Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out, mostly cloudy and hyooooooooooomid, with a predicted high of 92 mostly cloudy but little chance of rain. Go Figure. It’s summer all over again. ICK! No big plans today. It’s geezer day at the Pubic sto’ but I really don’t need anything so I’ll skip that. Salmon patties, peas, smashed N.O.T. and bizkits will be consumed this evenin’. Easy enough to make. Think I’ll run a couple loads of laundry as well.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I shall purtify and go about the day.
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
Yay for lunch time! Bizzy bizzy day here, so my morning has zipped by.
When I went to warm my soup, I noticed it’s raining - yay for rain! It’s been so dry here recently.
Other than that, nothing exciting, and it appears that way for everyone, judging by the lack of posts.
It’s raining, and 44 Amurkin. Predicted high of 56. I believe Fall has arrived.
Pooka Bear had his vet appointment. We are going to try some meds to see if he can be more comfortable (he pants and is either in pain or anxious). If we can achieve that, we’ll keep rolling a while longer.
I can feel yesterday’s crappy head sneaking back up. Grrrrr! Also, blurf.
blurf Still at irk even though there are no tourists here so it is pretty dead. My one employee who did not evacuate for the storm was tapped to man the EFAC which is the Emergency family something something. She has been assigning housing to people who have lost their houses or they are too damaged to live in. As of yesterday we are housing 175 families.
other than that there is no news. SSDD
Is FB not up and running? I just get a blank white page there.
Me too, FCM. Russians?
Well, I finally made a list of things to do around the house, did seven of the easy ones this morning and will make a start on the harder ones this afternoon. Having a list does help me focus on the job(s), always has.
Nice day today after all-day raining yesterday. High should be close to 80.
Butters, so please report on the first ticket you sell, will indicate that things are on track to normality (may be awhile). I’d say your cow-orker has a big job too do.
Sunni, hope Pooka has a good visit at the vets.
Today’s list, if I can rally for some of it:
-New microwave. Ours is 10 years old and has decided to die. Consulting multiple repair shops has resulted in the verdict that a new one is more cost effective. Modern life. :smack:
-Shopping. The kids like to eat, silly things.
-Something for Pepper to do. She needs exercise, and the rain makes it harder.
-'Beamer for his weekly doctor check in.
-Ice cream. I need ice cream.
Good day all ( since I mostly crapped out the morning). Dog jr. is not acting weird anymore but we have appt. And we will keep it. He is already suspecting something is up. He is hiding in lil’wrekker’s bedroom. But I saw him go in, I am afraid he can’t hide from Sherlock Mom. Tsk, tsk, resistance is futile. I gotta have grub before I leave to go to vet, so I am whistling my way toward the fridge, as we speak. Weather is so nice, I want to buy pumpkins and stuff to decor-up the porch…but no one ever sees my porch, except us ( boonies ) and may be the UPS man. oh well, may do it anyway, we will see! Mr Wrekker is still at deer camp, so I am on my own tonite! Good bye all!! from Ms. Rex
This week’s Arkansas food transportation disaster.
Oh, the horror!
The superstition of Friday the 13th is valid. It has to do with the Knights of the Templar. The TV show “Mystery of Oak Island” tells this story. The story more or less has to do with a king of France whose coffers were running low and he needed more money. He heard of all the gold and other expensive items buried on Oak Island by the Knights of the Templar ( The Holy Grail and the Ark of the Covenant to name a few ) so he devised a nefarious plan to find where the treasure was. The plan was to kill all masons by burning them alive at the stake until one of them cracked and told where the treasure was buried. Most of the masons were killed because none of them would tell. Almost all the masons were eradicated and the date this began was Friday the 13th during the 1300’s. Google " The Mystery of Oak Island" tv show and learn for yourself.
Sorry, but as far as I’m concerned, the whole Oak Island mystery is so much silliness. It’s another of those TV shows that tries to create something out of nothing.
In the real world, we’re having rotissed chickie from Food Lion for supper, with instant smashed N.O.T. and peas-n-carrots. Ice cream later. Maximum yum for minimal cooking.
It’s been raining on and off all day - I’m sure my yard is most happy about that!
I so want to believe the ‘Oak Island’ thing, becoz I am an optimistic peep. But the tv show has kinda ruined it for me. The waste of money and resources in just overkill. Too bad!
sunny, unless your microwave was a high end one, ten years was a good run.
Irked, came home, walked Nelson and stopped to talk to neighbors twice while out. The first was a guy with a dog that we knew (didn’t know the guy). Apparently he’s staying with his sister who lives here whilst going through a breakup. He got waaaaaaaay to TMI for a first meeting and I excused myself after about ten minutes. The second was the kids playing in the next complex separated only by a chain link fence. They wanted to know all about my puppy and told me about aunts’, uncles’, and grandparents’ dogs, cats and birds. They were sweet.
Time to do the dishes.
Are you in a bit of a Time Warp, again?
So when an adult does it, it’s TMI, but when kids do it, it’s cute? :dubious:
Yep.
The Knights Templar were tortured supposedly for heresy, to get their wealth from them.
The Oak Island Thing was added by Oak Island Believers.
Worked, came home, walked Gordie. A thundermonsoon woke me up from my nap.
The Ruskies keep hijacking my Imstragram account.:dubious:
At least it wasn’t a Meatloaf spill.
Feel better, Sunny, and fingers crossed for Pooka Bear’s new meds.
Well, Hell.
I don’t nap. It isn’t safe when there are so many jealous husbands.
spidey, the kids had much less personal subject matter.
One thing with Da Jungle ---- being that large it will outlive me. The issue is our type of building is 90% part time and the serious sweatshops (fulfillment centers) are like 50% full time. You make it someones real job and you can get away with treating them with some level of crap. In our situation it just makes for a time to sacrifice some chickens hoping we get a new site boss soon.
Guns are packed. One thing with the new time is I don’t have to hit the club and shoot-and-run. Although there are those ---------
