Wow shoe, I am so impressed by your musical knowledge.
I never saw stink bugs growing up, and now we even have a few here in Switzerland. Fortunately my husband’s from PA, so he has the skill to catch one and flush it down the toilet without getting stunk.
Never seen any growing. I know people who go mushroom hunting, which is rather popular here. It’s possilbe to take the mushrooms to a specialist, who will help make sure that the picker only eats the edible ones. Rather important, as some edible mushrooms have poisonous “twins” (or “cousins”), which will confuse some people.
I do appreciate the 'Dope for giving people the opportunity to share their interests, especially over the last 18 months.
I think I have 2 or 3 projects in work, but haven’t touched anything in years. My grandmother had a square tablecloth with 4 napkins which she started to embroider many years ago. Actually, I think her aunt might have started it, and lost her sight, and gave it to my grandmother. When I was mid-teens (80s), she gave the project to me, and I worked on it for some time. It’s not done. She passed away and I’m thinking that someday I’m going to throw it on a fire. Just need a burn barrel. And it’s stained, so I basically have this situation. Nope, not going to start that again.
My grandmothers tried to teach me crochet, tatting, knitting and embroidery. I like counted cross-stitch which they never did. My mom did a small piece for me, and I treasure that as much as some of the bigger pieces from my grandmothers, because I know how much she detests counted cross-stitch. Plus, it’s from my mom.
Probably should pull out one of the smaller projects and finish (start?) those. Something to do while watching television.
Even though most of the fall festivals have been canceled, the bakeries are still selling Zigerkrapfen, so I had one for breakfast. I think there will be a long walk in my future today. Gorgeous blue sky, and it’s warming up.
Happy Sunday!
