Nuttin’ like gettin’ a good buzz on and skewerin’ stuff eh Rebo!
I have napped plus cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen and dusted my bedroom. I should dust the livin’ room, guest bedroom and study but I’m not. I’ll do that plus vacuum and mop tomorrow. Gotta save up some excitement right?
It’s been a rainy/stormy afternoon and promises to maybe be that for a while this evenin’. Woohoo.
Shee-it, rebo, it’s June and I’m still waiting for freakin’ spring to arrive.
We had a ‘teaser’ day yesterday, but today we’re back to cool and rainy. I’m sick, so very sick of this crap weather.
It seems although we took a tiny step forward with the dog yesterday, we’ve taken two steps back today. Yesteray, we got him to eat few bites of some of his treats, and he actually lapped a little water from his bowl. Not huge, but still it something. Plus, he just seemed perkier and his tail was wagging a whole lot more.
Today, it’s all I can do to get him to get up to go outside. Then, after he’s peed, just stands there and stares at me and I have to coax him back in the house. I had some pureed IAMs food, that I’d been rubbing along the back of his gum lines and he seemed to swallow some of that. But, he won’t eat on his own, at all. His head is back down, and he’s barely wagged is tail at all today.
I guess the little teensy bit of progress we had yesterday gave me more hope than I realized, because today I’m feeling very, very let down.
I’ve got two more days of pain meds and antibiotics. He took his last anti-nausea pill this morning and I gave him the last of his IV drip stuff late this morning.
I think I’m going to finish out his meds. If there’s no improvement, well, that’s that. I can’t do anymore. I can’t watch him like this. It’s tearing me apart.
At the last SpazFamily Gathering, Oldest Sister brought a dish of Preacher-Stealing Nanner Puddin’. I’m going to get the recipe from her and I’ll provide it here with the story behind the name.
I’m well on my way to losing my voice. The A Talk with Army Boy had A Good Result and it looks like thunderboomers on on the way. I’m also listening to Arlo Guthrie. Three goods and a bad!
Another compliment from last night I forgot about until I was at the sto’ this morning: Detailed AGM called me a dill pickle. I asked him if I was a Claussen or a Mt. Olive and he said Mt. Olive.
Nice weekend. Spent some quality time with the nephew this morning. Went to the park with him and walked and admired everything from flowers to frogs.
Babysitting last night was fun, too. We had pizza and the boys played and watched movies while I hung out with the goddaughter.
Spent the evening relaxing and doing laundry (who knew you could do both at the same time). Also went for a walk because it was absolutely gorgeous out. Mid-seventies, mostly sunny, not humid; just lovely.
Am in the midst of cleaning out my closet. Also big fun.
Time for night-night, though.
See everyone in the next MMP. (Who’s getting us started?)
