The Weather Forecast MMP

Swampy, did you have anything to do with this? :dubious:

Heck I’m still curious about how this incident will play out. But I don’t think Swampy has anything to do with it, unless you figure it happened near a swamp…

flytrap while I respect the right to do so, I do not ever have any intentions of jumpin’ out of a plane. Also, maybe it’s just me, but why would that even occur near or around a “secure base.” You’d think there’d be a rule about where such things are located. As to the man on the tarmac, well what can I say gigity. It is a security system designed by Raytheon.

I’ve been on a conference call. Major yawnage (is too a word!) ensued. I did, however win three straight games of spider solitaire with a double deck even. Go Me! What? That was at least as productive as the conference call.

Back from talking to counter lady. She’s supposed to get me some quotes in a day or so. I don’t know if she thought I was really poor or what, but she said they could just replace my formica with more formica because it’d be a lot cheaper. Um, thanks, but I want solid counters… Anyway, we’ll see what the bottom line will be.

I don’t understand why they’re arresting the guy whose jetski broke down. Yeah, he shouldn’t have been walking around the airport, but did they expect him to just sit out in the water on a dead vessel? Unless there’s something they’re not telling us - like he has an accent or something?? :dubious:

The world is full of weird people…

“Oh, da, Comrade, I am the Swiss! Yo Da Lady Who! And where are the stealth drones kept?”

Lol! {MMPERS}

Nothing exciting so far today. It’s a bit overcast and still early, so let the kitties out again in the back, and this time they roamed the whole yard, since there wasn’t direct sun scaring them. They met the neighbor dogs, decided they weren’t a threat. Little orange cat figured out she can squeeze through the back gate, which just goes to our back house but I’m going to block that off just because. For now, anyway. Big creamsicle cat found what passes for ‘grass’ in our yard, and started munching like he hadn’t eaten for a week. Will have to try getting them some kitty plants inside the house; last time I did that, they just picked it up with their teeth, dragged it around, batted it, and lost interest.

And now they’re climbing the walls trying to get back outside. Literally. Dresden can stand and reach the doorknob, and he’s been fiddling with that for half an hour. And Murphy’s on the desk above him, fiddling with the lock. :p:p

The fastest way to infiltrate a Navy base by skydiving: nekkid females.

Nekkid Female Skydivers. BAND NAME!

I have had N.O.L. and listened in on a webinar (I hate that word!). Now I am havin’ me a strawberry hard candy which makes me happy.

I am a bad employee. Well, it should be said that the computer was doing something while this was happening:

There are two engineers with cubicles next to mine. Somehow we got to talking about coins. Somehow coins in Canada came up. Somehow this prompted one of them to wonder how strip clubs in Canada handle tips. I said I’d look it up and did so.

It’s probably good that there are no other women near me this time of day.

So…how DO strip clubs in Canada handle tips?

Howdy Y’all from da cave! It’s rainin’. On the weather map there’s a big orange/yellow swirl hangin’ over da hood. Innerestin’. I like gettin’ those close up views like that.

Salmon patties, smashed N.O.T. and English peas for dindin. Might even make bizkits.

I only looked at a few pages, so I’m sure this doesn’t cover every club, but they use coins. Here’s the article I had to read just for the title: ‘In Canada, stripper rules are decidedly loony’ The other page I read said there’s a moat around the stage for the coins.
I did a stupid today. I haven’t packed lunch for the last few days, which I don’t like to do because it costs more. So today I actually packed. Except I forgot that we were getting lunch catered, despite getting an email and a reminder on the timeclock. Oh well, don’t have to pack tomorrow then.

Bad weather for jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, hmm?

I just finished a little quality time in my studio. I smooshed up something I started making the other day - I just didn’t like it. Then I started remaking it using a different technique - I think it should work better.

I also threw 4 things in brown clay. Three will become coffee mugs, and the 4th will be a jar with a lid. I was trying to make the handles, but the clay was too wet and it kept breaking. I set it aside to dry a bit and I’ll try again tomorrow.

**FCD **is on his way home - he installed a couple of white boards in our daughter’s classroom. I wonder if he’ll want supper tonight??

That’s all.

Today is boring. I like boring! Whole chicken is marinading in some stuff; will bake that off and make spanish rice to go with it for dinner.
Cats are still mewling at me to go outside, but it’s so decidedly UGH out there, they’re just gonna have to wait.

How long does it take to get mail forwarded? Changed address 10 days ago and I’m still not getting stuff. As I’m expecting time-sensitive stuff that would normally be here last Friday or Saturday, I’mma gettin worried. :dubious: At least I do have the confirmation email and postcard-thingy, so I know the post office got the right address. Just wonder what on earth it’s doing; I only moved a few blocks away!

What’s the difference between a bad golfer and an unlucky skydiver?
A bad golfer goes :whack: “DAMN!”

The unlucky skydiver goes “DAMN!” :whack:
Well, I don’t know about doing it in bad weather, but jumping out of a perfectly good plane is perfectly, awesomely, incrediblely fun!
As for Nekkid Male Skydivers; let’s just say terminal velocity literally will leave certain body parts flapping in the breeze; not purdy!

Can I have your DVDs?

Thanks guys, and yes mooom my luck has been crazy bad for the last 2 1/2 years, seems I ought to be getting a break sometime soon, doesn’t it? As for lotto tickets, whenever I feel the need to gamble I just start flushing dollar bills down the toilet. Okay, not really, but even with the plethora of casinos in the area I just don’t gamble. My luck just isn’t that good. I am trying (again) to stay out of the pit of depression, and I find that forcing myself to post here helps.

I thought today was my son’s day off, but I was wrong, it’s tomorrow. Last night my parents came by and dad suggested going for a family drive tomorrow, so it looks like that’s what we will be doing. The 'rents never feel like going far, so we will probably end up at the beach out on the rez. My son gets off work at 4:00 today, so we will probably grab some deli sammiches and head out to the same beach. There is always a breeze off the Sound there.

The dilemma of the moment is, should I make shakes using the frozen berries in the freezer? If so, ought they be strawberry or mixed berry? Or perhaps I should make floats? If so, root beer or pepsi? I await input!

Not so hot for the girls, either. Spoilered for the 2-click rule (NSFW).
