The WoW "Burning Dog Legion" (Cairne/Horde) 10-man Raid List.

HAHAHAHAHA… Okay, yeah, I didn’t think about that part of it. I was thinking more about the money.

Reminder for tonights raid. I think we lost someone to vacation this week. Only 6 confirmed and 5 tentative. I hope we get enough. If not any suggestion? I wouldn’t mind running the ICC5-man heroics with Moobird. Or ToC-reg for the heart. But I’m happy to help others’ with anything they need instead. But we’re probably gonna get enough.

I think it was Kalathan who was taking a vacation. Rumpole still needs the weekly; dunno who else does. We could also probably fill in with a pug DPS if we’re one or two short.

The weekly was Sarth, right? I think I’ve done that on both my 80s. One of them got the Bag of Spoils

I think we’ll have enough for ICC; I’m hoping we can get in a few shots at Festergut. If not I need a few things from Heroics achievement-wise: my pally needs a full clear of H-OK for Heroic Dungeonmaster, and Kene needs a handful of Heroic achievements for the meta-achievement (like Less-Rabi and Share the Love and some of the Oculus ones.)

I’m up as tentative for tonight. I have no idea how effective I’ll be with a mid-level raid healing set (only 2T9 and the rest of the gear is worse) and an even worse tanking set, but if you need a slot filled I can give it a shot.

If you’re healing, that should let Rahuul ranged dps, which is definitely helpful, as we’ve been a tad light on rdps the last few weeks.

Yep, healing. I’m hoping the 30% buff will at least make me viable in the first wing of ICC. WoW-Heroes shows my current gear as just barely putting ICC10 in the yellow, so.

I haven’t raided or even really played in a couple months, and this’ll be the first time I’m in ICC as a tree instead of a Holy Pally, but I think I’m ready to play some WoW again. I think. Still indecisive. :smack:

Can do just about anything…ICC10, Sarth weekly, hell…I wouldn’t mind taking a crack at Halion, even if we wipe…at least we could see how (non)effective we could be.

I’m fine with doing whatever–I’ll just need to remember to gem and enchant the t10 Moonkin pants before we do it.

I would like to put my vote in for taking a crack at Halion eventually, even if we have to stop ICC to try once. It’s just one thing I really want to take a crack at before 4.0 hits, since it seems like a pivotal transitional moment in Azeroth history. Maybe not tonight, of course, but soonish.

Nice run last night - one-shotted right through Festergut, then took a crack at Rotface and got him down to 21% before everyone died. I think if we do it again with roughly the same group, we should 3-heal Rotface; there’s a lot of “surprise!” damage and the healers are running around everywhere just like everyone else in the raid.

Oh, yeah, and we got Yeti his claymore. Huzzah yeti!

Yeah, unless I get a full suit of T10 between now and next Monday, I won’t have the healing strength to keep up my end of things. Druids are good for casting on the move, but it’s not difficult to overcome the healing I can do then. The powerful stuff still needs cast time. And of course Holy Pallies are kind of screwed aside from occasional Holy Shocks. It’s less of a DPS race than Festergut; as long as we can keep people alive, we’ll get Rotface down eventually.

Yeah, Rotface doesn’t put out a ton of damage on the tanks but there’s so much movement it’s tricky. Also, as a healer I’m not used to watching the boss - I’m usually watching health bars - so I got slimed a few times. But 21% for a first try is good.

Since Yeti got his sword last night, I’m more keen (ha!) now to extend our lock for next week and pick up at Rotface, but I can go either way if folks want to keep farming the first level.

I have to say I felt a little abashed at my haul last night: new belt, new bracers, and two new rings (one drop, one rep reward). I won’t complain if I don’t win anything else for a few weeks.

Heh. Reminds me of the first time I was in ICC with my other raiding guild. Basically everything that dropped in the Lower Hall was a caster upgrade, and everyone else had been through ICC a few times already, so nobody needed or wanted the stuff. I went in with a gear level a little below 232 and came out with an average of 245.

I also was going to suggest that we start in on Rotface.

I agree, though I’d honestly like to go back to healing (even if it means 3 healers) if possible. I found I missed it a ton this week.

If we do keep it open, we’ll probably want 3 healers for Putricide as well, since that’s another fight where dps output isn’t as important as survival, movement, not stepping in bad stuff, et cetera.

:stuck_out_tongue:

I suppose I could reorganize my feral tree into Cat instead of Bear and do all right. That way we can both work healing and DPS as needed. Alternately, I can step out next week if there’s enough healers; I know there was at least one DK who wanted in this week but we were full.

*Huzzah!!!
*

Amazing that the claymore can drop for 4 straight weeks and we as a group needed that…I was counting on it not happening this time around, but that made for a nice surprise when it did.

I died several times last night for some of the funniest reasons:

Not funny: Aggro’d Deathwhisper…caught the Touch of Insignificance…became real insignificant.
Funny: Got battle-rezzed by Nahren only to have Deathwhisper cast Death and Decay .14830288 seconds later with me centered in it.
Not funny: Got killed by the mage on the ship battle…got aggro again.
Funny: Got turned into a ghoul and got stuck on their ship as it went down.
Managed to stay alive the other times until our last fight.
Stupid: Died when I got cleaved against the Guardians at the very end of our group when I requested to clear a little more trash so I can get my rep up to revered. Thanks to all that stuck around to fulfill my selfish request…I sincerely mean that.

I was a little spazzy last night on the fights, my apologies…good beer (Stone IPAs) was had last night, plus I had all 3 of my sons in the same room as I was causing all sorts of commotion and pulled my attention away from the screen a few times. Made for quite a session.

As for locking and progressing further into ICC…sounds like a great idea.

The only reason I really would want to rerun the first level is because I need boots, and I hear some boots drop on the Lower Spire (from Saurfang I think). They’re my only item that’s STILL stuck at iLevel 200, it’s annoying. But I’m more interested in content anyway, so I vote we save. I’m sure there are other boots SOMEWHERE in the instance I can pick up.
