This is the End, my MMP Friends...

Well, my branch head when I was with NASA I swear was a dead ringer for Frederick Douglas, mostly because of the big mop of gray hair.

Lunch!!

The engineer showed up and showed me how to do what he wanted done. He definitely started it the hardest way possible. But I finished it, so there’s that.

**BBBobbio **- before my sweetie went gray and lost much of his hair, people said he looked like Al Borland. He even dressed like Al for Halloween one year - all he needed was a flannel shirt!

Been awake, got shopping done, and am ready to snooze a little before work. Other than that, same old same old.

Howdy Y’all! I have been a productive bear this mornin’. Da cave is somewhat spiffed up, the last load of laundry is in the dryer, poke roast is slow cookin’ away, and a bunch of trash that blew into the front yahd has been cleanded up. Go Me! Now I deserve a break.

Midget glad you heard from your friend and everything is ok.

I await the rain that’s comin’ in this afternoon, tonight, and tomorrow, yet again. ICK!

I am often mistaken for Humphrey Bogart.

Still have my cold. “Working” from home (things are slow this week). There is chicken soup in the crock pot.

It is sleeting. Got a couple of inches of snow. I’m glad winter is here.

I moved away from Florida and have repressed a lot of memories.

Blurf!

You look like a corpse () or 116 years old?

I wish I could repress, but 11 years after leaving, we still return annually because my inlaws still live there. And now my daughter has moved back. I could die happy if I never had to return to Florida ever again…

OMG! Listening to one of the engineers here talking about building a house - literally building it himself or with friends. It’s obvious he’s never built anything in his life. A couple of weeks ago, I heard him going on and on about some waterfront property he wanted to buy - OBVIOUSLY, the sellers were asking way too much money and they were fools not to take his offer. He’s also talking about living on a boat - yeah, he’s an authority on that, too.

Young 'uns are so cute. Clueless young 'uns are even cuter! This guy is a piece of work.

Why all the hate for Florida? I do admit the place I am is not anything like the mainland.

Just mopped my office not that it will matter. It will be dirty again before the end of the day.

Tis awful hot out, current temp is 81F with a heat index of 87F. This is just not right for this time of year. Normal temps for this time of year are around 70F.

**Butters **- have you ever lived in Jacksonville? Orlando? Ocala? *Ugh *on all of them. I did like Pensacola, and I enjoyed my visits to the Keys - in fact, I’d be willing to return, preferably by air so I don’t have to drive thru the rest of the state. :stuck_out_tongue: Florida is too flat, too sandy, too buggy, and too full of annoyances, human and otherwise. No, thank you.

Never lived anywhere in Florida but the Keys. Come on down one day Moooooommm I’ll be happy to show you around.

Feeling more awake now.

I need to eat something though. I have to figure out a way to eat on a regular schedule. I get busy and don’t think about it until I’m so hungry I’m shaking. Then I want something quick.
I went out into the kitchen to get something and the phone rang, then I forgot why I was out there - and now I sit here typing when I should be cooking.

I’ve done all the work that came my way, I’ve read a magazine and an AARP newspaper, I’ve done a crossword puzzle, a Sudoku, and another puzzle. And in 10 minutes, I’m outta here!!!

I guess it was a productive day. Now, what to do for supper?

My nephew moved his family to Pensicola this summer. That’s about as far from the Keys as you can get and still be in the same state

You do realize you’re not helping?

Really, do you get that?

:stuck_out_tongue:

I looked at airshow weekend. $4-figures for just air & hotel. Uh-uhh!

Spidey If you could get here I have connections for cheap lodging.Own a couple of tents. :stuck_out_tongue: Will be a fun and loud time. This will be my 4th one and 3rd working the event. Will be glad when it is over.

I hate Blue Cross and CVS/Caremark. The bastards decided that my insulin was not medically necessary, and refused to process my refill.

I best be getting a response to “Why?” pretty damned fast, or I foresee a whole lot of hell being raised. ADA lawsuit, anyone?

Home, and with a happy tummy. We had cod (yum!) with fresh green beans and instant smashed N.O.T. (Don’t judge!! :stuck_out_tongue: ) The gutter cleaners came today, and as a bonus, they cleaned the leaves off our deck and the roof - all for $110! Yay for clean gutters and stuff! And we’ve got a quote for getting the siding pressure washed in the spring, so no more green walls on the north side of the house.

Last week, we got a medical bill that’s over 120 days in arrears! It was for something **FCD **had done in April. It was for a whopping $3.38 - and they threatened us with collections over it. Gee, if they’d sent the bill in the first place, they’d have been paid months ago. Payment goes in the mail tomorrow.

I want chocolate. Now. Dammit.
