The Weather Forecast MMP

Oh my goodness, those schnoodles are adorable! never thought I’d like small dogs, but then my mom got one, and my in-laws all have them since it’s too hot to have a dog that can’t be indoors most of the time. And I am liking them more; which is good, since we’ll have one of our own in a week or two

Our ‘storm’ was anticlimactic; some schools lost power, and we got just enough moisture to settle the dust in the air. All over within an hour, fooie.

Just found some video of some dolphins we spotted while returning from fishing back in June.

Saw these halfway up the Chesapeake Bay, where they are not normally found.

Long day. Beer O’clock!

Vacation: Sunday through Tuesday, my friends and I pub crawled up and down Duval Street in Key West. I think we drank half the 151 on the island. Wednesday, we drove up to Ft. Lauderdale, for the “official” pub crawl. Thursday was a tad hazy. Saturday’s highlight was the speaker: Phil PritchardKeeper of the Stanley Cup. He and his partner even delivered my inflatable Stanley Cup to my L.A. Kings Peeps, so they could celebrate their win in style. I still have some liver left in my cirrhosis.

Sticks awesome snoodle pix!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 91 and "wide spread afternoon and evenin’ thunderstorms" whatever that means.

StickyBuns cool skirt and keeeyoooote schnoodle pics.

That’s what happens in Chez Bathroom. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. Today I shall go to the north forty thus probably ensurin’ wide spread plague, pestilence and doom. That seems to happen when I go there especially.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Blurf. Thanks to * The Godfather* I know what it means if you wake up with a horsehead at your feet, but what does it mean if you wake up & find a large, dead cicada there? (I was on the air mattress outside on the deck)

Blurf.

It’s pretty. Please have someone take a pic of you wearing it when it’s done.

The goggies are adorable - the white one looks like he(she?)'s been sneaking some chocolate pudding

I realize this will generate a lot of squick outs, tough tuna. If anyone followed along on the story of the intrigue involved in getting Paul Ryan to Nawfick Saturday for the announcement, he was flown to Betsytown to spend the night, and every place mentioned in the story (Fairfield Inn, Applebee’s, Farm Fresh grocery store, etc.) is/was a place VWife and I are very familiar with.

For that matter, so is Nauticus and the USS Missouri, where the announcement happened.

no squick, just disgust and mild apathy

And that’s why you’re my favorite hippy-dippy librul girl… :goose:

Good morning!! It’s overcast and cool-ish but still too humid out. I decided I wanted a WaWa breakfast, so I drove down the road. I’m thinking today will be a good day to start some serious pre-in-law cleaning. Not my favorite thing to do, but if I do a room a day, it won’t be too overwhelming. They get here a week from today.

Sometime today, I’m expecting official confirmation that I’ll be working after we get back from vacation - my start date would be Sep 5. **FCD **feels like all the mucky mucks are on board but he’s trying to get them to make it official so he can have a computer readied for me. Last night, I was looking at samples of the sorts of drafting I’ll be doing - very simple, very boring, and very very much to be done. I’m good with the simple and boring - you can pay me to do simple and boring all day long!

OK, totally worthless comment, but I just looked at BBBobbio’s post count for post #68 above, ad it reads 12,345. Right up there with noticing when the odometer in my car hits interesting sequences. Just ignore me - that’s just one of my endearing quirks. :stuck_out_tongue: Of course, while I was previewing this post, he had to post again…

So beginneth my day. Happy Tuesday!!!

So he stayed at a Fairfield Inn, ate at Applebee’s and stopped for a Diet Coke and Twinikies at the grocery store? You’d think a vice-presidential candidate would get a little classier treatment than that.

Off to the north forty.

Zip ties, gaffers tape and crazy glue does the job.
If you needed glue, you didn’t use enough duct tape or zip ties.

Mowed the grass and picked mushrooms last evening. Usuall, ‘picking mushrooms’ is a euphemism for scooping poop, but last night, it was literally picking mushrooms as some monster morels popped up seemingly overnight. Two of them were bigger than my fist, and probably good and poisonous, so off they went to the trash can.

Cooking is fun, and I’ve a list of people I don’t play well with…

It’s official - I’ll be starting work on Sep 5 as a draftsman with occasional mechanical engineering duties. So much for sleeping in and spending my days in grubbies. I’ll have to go to the office some time this week to do some paperwork and I should probably go thru my closet to make sure I have enough non-grubbies to wear. I think I’ll be OK, since it’s a pretty casual organization and I won’t be dealing with customers anyway.

So 3 weeks from tomorrow, I cease being a bum and a burden on society. Go me!!

Guess you can keep the sailboat now.

Congrats!

Yeah, Bubba Schnoodle!

Good morning all - the forecast here in NM is pretty much the same right now: HOT! LOL Seriously, though, it’s been in the 90s and looks to stay that way. We have gotten the occasional shower/thunderstorm in the afternoon or evening, but not so much.

Congrat, FCM on getting that job, sounds like it’s good all around.

Hope everyone is doing okay - I enjoyed my weekend of viewing Perry Mason on Hallmark movie channel, btw. LOL I am glad that the Olympics is over - I didn’t even watch much this time. I will watch the Winter games though.

Hope everyone enjoys their Tuesday (or Wednesday, depending on where you are in the world!).

So, last night, I finished a crossover fanfic, but . . . I didn’t post it.

Why?

Because my superego won out, and I am going to let it sit a day, do a final polish, and then post it.

Am I growing up?

Thanks! Not only can we keep it - we can probably afford to pay someone else to do the crappy jobs we don’t want to do, so yay for that! I have to say, it was great having the yard crew clean and paint the bottom this year - totally worth the extra cost over doing it ourselves. Sometimes the best tool for the job is the checkbook, as I often say.

Actually, the biggie on my “want” list is new countertops in the kitchen. We made your basic laminate counters, but I really want one of the stone/composite types, and I want to get rid of the sink - I so regret getting it - it chips and stains so easily! Once I see how much I’ll be making, I can start to budget and shop for what I want. Yay!
