I was thinking more of a NYC accent.
I’ve already bitched about my day elsewhere on this board, so I won’t repeat it. Though a few nice things happened today. I got to see cream-coloured kitty on the way home, which was nice.

Oy! Getting the communications thing for the medical stuff is a pain in and of itself.
When the labs came back, it changed the course of treatment (different specialists) so I go to see the pro from Nashville in a week. Meanwhile, I’m bored but not feeling well enough to do anything about it.
When youse go to da pawk wit your goil and lissen to da boids choip!
Big fingers, that should have been “pills”.
As opposed to the 20 in the AM, referred locally as "breakfast’
Dindin has been ingested. Taco night was a big hit, complete with dessert. Have I mentioned lately that I am involved with a seven year old boy trapped inside the body of a fifty-nine year old man? OYKW came in the door with two Choco Tacos for dessert in honor of taco night. He thought it was hilarious.
flytrap we do seem to have blown transformers three or four times a year. Mayhaps the city of Albeeeeeeeny should look into why that is. :dubious:
MOOOOOM beer made with 25.000 year old water. YUM!
I don’t know that Choco Tacos are hilarious, but I do know that they’re delicious!!
We’re looking at touring Iceland - specifically this way. We need to decide on dates so we can figure out airfare and other costs. We also need to look into other options - like what if we just got a car and booked our own rooms? Much to consider…
Supper was yum! And there’s enough chickie left over for chickie salad. Yum!

Yay for full-time telecommute, gotti! That’s so much better than a long commute. I think my brother was on one of those trains that got stuck last month; he’s in Walnut Creek and works in downtown San Francisco, so he’s got a long commute.
[/QUOTE]
Yea, that day sucked. Think I finally staggered home at 8:00 PM.
Ask him about downtown SF to Oakley some day. Your brother’s ride is about half as long as mine.
MOOOOOOM yep, Choco-Tacos are indeed nummy. For some reason he found it hilarious to say Choco-Taco for Taco night. Then again I also get treated to a ummmm… stirrin’ rendition of “Taco Man.” I’ll leave it to you to imagine what that’s like.
I’ll let that image pass. Time to watch Colbert. *** MWAH!!***
Well that was a first; called 9-1-1 for a not emergency.
Crowded hallway. Kid tries to shoot up the side along the wall. All of a sudden it’s very noisy. He somehow managed to not only hit the cover on the fire alarm but catch it, resulting it being pulled/activated. It’s wired to automatically go to county dispatch. Therefore emergency services was called to say it was accidental & you don’t needtabe comearunnin’ with the whoop-de-whoops on.
I’m back.
Looooong day.
I was late getting to house, I was moving in slow motion and traffic sucked.
I signed - it’s not a lease it some kind of occupancy thing - and got the keys.
I put away what little bit I took with me and both bathrooms are well stocked with toilet paper.
OAOASO brought the TV over so that is ready for tomorrow.
I am friggin exhausted, Sah-dog better sleep tonight. I can’t take many more sleepless nights.
Annoyed about the mistake I made on the accounting test last week (just got it back today). Posted an amount to the wrong column, thus getting the final balance wrong.
Yeah, yeah, 1 point out of 100, and I’m still over 99% for the course as a whole, which isn’t THAT bad. Especially when I was sick that evening.
Yes, I’m a perfectionist.
Worked. Went to the Booster Club meting. We are officially back in business.
Welcome home, FCM. : pours a beer :
Congrats on the telecommuting, gotti.
{{{{{red}}}}} hope you feel better.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 62 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 78 for the day. Fall in south Jawja! I am makin’ a tour of the north forty today and it’ll be nice to drive with the window down. Also, this means I leave from da cave so I get to slack around until eight this mornin’.
Sari I’m so proud to know that tp was amongst the first things you moved to the new digs. I still say they should be knockin’ off a hundred dollars a day from the price until settlement. The bitchters need to feel the pain.
Nettie I’m shocked! Shocked I say! Only a 99???!!! Go hang your haid in shame! Let me tell you a story. WAAAAAAAAAAY back in grad school days I had this course where I had to learn a lot of medical terminology. Tests consisted of 50 questions of terminology I had to define. I aced all but the last test. Anywho, one could take each test up to five times with one catch. The most recent score would be the one that counts. So, on the very last test (multiple choice) I boobooed one answer and got a 98. My professor encouraged me to retake the test certain I’d make a hunnert. I told him I believe I would decline as I did not feel as if I would lose any sleep over that 98.
Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, alas and alack, purtification for irk must commence. Oh, I yanked a container of beast stew outta da freezer for tonight’s dindin. It feels Fallish out so beast stew and cornbread sounds like a good thing.
Happy Hump Day (No, I did not link to the commercial cause I don’t feel like it) Y’all!
Good morning, Mumper World!!
**sari **- I apologize, but I seem to be using up your share of sleep. I crashed last night just after 9 and I didn’t get up till a few minutes past 6 - that’s almost 9 hours!! I did wake very briefly around 3, looked at the clock, then closed my eyes again. I’m feeling almost human. Plus I just finished a breakfast of chunky PB on 12-grain bread, and I’m halfway thru caffeinating. I went 4 weeks without a Diet Coke (they charged $2 each on the ship, sans free refills - screw that!) So now the caffeine levels in my blood are returning to normal.
I was hoping to start working my way thru the mountain of dirty clothes today, but it’s supposed to be mostly cloudy with rain starting in the afternoon. I’m not hanging stuff out under those conditions and I don’t want to use the dryer. Firday is supposed to be sunny - I have enough clean underwear till then.
Our crab-monitoring job has been extended into October, ending before we have plans to drive to Ocala, so we accepted. Easy way to help beat VISA into submission. I’m going to cover Saturday or Sunday since my sweetie wants to go on a ride with his Harley buds. And we’ll figure out how we’ll deal with the 5 dates in Oct. Meanwhile, I’m still trying to decide whether to start looking for a temp gig again.
The best news upon my return - Sierra Mist is making their cranberry flavored soda again - YUM!! We plan to stock up because they only offer it for a few months in the fall/winter. Last year, we wept when they pulled it - this year, we’ll be prepared.
Happy Wednesday!!
So happy to blurf y’all from my throne at the orifice. I’d druther be here, bored out of my skull, than flat on my back with 4 different IV lines all running at once (no joke)…
Highly condensed tale coming later today.
Ummm, yer postin’ from the terlet???
Spidey, **BBBobbio **is all classy and stuff - he’d never do that. Or would he? Hmmmmm…
nettie, 99% is still quite an excellent score. Conga rats!
Yay, bobbio! I’m with you abouta dull day at irk being better than a day in the horsepistol.
Another day at home being bored out of my skull but not feeling up to doing anything.
