And the scene in the pantry/store. Jaysus.
Fat dude: “I don’t wanna watch my family starve!”
Uh, none of the Alexandrians are going to starve anytime soon. And how long has it been, anyway? Two days?

Let’s check the house where hair cut lady whacked a zombie, ok?
Last season Deanna was strong, decisive, smart and a good leader. She had a different point of view than Rick because she had a different experience but she was every bit his equal. This season she is a helpless idiot for no other reason than the show’s POV is Rick is the Best. I hate that.
That was totally amazing how the writers sprung the idea of Walkers in the sewer on us. I never expected that, and I can absolutely see how Maggie and Aaron would never have suspected it, either! :roll eyes:
This was mostly a snoozer. Hoping things pick up next week…
At least they did not split up to find the exit.
:dubious:
Had to vote “Meh” this time, even though I hate that word.
This was one of those transitional/setup episodes, also called wastes of time.
They are running a gimmick where people are tuning in looking for Glenn, and so far the ratings ploy has worked.
With such a huge following, Daryl and Carol need to be in more episodes, and there should be less screen time on background characters. There are waaay to many characters right now, and I would like it more focused like in earlier seasons.
I have a feeling pregnant Maggie will die, and Glenn will survive.
If Maggie bonds with whathisname - Glenn will survive and catch them ‘together’ at some point.
If Maggie doesn’t bond with whathisname and keeps holding out hope, she will find GlennZombie at an inopportune moment.
When they put Glenn on the wall - I said “Glenn’s alive” - like undying love, once a main char is pronounced dead officially (without a body)- they always aren’t. (exception to anything Whedon is part of).
When Maggie broke down at the sewer exit and then started taking name off memorial wall - well - it’s schrodinger’s glenn.
What the heck was the deal with the lingering shot at the end of the blood oozing down the wall?
The wall which, I feel I should point out, they suddenly decided would be a great idea to brace from the inside in some areas…
I don’t follow.
“Whathisname” (Aaron) is gay.
I assumed it was Walkers getting crushed against it. Sort of like fresh squeezed orange juice, only different.
Yes, and his boyfriend, Eric, is still alive. If Eric was killed off, though, I could see Aaron and Maggie forming a close relationship - platonic - in their mutual grief. He could be the step-dad and protector of his new little family. That would be an interesting turn of events. Don’t know how it would pan out long-term, though.
On rewatch, I noticed that she dropped the knife due to her surprise. Also when she was trying to ward off sewer walker, the body was so decayed that her hands just kept “squishing” through his flesh so she couldn’t get a grip to push him away.
Was that the only zombie in the house? They left the door open.
they can still bond - point is/was its the trope - if Maggie “moves on”, Glenn will be alive - if she doesn’t - he’s dead until she does (assuming we never see the body)
I still believe that the writers think it would be “so cool” if Maggie has to take on Zombie Glenn. :dubious:
No reason to think another one is in there. But I think this is an example of the show being either (a) a little too clever by assuming that viewers would “get” the story of why the woman (Betsey) was dead/zombie, or maybe (b) the scenes that would have set this up wound up on the cutting room floor.
The zombie housewife is Betsey, who (it seems) committed suicide after her husband (David) was killed during the attempt to return to Alexandria. So she slit her wrists, setting up her eventual reawakening as a zombie housewife. So, no reason to think anyone else was in the house.
The effects in that scene were pretty amazing. She is trying to push the walker back, but you actually see her hand come out of the back of the walker’s body. It just squished right through.
Voted “Meh.”
I was actually bored on this one, which is pretty rare. In setup or filler episodes, there’s usually something maintaining a minimum of interest, but on this one, my eyes glazed over and I started surfing the web on my phone at points.
Heh. It’d be even cooler if it was little tubes of rotten flesh pushing through, like a Play-Doh Fun Factory.
