That’s excellent ck, now we’ll be on pins and needles waiting to find out how it goes!!
Yay!
You will have to give us an update no later than Wednesday, because I am sure everyone will want to know how it went.
Yes, there is something to be said about shy, nice guys. I met my husband 8 years ago. He was and still is, an introvert, but he is the nicest man I have ever met. It took a lot for him to ask me out considering I am 15 years older than he is. We have been married for 5 years now and still manage to laugh at least a dozen times a day. I hope you are just as lucky
YAY! CalmKiwi has balls.
Leaving nervous rambling babbling messages on answering machines is just one of technologies ways of reminding us we are far from perfection.
I will keep an eye on the NZ on line papers to see if there are any massacres or axe murders in coffee shops on Tuesday. If I see you there, I’ll send the syrup .
Good luck and try not to overthink it all.
Balls of steel I tell ya!
My imperfection is perfection.
Dang. I am late to the thread. If I had got here earlier I would have said NO, NO, NO, do not call him. At all. Period. Ah well, it is too late now. I would have offered you that advice because I have read a few of your posts and seen your picture and come to the conlusion that you are HOT. It would never work between us though, because, forgetting all my other faults, you are on the other side of the world. So I hope you have a fun date!

It’s Wednesday in New Zealand by now, isn’t it?
Poor guy. I’m betting balls is not at all what he’s expecting.

Call him from a pay phone and arrange to meet him in a very public place with lots of people around.
Then if things go well, you can decide whether to share home phone number, address, etc.
:dubious: Good advice, if not very timely (I’m thinking you missed page two of the thread)
For some reason this brought to mind a “Foamy” cartoon.
You can find it HERE. Click on the “SECRET ADMIRER” cartoon.
Beware of some foul language in the above posted animation, it is probably not work safe (two click rule).
Yeah, calm kiwi will be busy doing her hair, fixing her makeup, and deciding what to wear - that’s her day gone.
Hmmm. It’s Wednesday morning here in the States and still no word.
So . . . .?
How’d it go?
The Teeming Millions await your answer!

Or at least a small percentage of us. Okay missy, spill it. How did the meeting go? We are dying here!!!
Come on, woman! Tell us how it went, already!
Some of us are here waiting on pins and needles!

Maybe she was axe-murdered last night. (Just joking!!!)
After some back and forth on e-mail, I’d give him a chance, but as everyone else said, public place, and I’d bring a friend. He won’t be offended. Any smart woman would make sure she was safe.
