military operations,” and because of their reporting on rough conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. The lawsuit names Hegseth, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell and aide Andrew Brey as defendants.
Slavin and Korte said the alleged insubordination cited in their termination notices was related to interviews they gave to CBS News for a piece on “CBS Sunday Morning” that aired in July. In the story, Korte said that she worked for Stars and Stripes, “not for the Pentagon, not for any administration, not for any policymaker.”

Trump is slop-posting again - in this case, he (read: Natalie) pparently took a graphic from a 1948 issue of Life magazine, then stuck himself on the top and put Obama, Biden, and Carter on the bottom and omitted every other president since Truman (except Clinton, who rates as ‘average’).

I went through his recent “truths” and he is absolutely obsessed with Talarico. Talarico might need to get a restraining order.
There was also this beauty. What a delusional imbecile.
He had to leave out Saint Ronnie because, where would he rank him? He could not tolerate the competition.

As I noted, the original graphic is from 1948 - all Natalie did was add in Trump on the top and the post-FDR Democrats that he doesn’t like. (No way would Trump have rated FDR as “great” if any actual effort went into this, and he would have rated McKinley better than “average”.)
Yeah it’s a bit like a deafeningly loud motorbike: both the neighbours and the biker say “It’s so LOUD!”. They just reach an utterly different conclusions about what that implies.
Oh, I see, Clinton must have been pasted over Garfield, whom no one really remembers.
