The Unofficial Start of Summer MMP

Up, caffeinated (partly) and at work already. At least it’s hump day!

{{{{{{{TatersFamily}}}}}}} you’re in my thoughts and prayers. My cousin has had to surrender one of her kitties to the humane society (very long story; suffice to say that cousin and hubby have gone way beyond the extra mile for this kittie) - she is very upset about it because there is little chance the kitty will get placed. :frowning:

On a better note, I love the pimp daddy pic of … is that ShinyCat’s kitteh?! It does look like he’s winking! LOL!!

Happy Wednesday all.

Blurf. :grumble:

I’m still on a slow burn this morning. Loki was doing his absolute best to suck up to me this morning, and he was resoundingly snubbed. Snubbing will continue for quite a while.

Mornin’.

Came home last night to poop everywhere!!! Ugh. At least five spots, and I had to wash Blaze. He has long hair, and he had liquid shit all over his butt, and he’d dragged it all over the house. I took him out in the middle of the night, twice. I hope he’s done. He refuses to go outside for anyone but me.

Then Mr Rebo came home in a foul mood and we argued all evening. I really tried to ignore him, but he just would.not.stop.

I’m glad I can come to work and get some peace and quiet.

Sorry about the dogs fighting, VBob.

Taters - as much trouble as animals can be, I can’t imagine losing one. I hope your baby is gonna be ok.

SpazKitty is famous! Woo-hoo!

I want a steam mop. Do they really work well? What brand?

Blurf.

Rebo mine’s a Sharp and it works great. I have a fairly large area I mop, the livin’ room and kitchen and I like the job it does. I also like the job it does in the bathrooms. Plus it dries quick!

I have been invitated to lunch. WOOHOO!

Boy, dog issues all over. I hope you can get rid of at least a few of the dogs, VBob. I hope Blaze gets better soon, Rebo. And I hope the outcome’s not as bad as you fear, Taters.

I have no pressing work projects today and after a busy day yesterday and with 3 hours of meetings today, I’m feeling very little motivation right now. I think I’m going to be on the Dope quite a bit today.

Right now, I’m of the mind to get rid of all of them.

Hi! :: waves ::

SCHOOL’S OUT!!! Later today anyway, but I’m blowing this joint in about an hour.

Got back late Monday from a fun weekend in Little Rock, visiting the Kid, her fiance and the future in-laws. Nice people, a little serious, but very cool despite that. Most importantly, they raised a good kid, or I wouldn’t let have let him haul the Kid all the way down there.

Ok, off to do what little work I feel inspired to do today before declaring it Summer.

Taters, good thoughts for your doggie.

The advantages of them are that the floors dry quickly so less chance of little (or big) footprints turning up in your freshly cleaned floor. Dried stuff comes up easily. And of course the disinfecting aspect which is good if you come home to find poop all over the floor. For tile floors is does clean the grout better than mopping which just leaves dirty water in the grout.

Disadvantages: little important pieces that fall off and make the machine useless.

I have a Shark, it’s probably the cheaper brand but I don’t think they are the best. I just really wanted a steam mop and it was on sale, so I bought it. I had a shark handheld steamer that stopped working after a year which really bummed me out and if I get another one it won’t be a shark.

Somebody tell me a joke; I want to have something to laugh about today.

I killded the MMP!

I was just about to resuscitate it, but my daughter called and distracted me.

Best wishes for the resolution to all doggeh issues. And no, BBBobbio, I don’t want any. Three per household is the limit - I think that’s a law or something.

Home. Tired. Still coughing, tho not as much. I took some generic Nyquil last night and slept like I was dead right till my alarm went off. I swear, I could have slept 3 or 4 more hours! But I got up and went to the office because I’m all professional and stuff.

We did a command photo today. The photographer was up in a man-lift thingie and all of us were standing in the street in front of the F/A-18 outside our bldg. I was in a similar photo taken from the roof of the old building in 1998. I’m trying to find out how many from that photo are in the latest version. We’ve had a lot of folks come and go over the years.

Haven’t heard from **FCD **yet, so I don’t know when/if he’ll be home tonight. Daughter wants Messican food, so we’ll probably go to Salsa’s for supper. Which works for me - I like their shrimp and rice. yum. And no dishes to do!

That’s life here. Thrill a minute. Oh yeah.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Ditto what moooooooom said about “Teh goggies.” Poor Mr. Anachi had to deal with a major poop incident on the part of the daughter’s 100-lb dog yesterday. The poor guy had the runs and was mortified, but, jeebus can he bestow some major man turds!

taxi, I loves peonies, too. So pretty and such a sweet smell.

Howdy, mbg!

Why is it that short weeks actually seem longer than regular ones?

Tupug

Technically she’s my parents’ cat.

Oh man, I’m sore from taijitsu yesterday. It’s a new curriculum and it’s mostly working the arms, so my shoulders and back ache. And I’m supposed to go again tonight.

I’m working on preparing for my graduation party this Saturday. It’s not going to be a very big party. So far, I know of three guests and my parents. (… I have no friends … who live near me …) I’m hoping I’m not forgetting anything. I’ve got sweets, non-sweets, drinks, music, and kittehs. And for the guy who is allergic to kittehs, the house is clean and I have benadryl. As does he, because I gave him some to keep in his car.

I’m bored. Army Boy is in class until 8:30, Roommate Andles just got back from the ABC store* and is thus not worth talking to for a bit, and it’s too thunderstormy to go for a walk, plus I can’t find the charger for my mp3 player so I can’t charge it to listen to on my walk.

I guess I can update my books on GoodReads for a while. Then I might be motivated enough to scrounge for something to eat. Probably leftovers from the barbecue on Monday. Again.

It’s KT’s birthday so we’re having spanikopita, beet salad, and chocolate mousse for dinner. I’ve got the spanikopita making down to a science, and it comes out just the way we like it - less egg, more spinach, and some roasted red peppers thrown in 'cause they’re tasty and healthy. I made it on Monday so all I have to do tonight is bake it up and it’ll be super YUM.

Now I want Greek food. Damn you.

Happy Birthday KeithT!

Spaz you could update Agony Aunt Ryl… just sayin’. Not that I’ve been jonesin’ or anything.

It came a gullywasher here! So much so it overflowed the gutters and the gutters are clean even! The back porch plants got to go outside and get some rain water which I do believe they lurved.

Mmmm, sounds like a good dinner, taxi. What recipe do you use for spanikopita? I’m always scared to make something like that and would love some tips.

Good wishes headed out to everyone with sick and fighting goggies.

Silly troubleshooting, swampy.

Spent time gardening yesterday, then went to the local concert and then for a walk.

Am about to head out into the garden again. Lots and lots to do.

Dinner is a slice of pizza and a banana-blueberry smoothie (no sugar, just bananas - 2 small, blueberries - maybe 1/2 a cup, Penzey’s Baking Spice, and milk just to cover everything). Yum.

Off to garden.

Hugs.
