There's a Friday the 13th in the MMP!!!

Visited Miss A. She wanted skritches and snicker snacks (aka carrots) so of course I obliged. Dinner was Polish snausage and stir fry cabbage. 'Twas nummy. In my pjs waiting for Project Runway on the teevee. Kinda headachy cuz it’s damp and drizzly.

So with the stack of screw ups and delays, my non-surprise truck was 5 hours late. And no supplies for the pharmacy(but i did get an extra pallet of Christmas stuff. ) Gordie needs to bark out some winning Powerball numbers. Making spicy chicken and pasta with olives and tomatoes. Panthers game is on. #KeepPounding.

I had sushi for lunch. Now I feel eel.

Yes, it was enjoyable to watch. I went to the bar to watch it.

I walked over to a place called the Oyster Bar, a real dive
But I knew the owner
He used to play for the Dolphins
I said “Hi Gil”
You have to yell, he’s hard of herring.

Drat – missed by a bit. On the top of the page thing — did real well hitting at the range. My new/old rifle has full peeps (something I’ve never had before and its a real tackdriver out to 50. The rain was a little heavier than I wanted to run back and forth to 100. Its a Mossberg 44B .22 for those interested in such things until my houseboat sinks.

Housecleaners did show up, several hours late. The important thing is that my house is much cleaner. Something, something fur everywhere. Bags of the stuff, apparently.

It’s been pouring down and Pixel, the resident chi-hoo-ha-hoo-ha, has decided that sensible dogs do not go outside when it’s raining. This led to an Unfortunate Incident involving my suitcase. Now he is carried out to his duty station and watched to make sure his mission is complete before he can return. He moves pretty quick when properly motivated.

Coming up, second trailer trip tomorrow.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’! YAWN ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out and fair with a predicted high of 91 and mostly cloudy but only a twenty percent chance of rain. Go figure. I’m gettin’ tired of these Summer temps. I am a Summer baby and thus enjoy the heat but it’s mid October! Lows should be in the mid to upper 50s and highs should be in the mid to upper 70s. Majik intartoobz pizza is on the menu for tonight.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Beyond that, who knows! It’s that kind of day.

Happy Firday THE THIRTEENTH Y’all!

Never Google symptoms.

I had a dream where I went to kick somebody* and in real life I kicked out in my sleep and hit the wall. That was a weird thing, I had done a similar thing recently where I woke myself up when waving my arms around.

I figured I’d look it up online to see if that was a bad thing, and the sites said that it was an early sign of diseases like Parkinson’s. Which is incurable of course, and if you’re destined to have it, you just have to live with it.

Now I have no reason to think it’s genuinely in my future, I have no other worrying symptoms, not even a hint of a tremor or any clumsiness, so I am not worried really. But nonetheless it’s now preying on my mind.

I figure if it happens more frequently, that may be the time to have some tests done. Until then, I will try not to worry.

sigh

*He deserved it, he spat at my Mother in the dream.

Packed his bags & told him to get out?
I’m up, & trying to deal with the fallout of a rearranged weekend schedule.

**BatBoy **- my spousal unit is occasionally violent in his sleep. He kicked me in the shins once, and he’s sorta-punched my pillow several times. These things only seem to happen when he’s really exhausted or when something’s on his mind. When our daughter was little, she was a kicker when she slept. Heck, even I have awakened in a tangle of covers, suggesting I had a nocturnal rasslin’ match. I suspect it’s a “symptom” of Parkinson’s in the same way that a headache is a symptom of a brain tumor. Yeah, it’s possible, but not the first thing one should assume. So you’re right not to worry.

Well, my Nats lost to the Cubs, dammit. So it’s all over for them this year. I couldn’t even watch the game. I guess we’re stuck with football now. ugh.

Today is tit-squishin’ day - I’ve set my phone alarm as a reminder. Afterwards, I’ll attack the guest bathroom and get it ready for our house sitter. Not much else planned beyond that. I’ll just make things up as I go along.

Happy Firday the THIRTEENTH!!!

Well, so far so good on Firday the thirteenth (of course, I still have 17 hours to go). Cool mornings and the sound of my air conditioner NOT clicking on for days on end is a good thing. It feels more like a Saturday to me, but I’m aware (for now) it is a Firday.

Confirmed my dental appointment for this coming Thursday. Oh joy.

Only thing I can remember violently dreaming was having a car crash (in my dreams) and slamming my head into my pillow hard enough to wake up.

So onward with the day. Need to plan my menu, I know what I want to eat the next two days but the order that I consume them is leading to some internal discussion.

Tomorrow night is good ol’ St. Pat’s annual "Celebration Dinner.* Each week a church enewsletter is published. This week’s enewsletter did not mention the "Celebration Dinner* at all. People were supposed to sign up and last Sunday was the last day to sign up and all that but still, you’d think some mention would have been made. Curious.

BatBoy if such things are occasional, I wouldn’t worry about it at all. We all do some weirdness in our sleep at times.

  • “Celebration Dinner” is code for kickin’ off the annual pledge campaign. We all know that. It is not hard to figure it out. An invitation and a pledge card come in the same envelope every year.

You should have some chocolate as a reward.

Life’s short, eat dessert first.
Swampy, wanna trade retired life for my online training? It is beyond stoopit!!

One section has fill-in-the-blanks; I got one wrong because of a typo & another one wrong because I typed “Access restrictions” (copied directly from previous screen) when the ‘correct’ answer was “restrictions”. D’Oh!

Up, dressed and several chickens were sacrificed and salt scattered ---------- just in case. Back when our branch of Da Jungle opened and we had our first Jason-Day I had joked with the manager beforehand that maybe he needed to do something to drive out the bad juju; he didn’t. All the conveyor belts in the building died just into the first shift and we had to do the entire days volume totally by hand. Think of it like pushing your car for your entire vacation - seriously bad scene. Our other Friday the Thirteenths have been plagued with issues as well. The guy who is going to be manager today is a little superstitious and a fun guy so I expect some ---- shenanigans? ---- so I’m packing an extra rubber chicken or two just in case. This oughta be fun!

Firday the thirteenth has been quite nice so far; looks like the holiday cottage cleanin’ job should work out, I just had a trial shift, and it’s friendly and not too difficult. It’s cleanin’, it ain’t rocket surgery. They seem to be OK with me doing Firdays with the odd Saturday, which is my ideal.

It’s quite nice to get irk that’s physically active, but not in the least mentally taxing, 'cos I’m spending most of the week sitting down trying to brain.

It finishes early too, so I got nuttin’ much to do for the rest of the day.

Let’s try this again. Stupid computer. I hate Windows 10 so much I have ordered a windows 7 machine. It is refurbished so not too expensive.

I have a vet appt. at 3PM today to get a little knot examined I found on the back of Lucky Louie’s neck. Since his cancer scare we get everything checked out ASAP.

Other than that it is painfully slow at irk.

Doggiooo You have me wanting to make that chicken with pasta and tomatoes and olives. Can you post the recipe? Sounds delish.

ick - coconut! :stuck_out_tongue:

I was walking out of the door of the imaging center at what was supposed to be my appointment time. They weren’t extremely busy and I was early, so it was quick. Yay! Then I stopped at Food Lion for some sour cream and carrots - I’m making N.O.T. soup for supper and I put a chopped carrot in the soup. Yum! While there, I also grabbed some Heavenly Hash and a salmon fillet - I’m going to smoke the salmon and take it to my mom on Thanksgiving.

We’ll be having lunch in a bit, then I’ll attack the guest bathroom. After that, dunno - afghaning? It’s dreary and overcast so no outside work. We’ll see how the day goes.

Naaah, too easy…
Off to the camera sto to pick up my lens & maybe another errand.

:stuck_out_tongue: Spidey

Just finished helping **FCD **level his lathe. It’s a lot more complicated than it sounds. We managed to get the twist out of the bed - not that you could see any twist - and it’s ever so slightly higher at one end, again, not so you can see it. We’re talking a difference of .0015 over 6’ of distance. It’s amazing what one can measure with the proper equipment.

We have lunched and I think I shall commence to afghaning. I’ll start making supper around 4 or so. For now, chillage and Netflix.

Howdy Y’all! I’ve spent much of the day chillin’ just cause I didn’t want to do anything and can get away with not doin’ anything. I have some boneless chikin boobs that will be grilled, then sliced on top of a tossed sallit. I shall also make some cheesey garlic bread. A simple but nice suppage on what has been yet another hawt and hyoooooomid day.
