The Walking Dead; 3.02 "Sick" (open spoilers)

Please tell me somebody else besides me yelled “LEEEROY JENNNKINS!!!” when those prisoners rushed the zombies.

Didn’t Lori wind up Shane and point him at Rick? She set Rick up to be murdered, and it was only because Rick saw it coming that he’s alive and Shane isn’t. I’d hold a grudge.

I thought she tried to talk Rick into killing Shayne; that’s why it seemed weird to Rick that she was so angry when he had to.

Where is this deleted scene from season two that shows the Nursing home gang getting wiped out?

It’s on the season two DVD set.

Note: we only see the aftermath, not the actual battle. It’s possible some of the nursing home residents escaped…

And on Youtube obviously:

Push You Down: “Foghorn Methhorn” made me nearly choke on my morning at-work snack. I actually liked Foghorn Methhorn, he seemed like someone I’d enjoy sitting around a campfire passing a doobie with.

She didn’t just do that, she played them off each other.

Near the end of Season 2, she talks to Shane and clearly winds him up. I don’t think she said anything as explicit as “if you kill Rick, we can be together,” but I remember thinking that she’d have to be an idiot not to realize that what she said would coax Shane into trying to kill Rick.

From her past behavior, she may well be an idiot, but I got the impression that she was sick of the fighting between Rick and Shane and wanted it to stop, one way or another. I think she originally wanted Rick to kill Shane, but when he looked like he wasn’t going to, she wound Shane up, either to force Rick’s hand, or because she no longer cared which one of them survived as long as the other was dead.

So yeah, I’d be pissed too, though I’m not sure how Rick could know that Lori provoked Shane. It might just be how she reacted to Rick telling her that he killed Shane, or something that happened during the season gap.

I think she is using them as pack mules. When she is on the move, they carry all of her gear except the sword-thingey

Look at this promo video.

My totally WA guess is that that character turns out to be a seriously evil baddie. Like a serial killer or something.

Re: Michonne’s zombies - They have no arms and lower jaws so they are not a threat to her. Without arms and lower jaws, the risk that they could actually inflect any damage to her is minimal. Plus, it just looks damn creepy!

Yeah, I used that site to jog my memory about all the season 1 people. It also has a really good timeline of the show, which is pretty interesting, but made me realize how unrealistic (in my mind) the pacing of the show is. For instance, only 3 days pass between Rick waking up in the hospital and them making it to the CDC. And from him waking up to the end of season 2 is only about 3 weeks. It also reveals that Shane is almost certainly the father of her child: Glenn gets her the pregnancy test only 7 or 8 days after she and Rick have sex, which is barely enough time for implantation to occur (and for a home pregnancy test to come up positive). I assume this is why Rick is so mad at Lori: over the past few months he finally had some down time where he did the math and said “wait a minute…”

Can you spoiler your hypothesis?

Why spoiler speculation? T-Dog isn’t from the comics. If I hypothesize that T-Dog is going to take Rick’s spot and make the women his harem, or that he’s going to knock up Glen’s GF and Glen will off both of them, there’s no need for a spoiler.

If Joss Whedon ever directs an episode…

Actually, Joss would probably kill Daryl.

T-Dog may be based on a similar character from the comics who doesn’t look like he’s going to make an appearance at this point. Therefore speculation based on this possible link could qualify as a spoiler from the comics.

On the Talking Dead, they’ve confirmed T-Dog’s not the ex-football player. The only similarity between the two is that they are black.

Fair enough. I knew they weren’t the same person, but I thought they might be using T-Dog to fulfill some of Tyresse’s arc.

Though as others have pointed out, they’re really not using T-Dog for much of anything at all.

Because he doesn’t seem very keen on posting it, and I’m offering him a polite way to do so in case other people might not want to read the hypothesis?

I’m thinking T-Dog may be a stand-in for Tyreese, who in the books was beheaded (with Michonne’s katana) by the Governor).
