The without a single thought MMP

Pizza ingestion has been accomplished. OYKW shall shortly commence to cream the butter, sugar, and cream cheese for the pound cake. I shall commence the blendin’ of dry ingredients to which aigs, milk and all the creamed together stuff shall be added. Also, the <snerk> tube pan <snerk> (I have no idea why but that makes me <snerk>), must be greased up and floured. Oh and the oven shall be pre-heated. The great pound cake bakeage experiment begins shortly!

Come back with your tube pan, or on it. :dubious:

snow snow and more snow

so far it isn’t laying on the sidewalk out front so Sah-son doesn’t have to shovel

I have bats in my attic I think
there is a circle of guano on the floor
I wonder how much it will cost to get rid of them, I understand it is not a do it yourself kind of job

I tried to re-enroll in the MD Exchange today. The new website sucks, it’s better than the old one but it still sucks.

Supper was yum. Punkin pie later. For not doing much of anything today, I’s tahred!!!

Aren’t pound cakes normally made in loaf pans?

Nettie one can bake a pound cake in a loaf pan and I have. However, this one is in a <snerk> tube <snerk> pan, because, I have one. Speakin’ of pound cakeage, ‘tis now in the oven. We shall know what happens in a little less than an hour and a half now. Plus also, dressin’ is bakin’ in the convection oven. That way it will only need warmin’ tomorrow.

Oh and Bloody Mary mix is made and chillin’. We shall have Bloody Mary’s and cheese ring with crackers and strawberry preserves (hush it’s good!) tomorrow mornin’ pre pigout .

Done for the day. Chillage shall ensue. MWAH!

Well, this is all very damn exciting for the night before Thanksgiving.

I made matzo ball soup for Mrs. Plant, (v.3.0) because she has bubonic plague and asked for matzo ball soup.
She loves it.
I think it tastes like stale cornbread in bad chicken soup.

swampy’s greasin’ his tube pan!! I snerked at the fact that you snerked at that, swampy.

I had chicken strips and egg noodles (aig noodles?) for supper. Mmm!

I’m continuing to work on crafts.

I had to run to the sto for paper towels. I went ahead and picked up a tube of cranberry sauce, too. Now I’m having a martini and getting read for dinner(chicken and cavatappi, with a white wine sauce) and hockey. Also, Bella let Gordie withing 2 feet of her.

Flytrap, Good matzo ball soup tastes great. Maybe you should learn to make it right.:stuck_out_tongue:

Midget, good luck on the job search.

chizz, glad to hear at least one person is still filled with the Milk of Human Kindness.

Sari, no snow here. Good luck with the bats. Maybe call Ozzy Osbourne?

True, I did violate CP’s First Rule of Cooking: Nothing That Comes In a Box is Food.

Checks that Dogbutler is still on the list, “If I See Then Hanging by Their Fingernails from the Broadway Bridge at Midnight.”

Sari hope you get bat free soonest.

Ok, the great pound cake experiment is a success. It rose to the top of the pan, then contracted a little bit as it cooled as I was told it would do. It came out of the pan with ease. It looks and smells soooooooo good! Go Us! Also the dressin’ is done and almost cool enough to put in da fridge. I prefer anything glass to be cool to the touch before stickin’ it in da fridge.

Midged aig is indeed the correct pronunciation.

Enjoy your walk tomorrow, yeller! It appears that you have sense enough to walk off your calories before they’re injested.

sari, better bats in your attic than bats in your belfry.

Good luck kn the job hunt, Emily!

Got released for everything but you-know-what from the girly doc today! I go back to irk Friday. After a delicious meal involving lotsa veggies and flat noodles in a spicy sauce in Little Saigon, I shopped next door at the international market. I picked up the hoisin, some funky veggies for stir fry Friday evening and a wok for da nephew for Xmas. He loves cooking Asian style, but his sister borrowed his wok and somehow or another, it got used for a catch pan when her husband changed the oil in his truck. :smack:

After getting caught in commuter/holiday traffic in Nashville, I got to the suburb in the western part of my county and picked up a few things that I needed. When I got out, I-40 was a parking lot. All in all, I spent about four hours fighting traffic today.

Two of the punkin pies are jn the oven now and as soon as they come out, the other two will go in. I’s tahred.

I’ll be working part of tomorrow - seasonal job, good pay, nice transition back into normal things. I won’t say where but if you get a box with a smile on it in eastern Ohio/Western PA on Saturday, its because I skipped having a big turkey dinner for a smaller one later at night.

Bundt cake pan.

It’s called a bundt cake pan.

Dinner was good, hockey…not so much.

Ruble, I’m working tomorrow, too.

Spaz, i would agree with you, but I would not deny swampy a chance to <snerk>

Blurf. I had a free day off courtesy of the Office of the Gubn’r and Mother Nature. We got a metric crapton of snow and irk was nice enough to cancel so we can all spend a nice Thanksgiving with our families instead of sitting on I-81 or dead in a ditch.

The day off was very welcome because I’ve got a monster toothache that is going to merit an emergency trip to the dentist on Friday and a sore back. At least I’ve got good drugs to help me make it to Friday. I also have to swallow my pride and ask if I can use my mom’s credit card to pay for it. I don’t get dental insurance until March. :frowning:

I used to know a German girl who belonged to a bundt.

Cold. So damn cold. It’s about 65 degrees F. Wind is very strong. At least tomorrow is a paid day off irk and Firday is only a half day then my weekend that I didn’t get last week.

I went shopping on my lunch break today for all the accoutrements for our feast tomorrow.

Our feast will be our usually very good cornbread dressing, homemade cranberry sauce, roast turkey, collards, sweet Nots, giblet gravy and whatever else he cooks.

I will have to show restraint as I am watching my girlish figure. I am officially down 30 lbs since June but will probably be losing the same 5 lbs again.

Here’s hoping all mumpers stay warm, dry and safe. And Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Up, caffeinated, off to work.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thursday to our non 'Murikin Mumpers.
