I have nothing against Christians. While I don’t happen to be one, in a way I actually admire true Christians. I don’t think this was a Christian thing to do. It’s just that occasionally a poster from over there thinks it is their mission to “help” people over here. Also if I implied (and I think I did) that the LeftBehind MessageBoard was in any way responsible, then that was wrong of me. And, now that I think about it, I guess two out of 22 people having religious userID’s is not remarkable. Perhaps I was out of line. I’m sorry.

Sorry if I offended you with my post. I didn’t mean to blame Christians for starting this, it’s just that after reading Tuba’s message in ATMB about us being put on a prayer circle, and then coming here and reading DDG’s message, I got suspicious. I didn’t even read all of the e-mails, I deleted most of them. I just don’t have time to read a bunch of nonsense e-mails from total strangers.

I mean you folks are not exactly supersweet like, say, purplebear, but you are all fine, upstanding SDMB citizens, who do not go out of your way to piss people off. Oh, sure, you all have opinions, and are fond of stating them, but isn’t that why we are here? There are some who MIGHT deserve such spamming, but it isn’t you folks.

Actually, I’ll admit that I’m kind of perversely honored to have been targeted in this way. But I still have no idea who did this, or why those of us who were chosen were chosen.
Just plain freaky and weird. Thankfully, there are quite a few people now complaining to AOL about this “Sarah”; maybe eventually we’ll get word of who did it and why.

Why was I chosen? How many posts have I made? Not many, I’m afraid, and not on the “Want Prayer?” thread either. Silly me, I didn’t even realize that it was the SDMB that made me a target… But doesn’t it seem like we could trace the culprit by a careful scrutiny of idiosyncratic (read teenybopperish) spelling and grammar? Then one of you angry folks could roast 'em.
Personally, I didn’t mind so much. An an annoying and unexpected diversion from my mind-numbing toil is a diversion nonetheless.

I will no longer let my email address be accessible.
Yeah, I’ve gotten some great and welcomed email but, of late, I’ve been bombarded with nothing but crap and weird shit.
This hasn’t happened to me but in the last month. I don’t know what changed but if you happen to have my old address you better be sure to state, very clearly, who you are and why you are writing to me. Otherwise I won’t even open it.
I’ve gotten tons of weird mail since I’ve been here but nothing like the deluge that I’ve gotten in the last two months. I don’t know what’s changed but I don’t like it and will not only dump my address from my profile but I will change my address with my ISP.
I’m very angry that someone is abusing the fact that I once, like others, freely shared my email address. Thanks to some worthless asshole I no longer am able to do that. Fuck you, you shank. I hope that the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits.
