The Trump Administration: The Clusterfuck Continues (Part 2)

Always gotta fuck over the poor don’tcha Donny?

Why not? They’re still going to vote for him. It’s the best example of Thank you, sir; may I have another?

I gotta say, they went a little on-the-nose with the villain design for the new Wolfenstein game.

So is that a black sweater with, like, a well-fortified collar, or something?

If you zoom in he appears to be wearing a black vest and a dark blue tie, in an unusually large knot, with a wing-tip collar.

Which certainly doesn’t make the video game bad guy vibe any lesser.

It looks more to me like one of the propaganda ads shown in Starship Troopers.

“Never surrender,” huh? Right; it’s “turn tail and run” as the order of the day.

Whenever I read any quotes from Rip van Simple, why do I always hear the narrator’s voice from a Dr. Seuss special?

Trump whines that Fox News isn’t covering his Loon-a-Palooza tour:

Note: the rally he is bragging about took place in a high school gym.

Not only that, but Butler High School (the only high school in the Vandalia-Butler City Schools District) has a student population of about 900 (across three years, I would suspect).

The picture below is from Butler High School’s website, and shows the school’s gym, during a commencement ceremony. It’s not even a terribly big gym.

So he’s running away from a decimated enemy? Or is he trying to be clever and use “decimated” in the literal sense of being reduced by a tenth?

The B-1B Lancer can fly at speeds of 700-850 mph and carries up to 75,000 lbs of bombs but can be defeated by five dudes in three vans who were probably out dogging. The Afghans fought tooth and nail to get the US to leave and they probably would have kept fighting forever. Who knew all it takes to defeat the US is… loitering?

It’s been 80 years and our military is still set up to fight World War II.

To be fair, the people who pay IRMAA are not poor, but since it says “income related” the idiot probably thinks that they are receiving an undeserved deal.

Anything that does not wind up in his pocket is an undeserved deal. Trump is a zero-sum player.

The felon’s back to murdering people at sea.

What’s the matter? Wouldn’t Petey let him force rally a bunch of soldiers to attend one of his speeches?

That’s surprising … it’s bigger than any gym I’ve seen in the UK.
(not that I’ve seem many…)

#2 son went to school with a kid who attended the Air Force academy and became a B1 pilot. Last I knew he was in England - wonder if he’s coming home.

Brave Sir Donny bravely ran away.

Good thing trump wasn’t president during the Cold War.

Well, no one can accuse Paul Krugman of mincing words. Free to read and free to subscribe.

:open_mouth:

The cesspit of corruption that is Donald Trump’s presidency is finally getting the attention it deserves. It’s about time. And if a massive blue wave sweeps Washington on November 3rd as polls now suggest, Democrats should put corruption front and center of their agenda in Congress.

The level of corruption that Trump has engaged in and enabled in others is completely unprecedented – self-dealing that, as Trump would say, is like nothing anybody has ever seen before. America currently has a Republican president who, along with his family, has raked in billions, possibly close to $10 billion in personal gain from office in less than two years. He has effectively sold criminal pardons to scammers, invalidating the legal claims of their victims for restitution. His son-in-law Jared Kushner has become a billionaire running an investment fund for Gulf petro-state autocrats despite having no discernible investment skills.

There’s more in his Substack.

I have a theory …

Trump is being surprisingly stingy with his $400M PAC money. Also note that to fund the “Love me” propaganda commercial for a piddly $20m he also diverted money from public funds. Why go to these lengths to avoid spending PAC money? Because (here’s the theory): he’s pilfered the PAC money and it’s all in a Swiss bank account that he’d rather no one know about.
