The waiting MMP

{{{Sticky and buns fam}}}

It’s Firday night and we’re sittin’ around yawnin’ our haids off. We’re so wild! Gonna go lie upon the bed and watch teevee and <snerk> see what comes up. <snerk> Or fall asleep. Wild we are! Wild, I saay!

Sending good thoughts to you and your family, Sticky Buns.

(((Sticky & Grandpa)))

Well, yes!
BEER is at stake!
Er, that is to say, our Patient’s Well Being is our Primary Concern.

So, Jim, instead of sharks or pajama cardinals in the cement pond, I’m thinking bot fly larvae.
:slight_smile:

I will make positive waves, Sticky.
You have been through much. :frowning:

Worked, hockeyed, came home.

W00t! Has she friended these guys on Facebook yet?

It’s on backwards. :wink:

Sari, doe that mean you are qualified to perform a dumbectomy on Gordie?

Keeping a chin up for your grandpa {{sticky}}. Hope he turns out OK.

Dindin tonight was heavenly fodder from Chicago’s very own newly opened Eataly 18 month aged prosciutto, three strong cheeses, the thinnest flatbread ever, topped with tiny dollops of creamed cinnamon and hazelnut honey, or a sweet balsamic reduction, and two varieties of grapes on the side. It was very much worth the trip. The honey came from the Christkindlmarket. Nomnomnomnom. It was a busy day.

Stoopit circadian rhythm! I was awake at 5, even tho Higgs was quiet… at least she was till 5:45. But I’m up, the dishwasher is running, and in a while, I’ll start the laundry and finish the squid.

We plan to have the car packed tonight with just about everything we’ll need, so tomorrow, we can be up, dressed, and outta here fast. I’m hoping we made the right choice of traveling on Sunday. I figure the majority of those headed thither and yon for Christmas probably hit the road on Firday or today. We shall see.

I’ve got a couple of crochet projects that’ll go with me on the ride - just gotta remember to pack the assorted supplies and patterns. And I need to water my houseplants before we go, and ensure the cats’ feeder is full, and the water reservoir is full, and the closet doors are closed, and to leave a check for the critter sitter… <headdesk> So much to remember!!!

Happy Saturday. Bah humbug - I’ll be glad when I’m back here next week.

Happy Solstice everybody! (And a Festivus to the Restofus!)

{{{Sticky & Grandpa Sticky}}}

Off to another day at the irk mines.

{{Sticky & family}}

Alas, I am also off to work today, and I really don’twanna. It’s football, and a ‘class A’ match. This does not mean it’s likely to be a good game, the letter represents the likelihood of Trouble- with A being the highest rating… I’ve not been at anything above a ‘C’ before, so I’m waiting with interest.

I think I’ll be at the bar for the seated area- aka the bit with the lowest chance of a fight, and there will be a lot of police around, so hopefully it won’t all go too crazy. Happy solstice all!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 66 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 83 for the day. Tomorrow and Monday are supposed to be stormy times. We shall see.

MOOOOOOM I know the real reason why you’re so methodically plannin’ your travel time. You are hopin’ that the Stuckey’s won’t be so crowded when you stop to stock up on pee-kahn logs. :stuck_out_tongue: Also, a phrase like “I’ll start the laundry and finish the squid” could be so very disturbin’ if’n I didn’t know what you’re talkin’ about.

Now I need more caffiene and should consider sustenance for rumbly tummy. I need to do some yahd irk, as in rake leaves, however, that remains to be seen.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

I has a blurf

Happy Winter Solstice Day!

and is today the day that belongs to Loki?

I used to have a dog named Loki.

So it’s a bright 55 degrees today with a projected high of 63!
Enjoy it while it lasts!

People came to fix the dishwasher yesterday but needed a part so it won’t be fixed until sometime next week. Doesn’t much matter to me as I don’t use the dishwasher, however until it gets fixed there is no hot water in the kitchen. I’ll have to boil some water to wash my dishes.
On a good note though, my mother found out mice were coming in from behind the dishwasher so that hole got plugged up. Between that and the poison being eaten I hope this will be the end of the mice.

Doggio I *could * remove the dumb but think about it very carefully - do you really want a SMART Jack Russell?

{{{Sticky and granddad}}}

I could go to a Christmas party today, I haven’t decided yet. If I didn’t have to drive to PA for it, I don’t know I’ll decide soon.

Up and caffeinated. Off to the Laundromat soon. my friend bought me a fake “Elf on the Shelf.”:smiley:

FCM, after you finsih the squid, are you gonna get the goat?

sari, good point. :eek:

Mawnin all and happy Caturday

Tis showday and I am excited. I just checked the weather and the rain shall abate before showtime and as we are playing outdoors this is a good thing. Temps are going to be about 60f/19c, it is the winter solstice so I will probably wear shorts. I will post pics/video of me and my Pearl asap.

Have much to do

Cheers all

Jim

No goats, doggio. Next project will probably have to do with the camper.

We got breakfast, then went to the car wash to get the Sonata de-scuzzed. Jeans are in the washer, and I’m about to start pinning the squid head to the squid body. With luck, I’ll post a pic in a few hours.

Temps in the 60s already - almost not quite warm enough to open the house. We have the window in the stairwell open, just to de-stink the cat box area. We’ll see if it gets warm enough to open a few more windows.

That could be dangerous! :slight_smile:

50 here and raining, going to be 67 and raining.
45 tonight, and raining.

Oh my lords. I went to local comedian Sugar Sammy’s bilingual (“franglais”) show last night, and it was HILARIOUS!! :smiley: I was having a bad day, and that show made it so much better! So much fun! :smiley:

I met him after the show and I got his autograph and got a picture with him. I told him that he’d made my day better, and that I work in Cote-des-Neiges, where he’s from. He said he used to play ball hockey where I work. Yay :slight_smile:

Hooray for comedy! :smiley:

Hooray for comedy, indeed! :smiley:
