The Walking Dead; 4.05 "Internment" (open spoilers)

Oh, thank goodness they had a giant bucket of guns and ammo on hand just in case both fences were breeched! I mean since those prison fences appear to be about as strong as a chicken wire garden enclosure.

Although it makes me sad that my dad and I will probably never get to bond over machine-gunning a hundred zombies.

So basically the Daryl show.

Did they ever reveal who was feeding the Zombies rats to keep them weakening the fence? It seemed at the time it was someone who was trying to sabotage from within.

We don’t know yet who was doing that, or why. There was some speculation it might be the girl, Lizzie, who was naming the zombies, but no solid evidence has pointed to anyone.

I like her, too. And for anyone who thinks she’s crazy because she was naming the walkers, don’t forget that Hershel and his group at the farm were keeping a whole barn full of walkers and feeding them live chickens.

The only moment I liked was during the shooting gallery scene when Rick glanced over at Carl and realized “Holy shit, Carl’s better at this than I am!”
The rest of it was just one bit of dumbassery after another.

“Son, have you ever considered a career in Law Enforcement?”

For a moment I was afraid an undead Carol would show up in the crowd.

I love how they wait until the crowd of zombies breached both fence lines before they simply killed them all.

With guns and ammo they had all along.

Priceless.

More angst for Rick.

The logs came from the dismantled pig pens–we see Rick taking them apart in the episode.

The guns outside was incredibly dumb, but I kind of get why ‘shooting gallery’ is a last resort for them. Ammo and guns are precious and noisy. It still doesn’t forgive why they never bothered to find a better way to thinning the fence zombies out.

The episode was pretty exciting. I was a bit worried about Glenn. He looked like he was just about to expire! Pretty intense scene!

Flame throwers.

Flaming zombies.

fabulous!

Heck, every time they go out, they should be picking up more vehicles. Just park a line of cars along the outer fence to brace it. These people is dumb.

A.K.A. Walking pillars of flame setting everything ablaze…

Bad idea

Cool looking, definitely, but highly impractical

I’m listening.

I wonder if it was the Governor, luring more walkers to the fence.

I noticed that, too - it looked like Rick was realizing that no matter what he wanted for Carl, Carl is a force to be reckoned with in the Zombie Apocalypse, and he needs to deal with it.

Yeah. They is.

The young blonde girl is messed-up - her sticking her foot in Glenn’s vomited mucous was quite disturbing - who does that?!?

If they got them against the fence, it would be contained.
However, Everything Always Goes Wrong on this show.

Hasn’t (or shouldn’t) the “protect the children” thing pretty much run its course by now? Hershel hesitates to put a zombie down because the kids are watching? Get over it, old man. The kids will.

I though Herschel was taking the dead sick people off to the back room to gack them because it would be too upsetting for the other sick people to see their soon-to-be future. There sure was a lot of stupid in the quarantined area of the jail, though. They even mentioned everyone closing their cell doors, and people were still turning and infecting other people. Gah.

“Look I know you’re sick and need rest, but just help me lift this corpse onto the gurney and roll it into another room because a quick stab would JUST BE SOOO TRAUMATIC!”
