My grade school had frequent Abomb alerts, wiht a siren going off and all the kids filing down into the basement of the school. We also practiced the short time alert by hiding under our desks and covering our necks and eyes with our forearms. They showed movies demonstrating the horrible effects of an Abomb explosion by showing New Mexico footage and later, Hiroshima and Nagasaki films.
The scene that stuck with me was a picture of a bridge with a faint shadow of a human being. He had been vaporized. but his body blocked the heat enough for a discoloration in the shape of a his body. How cruel can we be?

I think I really only started noticing her during the Casey Anthony thread, and then stumbled on her in a myriad of other places. Honestly, it took about 2 seconds to find more treasure troves of insanity. I didn’t even know she’d been pitted before, but that’s good to know.
She’s all those things and more. She’s every woman. Every crazy woman.

Heh, this is the first time I’d seen that. Fantastic. Seriously, this is why I can’t put her on the ignore list. I’d never get the “…bwah?” moment that comes with finding out there is an adult out there who thinks it is illegal to give Pizza Hut a fake name and number.
In fact, very few of her posts read like they were written by an adult; you could easily tack “… because my mom SAYS SO!!!” onto the end of most of her sentences and it would read like something my niece might say.
She’s mouthing off in this thread about the legality of shooting stray animals. She got told by Colibi to back up her statements with cites, or GTFO (YAY, finally a mod lays some smackdown on her!). Naturally, she chose the GTFO option.
Her posting style gets more hysterical whenever she can’t back her shit.
I like her reply to Shmendrik’s circus joke:
I think “Your reply is not replying to anything” needs to become the new “My post is my cite.”
She just stated that she was quitting. What, her membership on the SDMB, or just that particular thread?
That reply was hilarious. It’s like she can’t remember a single one of her own posts outside of any given thread. I saw that in a thread on Casey Anthony, where she claims to have never proffered the theory that Caylee drowned and George covered it up…a couple of pages after she posted that it was her belief that Caylee drowned and George covered it up.
I think just that particular thread, but we can only hope for the former.
You don’t need to teach about WWII or Vietnam in school. Because your relatives who were around at the time can show you what happen. Oh, and Hitler had no impact on world history. Indeed:

But that Susananne has one big advantage on her home turf that our Susanann doesn’t have here: Her posts are one-direction statements, sweeping generalizations and flawed logic, which then get posted as-is, forever, and any responses or criticisms are limited to tiny dropdown comment boxes by anonymous users she can feel free to ignore.

The thought had crossed my mind. Their writing styles are admittedly somewhat different but the sentiments behind their message, and the perceived ability to just post and walk away are strikingly similar.
