The Walking Dead; 3.04 "Killer Within" (open spoilers)

Please zombie Jesus, no immunity baby.

In the same episode where someone we also thought was previously dead turned out not to be…

I must have missed it, but in what way was it indicated that Andrew was psychotic like Tomas was?

Didn’t Andrew intentionally get Big Tiny cornered by zombies?

no, Big Tiny backed away from all the crazy zombie killing by the other prisoners and went stupidly into an uncharted area. Maybe he was against violence.

Big Tiny got bitten by walkers behind him because he was trying to sneak off from fighting the ones the rest of the group were attacking in front of him.

As for Andrew, he didn’t seem psychotic like Tomas did, but he appeared to be his lieutenant and attacking Rick after he killed Tomas in self defense was pretty stupid and thuggish. At that point, it was pretty obvious he couldn’t be trusted.

I don’t even remember Andrew attacking the group after Tomas bit it either. I’m sure I could have missed it enjoying the awesomness of a hand axe to the skull, but it seemed like Andrew wasn’t explored much at all.

Yeah, he definitely took a swing at Rick right after Rick chopped Tomas, and Rick chased him for a while until they ended up in the courtyard full of walkers.

I just have to add that to me the most annoying thing about Carl is his name. “Carl” is a name for a guy in his 60s, not a pre-teen kid.

One of the other prisoners said something along the lines of “we’ve done bad things but we’re not psychos like Andrew and Tomas.”

Lori may be undead, but there’s no chance she’s still alive.

True, and the only way they’d even have a clue if the baby is immune is if it were do die and not reanimate.

That’s the only way I’d find the immunity baby palatable – if they discovered that he had been immune because he didn’t come back as a zombie. Hopes raised and simultaneously dashed.

At times I think the most unrealistic thing with this show is a boy that age named ‘Carl’, not the animated corpses.

Agreed. I’d send it packing with a week’s worth of formula.

Did anyone else notice how silly Daryl looked sneaking up behind NBC* in the electrical room? I was reminded of Barney Fife demonstrating his Jiu Jitsu skills.

Not only was Zombinfant cleaned up right quick, but it got larger before our eyes. My trained eye estimated that neonate at north of 20 lbs., give or take.

I’ll say one thing about this show; it ain’t afraid to kill off its characters.
mmm

*New Black Character

On another note, New Black Guy (NBC, thank you Mean Mr. Mustard) made a conscious choice when he picked Rick over Andrew.

RBG-Replacement Black Guy.

You could at least have given me a shout-out! :stuck_out_tongue:

[80’s comic]Ever notice how White loner Amazon warriors in the Zombie apocalypse are all like :glare: but Black lone Amazon warriors in the Zombie apocalypse are all like :that’s right, I’m glaring at you, fool:[/80’s comic]

Do folks named Carl start out with another name and change it when they are old enough?

Carl was born circa 2000 in this continuity. According to ssa.org, there were 988 boys born with that name in 2000. On the other hand, Darryl is 32 according to the Walking Dead wiki, and there were only 848 boys born with his name in 1980.

Ascenray, you inspired me.

A very good friend of mine (in his 40’s) was born a ‘Carl’, but has gone by his middle name for the 30 or so years I’ve known him.

Hard to believe the Darryl stat; I’ve known several Darryl’s of various spellings.
