That’s too bad. But if anyone needs some guild action this week, we’ll be doing our usual Wednesday night dungeon run tomorrow. If we can get a full group, we’ll queue for Mechanar again.
Reposting for any new comers…

As for tonight, I am sorry to report that the home computer is still in the shop…getting the 3 year old tune-up, optimization, upgrades and rebuffs necessary to come back critin’ and lootin’…
Next Monday, I should be back in the thick of things…
Sorry to hear of your computer trials. I likewise am having a crappy time figuring out what keeps hosing my computer. The hard drives all show up in the BIOS and even show their content when I boot into an Ubuntu liveCD, but windows won’t boot even after a fresh install. I ran the ubuntu memory test and that’s also fine. I’m thinking it has to be either the power supply or the mobo itself but I don’t know which. At any rate, i’ll try my hardest to get on tonight for the raid but we’ll have to see.
Another week of successfully downing Onyxia, although this time we had a bit more trouble. We wiped the first time somehow, but pulled off the kill the second time with no deaths (that I’m aware of). Reins, as always, serves as an outstanding MT, and Nahren and Rahuul (my character) were designated as healers. The second run through had some hairy moments at the end of phase 2 beginning of phase 3, but due (mostly) to Nahren’s excellent healing and excellent tanking all around, the raid stayed alive until we brought ony down.
And fortunately, my computer is back up and running and didn’t hiccup once. Now let’s hope it stays that way. ![]()
I’m very sorry I didn’t even decline the invitation today and just sort of didn’t show up. I was having some major personal stuff this whole week and I had gotten home at about 6:30 after doing TWO 2 hour drives today, and was more or less exhausted for various reasons, took a nap and forgot WoW existed until about now.
Apologies everyone, I’m glad you got a full group at least.
One death, but I hadn’t used my battle rez on the first attempt.
Daw, thanks.
You kept Reins alive, though! I was a little concerned when I saw we had two trees, since trees generally have to work really hard to keep MTs alive. But although I was keeping an eye on his health, for the most part I was well out of range and concerned more with keeping Darlan and the DPSers still on Ony alive. Frankly I’m impressed we pulled together so well on the second try. Good job all around.
The first wipe was at least partially my fault, for over-aggressive aoe dps on the whelps, which led to me being dead, which led to there only being the one melee dps helping Reins with the big adds.
That’s exactly how I died in the second attempt. I had been focus firing on Ony during phase 2, but when they called out to help with the adds I switched to AoE and grabbed too much whelp aggro. Thanks for the Battle Rez Bosstone!
It is so fun seeing all those yellow numbers popping up when you mind sear a pack of 40 whelps.
Yeah, I do so much damage with my Blizzards on those whelps. And I’m starting to see more 10k+ crits these days. So it’s good that I’m getting a little extra gear. Got the helm yesterday which was an UG. I think I’m up to 4k dps at good points, but I think in the end I’m a 3k dpser.
So I’m thinking that next week we’d like to start on ToC10. Sound good? I’ll set it up soon.
Hope everything’s okay!
As long as we can get 10 people, and people don’t mind some wipes as they learn the fights, we should be ok. It’ll be a fun challenge.
You guys think YOU have fun on the whelps? Jsor has lots of fun since I can get all my diseases as well as an AoE on the pack of whelps. I think for a while I broke 7k DPS last time I was there (though it lowered to the mid 6000s after Phase 3 mitigated it).
Oh, everything is fine, just really complicated. The week was probably the best week I ever had, there was just one caveat at the end that soured it a little. Either way, I’m perfectly fine! 5+ hours of driving added onto somewhere around 20 hours of not sleeping just tends to mind-rape you a little.
Tonight, heaven willing and the creek don’t rise, the plan is to take a stab at ToC10. If you can come, please do, so we don’t have to pug.
Also if you’re not familiar with ToC, please read about/check out the videos for at least the first couple of fights. And hopefully we’ll do well but don’t get frustrated if we wipe a few times trying to get coordinated.
Well, theoretically Nahren is geared for TOC10, so that should be all right, but man…I feel so bad for letting him languish compared to my Paladin.
I’ll try to show up, certainly.
Was planning on ToC, but now I have an opportunity to go check out Project Natal at E3, so I’m gonna go do that, and I’ll be back with you all next week. Good Luck!
My computer should be ready today from the shop. They had to reinstall Windows but I asked that they store my files on a separate storage device before they do and transfer them back after the reinstall and insure those files are not corrupted. I did not specify though whether that includes the gaming files like WoW and a few others…I may end up installing WoW and I’m not sure if that would give me enough time to get in by the 8:45 start time (6:45pm for me). If the WoW files were part of the batch, then I should have no problem being there…unless something unforeseen happened…I’m usually the lucky guy who gets to hear the news why things didn’t go as planned.
Might as well take Keliraeda off the list - I just can’t get myself interested in raiding.
Hmm, with Bird and Rik out and Yeti tentative, it’s not looking great. I’ll keep my fingers crossed but we’ll see.
