So the little bump was a apocrine cyst or sweat gland. Veterinarian poked it with a needle and that was that. Twice now I have had great results with bumps and lumps.
Tis Firday and I am home though I am thinking I shall go to the store and try to figure out what to cook. Or not.
Did I mention that a friend sent me nine bottles of wine. A man walked into the office the other day and asked for me and said he had something for me from Patrick AFB. It was wine. Lots of it from a girlfriend that lives close to there. Just what I needed.
I have been upside down and weird all day. Lil’wrekker called at midnight last night. Needed to make 6 doz. Cookies for her theatre groups fundraiser. Dutifully, I got up early (ugh) and cheated and got already prepared cookie dough and cooked them cookies right up. She’ll never realise they ain’t my recipe. She ran in at 11:30, washed a load of clothes, ate leftovers from the fridge, begged for more allowance $$, and flew out the door and was gone. My little bird does fly high nowadays! I do miss her little face, though. Mr. Wrekker is still deer camping til monday, unless he gets his buck tomarrow. Gawd, I hope he don’t bring a bunch venison home. I hate that crap! So on with my evening, all alone, ahh sweet peace and quiet!
wreck, why couldn’t she make her own cookies? Ah well, motherly duties are never done. Enjoy the break.
coach, I saw that too on Facebook. And nary an accident in all those years…
Butters, easy on that wine there…
Nut, hope the job keeps being good to you.
Ate a BIG mean at Logan’s Roadhouse (thought that they had taken the meatloaf off the menu but they still have it so that, fries, salad and 4 rolls with butter (cause that’s how I roll) has given me a case of the over’stuffing. May or may not eat dinner tonight.
No soccer coaching tomorrow due to either my team or the opposition not having enough players (fall Break in schools), so I’m looking at a full day of refereeing. Nice (under 80F weather is expected.
sunny, Nelson tried that crap with me during the rains right after Harvey. I promptly bought him a little yellow slicker. Iffen I have to get my happy ass wet, so does he.
Enjoy the wine butters! :hic:
:knocks wood: Firday the 13th has been personally uneventful thus far. The big news in Nashville is that a tractor trailer with [del]steaks on the hoof[/del] beef cattle just outside of downtown and headed towards the stockyards overturned. http://www.newschannel5.com/news/semi-overturns-blocks-all-lanes-of-briley-parkway-north I have to wonder if the driver is from Arkansas.
Tomorrow, I have a gig with the heathens at Second Harvest food bank. Afterward, I’ll pick up the kid bag and go to the farmer’s market either in Donelson or downtown (but only if the parking isn’t horrific).
As for why she don’t do her own cooking is because she cannot. I have spoiled that child so much. The thing is She is a very sweet spoiled rotten child. She can bat them lashes and get anything. I just hope she never uses her super power for evil intentions. I would walk over coals for her, and I secretly like the fact that she still needs me. Don’t tell her older sibs, they kinda see through her antics!
On 7 out of 8 lanes it was a normal day. That last one kept 20 of us an extra hour to clean up for shipping. :smack: Can’t complain; I volunteered since a buddy/zipperhead (middle manager) got the job of running the cleanup. But if I hadn’t scattered that salt to drive away the evil spirits …
Worked, wnet to a party for my friend’s 68th birthday. There was cake.
Cut up one boneless, skinless chicken thigh. Heat some oil, add chicken, salt, oregano, majoram, rosemary, and red pepper flake. Cook till browned. Add grape tomatoes, green and black olives, and a tablespoon of Italian hot peppers. serve over spaghetti.
Welcome to my world! I always seem to find cuts, scrapes, and bruises with no recollection of acquiring them. Apparently when I’m concentrating on one thing, I may not notice collateral damages. Makes life interesting…
We finished yesterday with one last chore - we were overdue to rotate the mattress. Apparently, one no longer flips them because they’re one-sided. So we spun it around.
It’s primarily a memory foam mattress and **FCD **finds it too soft (funny, in the store he said it was fine, but that’s another story) so we’ve been trying various things to firm up his side. First was a small area rug, but it was always getting scrunched and moving around, plus it shed its backing. I had to put the vacuum cleaner on the mattress to suck up the sheddings. then we tried a sisal-style mat, but it also got too scrunched.
Well, yesterday while working in his shop, he saw some still-in-the-package anti-fatigue mats - highly unlikely that they’ll scrunch. He used some gorilla tape to reinforce the joints (normally, they fit together like puzzle pieces) and we put it under the mattress pad on his side. Guess we’ll find out this morning how it worked.
I’m minorly ticked because when we were mattress shopping, I suggested we get 2 XL twins - one that I’d like and one that he’d like. With a mattress pad over them, you’d think it was a king. But no, he said the one we bought was OK… till he slept on it. Anyway, here’s hoping this is the solution.
Today’s chores are laundry, cleaning the guest bathroom (that I didn’t clean yesterday) and cleaning the critters’ fountain. I’ll probably run the vacuum cleaner, too - Ziva’s been leaving clumps of herself in the living room. We might see sun this afternoon. Maybe…
mooommmmm. Nothing worse than a too soft bed. I had one and used very stiff cardboard under the pad and it worked best. Finally I gave up and bought a new mattress.
Blurf. Tis Sat and I was planning to sleep in but one canine had to go outside at his normal time so I am awake and semi dressed. I know a trip to the grocery store is in order today to get ingredients for Dogggiooos chicken dish and there is always housework to do. I have been binge watching a couple different series so I have that too.
butters, a certain puppy “allowed” me to sleep an extra half hour past my irkday wake up this morning before demanding (by way of multiple wet willies and general squirming) to be taken for his morning constitutional. We went back to bed for another hour and a half when we returned though.
Once I get a shower and dressed, it’s off to the city to help bag potatoes or put together meal packages with the food bank. Happy Saturday.
**Butters **- since I became a back-sleeper, I find the memory foam is most comfortable. **FCD **is a side-sleeper and he likes a firmer mattress. He said he slept well last night - didn’t get up till 9!!! - so I’m assuming the new pad works fine.
I’ve showered and dressed, we hauled the dirties down to the laundry room and sorted everything, and the first load is washing. I’ve also cleaned the critters’ water fountain - it was kinda gross. Three weeks is too long between cleanings. Apart from finishing laundry, which will run several hours, I’ve got to vacuum and clean the bathroom. Good times…
Twice I have been to the store to get dishwasher detergent and twice I came home without it. This is to remind myself to[ul]
[/ul]get dishwasher detergent.
I was just talking to the neighbor and he said that the estimate on storm debris which is still everywhere and every single house and every single road into neighborhoods have piles and piles. He said there is 300 million cubic yards of stuff. Mind boggling.
**Butters **- what will happen - next time you’ll remember it. And the time after. And the time after. And the time after, till you run out of space to store dishwasher detergent!
Second load is in the washer - guess I should drag out the vacuum.
