The Unofficial Start of Summer MMP

Round One to the Dragon

I got more paperwork to fill out and have to go back on Friday for an employability assessment

By G-d, Rosie, that was brilliant!

{{{gotti}}} Peace be with you.

Happy birthday, wet one!

Good thoughts to FCD.

doggie, ruble and metal mouse, I’m a Titans fan and we all know how well that’s turned out the past few seasons. :stuck_out_tongue:

metal mouse, if you have the opportunity to get some good chocolate in South Africa, go for it. There’s one with a blue wrapper (can’t remember the brand) with nubs in it that is to die for.

Finally got all of the bodies contacted to get month end closed out. Now I can begin to post the journals and actually do it.

PT tonight after irk then chillage.

My sweetie is in his room and his only pain is at the incision. The symptoms that prompted this surgery are gone. YAY!! All things considered, he’s in great spirits. The drugs help.

I’ll be heading home in a little bit to tend to the critters. And I can take him home early tomorrow.

It’s a good day.

how in the world did I miss this yesterday?:confused:

YAY!

Howdy Y’all! Irk has been survived. Pretty much have all the EOM stuff done so yay for that. Dindin will be steak, sallit, and cheesey garlic bread. I shall allow OYKW the privilege of grillin’ steaks. He likes to do that and besides, 'tis haw out and I don’t wanna have to stand out there.

MOOOOOOM glad FCD’s surgery went well.

Butters here’s hopin’ things went well with Mr. Butters today.

Still awaiting AC repairs. Lovely people at the office assure me that I am definitely in today’s repair queue.

Job-hunting is a major PITA.

And we are back. Record time of 8 hours. We weren’t in the Dr office 5 minutes when the Dr himself called us in. Trip down the hall hubs told Dr he feels like “shit”. BP good blood ox good. Hooked up to electrocardiograph machine in one minute. Both Dr and tech got strange looks on their face. Turns out hubs has a conduction problem aka sick sinus syndrome. Cut the dose of antiarrythmia Meds, changed blood thinner cause the one he has been on caused heartburn. Bottom line they are sending a heart monitor for him to wear for three weeks and worse case he may need a pacemaker down the road. So, The SSS IS WHAT’s making him sluggish and tired. Appt is in mid July so depending how he is I am still going on my quick trip to GA.

He had 7 a/c calls all day and as soon as he got into work clothes off he went to work. Dr didn’t seem too concerned and just said to let him know immediately if he passes out. Hoping that doesn’t happen while he is driving. I cannot stop him from doing what he loves to do which is work.

I am not worried too much. Not yet anyway.

So glad FCD is already getting relief. Rosies sig with extra hugs for GOTTI.

Home, spent, exhausted, ready to crash.

Poor Higgs - I let her out in the yard and she immediately ran to the side to see if FCD’s truck was there, which it was (but he wasn’t.) She’s sad. She’ll be happy when her daddy comes home tomorrow.

I’ve got some pasta I found in the freezer - it’s simmering for my supper. I’m too tired to cook and too hungry not to eat. I’ve brought in the dry towels that I’d hung out yesterday. Higgs has eaten, and I need to refill the kitteh kibbles after I eat.

I think I’ll be sleeping with Mel tonight, but I’ve got to make the bed first, plus strip and remake the guest room bed in case **FCD **wants to sleep in there. I think he’ll be happy anywhere that isn’t the recliner.

Very optimistic…

Glad FCD’s surgery went well.

Got two new front teeth today (well, temporary crowns anyway). Eating a late lunch with the girl child now. Then back to the house to do ?? In the 90s and climbing. Sigh.

{{{{{{{gotti}}}}}}}

[assorted REALLY colorful language] No air conditioning until tomorrow at the earliest, since a part needs to be obtained. Apparently, a connector INSIDE the unit pulled a freak failure.

NettieToo bad you’re so far away as hubs would be there in a flash. He stocks tons of parts. Sucks being hot especially at night. And good luck with the job search. You still going to school?

My best friend ever as a child. Her name was actually Nettie. brings back good memories. Wonder where she is now. She’d be an old lady like me.

Sunny good on new teeth. And the nove back north.

A very good yet simple dindin has been ingested. Steak 'n sallit is a great meal on a hawt day. I yanked some meatballs outta da freezer for tomorrow’s dindin. I envision meatballs 'n gravy with vegetative matter of some sort. Now 'tis chill time at da cave.

Butters sounds like the check up went relatively well.

Nettie here’s hopin’ you get a/c soonest tomorrow. ICK!

Poor Higgs! She needs some extra lovin’ and skritches tonight.

No, I finished my certificate program. This was my third straight-A semester out of four (got a B in one class last spring (sulk)).

Fed, showered, biding my time till I can crawl into bed with Mel…

I worked, an other shift supervisor called out with “sick kids”. Freakin’ Ebola clinics in Liberia don’t have this kind of call out rate. I’m making wasabi soy salmon with mushroom rice and Five Spice cauliflower for dinner.

Happy Birthday, WetOne!!!

“Come to Detroit, see the ruins”

My sympathies. The Packers couldn’t top that if they ran all their dry spells back to back.

Yay, FCD!

Want me to bring by bat and Sawz-All when I come up.

Yay for axe murdering me?:dubious:

Yay for new teeth, Sunny!

I hear thunder rumblin’s. We won’t be gettin’ any rain out of it as it’s in the wrong direction but it clouded over and brought a nice breeze to cool down the outside temp. Feels nice out there right now.

'Tis time to retire to the boudoir.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Busy 2day in the MMP.

FCM, glad things went well for FCD. Hope it does get rid of the pain for good. Higgs will be happy.

Butters, hope things go well with husband-unit. At least it appears to be something obvious and treatable, if he does what the Dr. says…

Nettie, stay cool, hopefully they will be there early tomorrow to fix the AC.

Sunny, enjoy the new teeth (who knocked out the old ones?)

Napped this afternoon then went out and refereed a youth soccer game at 6PM (It was down all the way to 87F). Have eaten and hydrated now, and tomorrow morning going in to the car dealer to get my oil/lube done. Expect with 60,000 miles on it that they’ll want to do a lot of other stuff, most of which I’ll approve, but we shall see.
