The U.S. Mint has released a new $1 coin with President Donald Trump’s face on it.
“Available for purchase today at 12PM ET: 2026 President Donald J. Trump $1 Coin,” the U.S. Mint said in a post on X Wednesday. “These coins are also in circulation, so check your pocket change. Collect them today!”
The Treasury Department announced the new coin was being produced in July as part of America’s 250th birthday. The U.S. Commission of Fine Arts — whose members were appointed by Trump — approved the design earlier this year.

Well, that …plus physics. Venezuelan crude is too sour to store in the SPR for later extraction. There’s no chance any of it would ever be put in our reserves unless we actively wanted to sabotage our reserves.
And the “deal” as it currently stands is for oil companies to have the right to buy (or extract with a cut going to Venezuela) a guaranteed amount from Venezuela and for the US to potentially buy some of that from those oil companies at cost. And that’s not exactly a bargain for the American taxpayer.
Basically, as usual, he’s just making a lot of shit up and the “deal” is no such thing even if it happens (except the part where he grifts as much as possible).
