Back from Leah’s House. There were 5 trucks and our trailer, and only one truck was empty. We loaded up at one place, then unloaded in 2 locations at the shelter. Luckily, it wasn’t overly hot or sunny, but it was muggy, so as soon as we got home, it was shower time. I’m much refreshed now.
**swampy **- ours is electric also. **FCD **saw a guy using on at the marina yesterday to wash the decks on his boat. He talked to the guy, did some research, and after we got dinner, we ran to Lowe’s and got the toy. It’s pretty nice - I think we did well in our purchase.
And now I think I shall assume the knit position for a while. Hope I can stay awake!!
It only took about 1 1/2 hours to clean up the branches; I was fearing it would take longer. But we worked with my neighbor (one of the big branches fell across her fence) and got everything into containers so that it can be picked up with yard waste tomorrow. Filled four trash cans and two little recycling bins.
It has just occured to me that 35 years ago today, I graduated from college. If that does not qualify me as an old fart, then nuttin’ ever will.
Now, all of you whippersnappers, git off’n muh lawn!
I will always know how long it’s been since I graduate from high school because Oldest Nephew was born two weeks later. Older Sister got married in the intervening week. The three weeks between May 22 and June 11, 1998 were very busy for the Three Weird Sisters.
Bed is re-made, two new sets of sheets washed, all my shopping goodies from yesterday put away, house is picked up, couple of bills paid, house is vacuumed. Now I will dust then…dunno find something else to do
