The Trump Administration: The Clusterfuck Continues (Part 2)

Is the United States even a country any more?

The felon’s whizzing ont the first amendment yet again (or is it still?).

SECWARCRIM rewrites histroy big time.

Reporter asks the felon to provide a logical explanation. Meltdown ensues.

The war on education continues.

Pubbie senator says it’s not Trump’s fault for high diesel prices. It’s Zelenskyy’s.

Fox News is starting to act like journalism is their bag, baby. (The formatting is from the linked article.)

Apparenlty breaking up is not all that hard to do.

The master geographer now says the US can leave Europe.

Here’s the money quote.

I’m confused. Does the United State still actually have any allies in Europe now?

Do you notice a bit of a conundrum here?

The Gulf of Mexico also borders multiple countries.

What’s a little election interference among scum?

Not a well-functioning one.

For now. At the very least, you’d think Trump would keep FEMA around just so he can help red states and withhold assistance from blue states as a form of punishment for not voting for him. For whatever reason, probably related to graft, Trump seems hellbent on doing as much damage to the United States as possible. If the Republicans face an overwhelming loss during the midterms and they lose control of Congress, I expect Trump’s efforts to harm the United States will increase. How dare the United State fail him.

It is a pity tropical storm “Vance” won’t be able to leap the continent to land near Mar-a-lago; I would expect a huge FEMA response to be ordered to save the gold trinkets and assorted left-over classified documents lying around there.

Just pile the furniture in a corner. The storm will fuck that up and won’t even look at anything else

The reason, I think, is quite obvious. He will never forgive the country for not re-electing him in 2020. That is alll he needs to justify his punishment. What is not obvious is why so many are absolutely thrilled to accept this punishment.

I doubt whether this exchange really happened at all, but if it did, the proper response from Google was not, “because oceans span numerous countries,” but because “THE WHOLE IDEA IS AS BATSHIT CRAZY AS YOU ARE!!”

The Border Patrol at work:

If you’re wondering just how bleak things are on the immigration front, how about this: The Department of Homeland Security is about to allow Customs and Border Protection to do a little experiment with a heat ray weapon at the border, and it’s one that the military has declined to use because military commanders were afraid it would be seen as a torture device.

…

The heat ray, which is actually called the Active Denial System, fires an energy beam that creates a sensation described as being hit by scalding water as the energy beam penetrates through the top layer of your skin. The idea is that it’s so immediately and deeply painful that you’ll do anything to get away from it.

CNN is reporting that the Pentagon has signed off on letting DHS use it, while also washing its hands of it. The memo the network saw states that the heat ray “shall not be operated by DoW (Department of War) personnel” and DHS is responsible for “system employment, use and development of tactics, techniques and procedures.”

This wasn’t Monty, but one of the quoted articles. It just isn’t factual. He’s not good at diplomacy; he had no prior experience in diplomacy. By now, though, he has a lot of experience in it. His experience level isn’t why he’s a terrible person for the job.

Maybe silly question, but, does this 2020s style heat ray actually damage the person being hit, or does it just make you feel like you’re being burned?

If operated and maintained properly, it shouldn’t.

But let’s say I have my doubts about how properly they will operate or maintain anything more complex than a stick.

Actually, I’m not sure they’d use a stick properly, either

I mentioned that above and called it a death ray.

Hey, Mister Kotter! Mister Kotter! I know why he’s a terrible person for the job. He’s a terrible person for any job. That’s because, like the rest of the convict’s crew, he’s a terrible person.

If it makes you feel like you’re being burned, believe you’re being burned, then that’s psychological torture.

Did I ask if it was torture? No, I asked if it damaged human bodies. A completely different question.

I’ve read that it purportedly feels like making contact with a hot incandescent light bulb.
That’s not nice.

I think that the Death Ray Active Denial System heats the deeper layers of your skin to 130F ~ 54°C, a temperature which is enough to cause a second-degree burn in about 30 seconds and a third-degree burn in approximately 15 seconds. How long do you think the highly trained goons of Borderline p’Troll will keep that ray pointed at somebody without interruption? Do you think they will only use one at a time? Or will they make sure it really works by employing redundancy? Will they point at your body, or your eyes, or your genitalia? I doubt the results are the same.
In other words: even if this weapon is harmless when employed correctly: would you trust them to?

They’re certainly not going to do anything nice with it. I’m imagining a young boy, a magnifying glass, a fly and a sunny day.

My theory is that FEMA is akin to a cookie jar and Trump has raided it enough times now that they cannot even pretend to be able to do their jobs correctly because he has all of their money.

As an aside, I wonder how many people are now onboard with the idea that Trump has rapidly progressing dementia? It wasn’t that long ago that Trump would show some sign of this and it would be dismissed (not by you, @ThelmaLou and not calling out anyone in particular) as “he’s just old”. There are clearly some major issues going on with Trump and I think he’s beyond sane-washing now.

I wonder if Rubio got so sick of hearing trump’s constant whining about Greenland, like a toddler who had to have someone else’s toy, he finally said “it’s okay sir, NATO just gave us Greenland”.

That reporter wrote a story about his trump encounter:

Ugh.

I guess he never heard of the resounding endorsement RFK’s family gave him.
