And you have also seen him with the crossbow doing a room to room. My only point was to say that seems less than optimal.
Not to mention it’s a one-off in close quarters. We rarely see him cock it, and that would be impossible in a crowded situation.
I thought that was a bit ridiculous, as well.
Perhaps it takes up screen time they would like to use for something else.
Could be a chance for Glen to do something, too.
Having a bunch of live walkers around the fence might discourage other survivors from trying to enter the prison, possibly.
Yeah, it may have been a plot device to get Carol alone for her solo shots. But I agree, that Glenn should have just done the rest of the walkers then and there. I was thinking the same thing last week when Rick was walking the perimeter and ignoring the few walkers on the other side. Maybe he was tired and worn out, but otherwise, a quick brain stab on each would hardly be a bad thing, would it?
While I don’t think Mrs. Plant v.3.0 would become bored with killing walkers, some folks may feel that killing a lot of walkers would detract from scenes of killing others. Maybe it is a rating thing, perhaps writers are limited to how many deaths they can show, or a limit on the number of violent scenes.
Oh, people were speculating on who was watching Carol practicing surgery. In hindsight I have no clue, but during the scene my immediate and strong rection was that it had t be Michone. Still leaning that way, but not nearly as convinced as while I was watching.
He was testing the fence, seeing if they could through anywhere. He didn’t want to kill them.
My WAG is that it’s somebody from Woodbury, but it could also have been Michone. If it’s the latter obviously Andrea wasn’t with her; or else she’d have approached Carol.
WARNING: Spoiler contains references to the story line in the comic books but not actual events/outcomes:
I’m assuming it is the hunters from the comic book and they’ll tie in Hershel in lieu of Dale since Dale is now dead on the t.v. show.
Then again, the hunters story line in the comic may not be a storyline they want to show considering they have two story lines already.
I think the watcher is Daryl’s brother Meryl. That should kick up the dynamics a bit.
I agree that they should leave some walkers cruising the fences to keep other survivors away. It would just make too tempting a target.
Why in the world was Glen on the walker cleaning out mission anyway? He is surely their most valuable asset and definitely shouldn’t be putting his life in any unnecessary risk situations. That was just plain stupid on Rick’s part, not that he’s had any shortage of those.
How in the world is Glen their most valuable asset?
Edit: I think you may mean Hershel, the veterinarian. Glen is the asian guy.
Sorry, you’re right. I knew that. Blaming it on a faulty keyboard.
Someone else mentioned the way Hershel was acting when he took Ricks hand…I was just waiting on the edge of my seat for him to turn…I just wasn’t sure if it was just the pain of his leg or maybe he was turning. He never developed a fever…any comments on that?
It was pretty clearly a “thank you for saving my life” moment.
You might like to know that there is an actual Woodbury, GA near where The Walking Dead is being filmed. The “Woodbury” scenes in TWD were shot in Senoia, GA in Coweta County, which is next door to Meriwether County where the town of Woodbury is located.
Do they not have running water in the prison? Surely they do and if so, why oh why do they not wash themselves? I know it would drive me bananas to be covered in dried zombie blood if I didn’t have to.
Society has collapsed entirely. There’s no infrastructure. Where would running water come from?
