Anyway, the one thing that stands out for me is the Red, Astral, Special Ed troika who voted for both of the eventual lynchees.

Does anyone remember if Red tends to play it quiet as Town? 'Cause I know he lurks as scum as a deliberate strategy.

A hysterical shriek fills the chamber as the room is again lit with eerie red mist. A singular figure, small and red, shrieks in panic while thrashing on the Altar:

The shadow known to you as fubbleskag fades swiftly into a small, familiar red-and-yellow creature. It shrieks:

“… Snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa–”

Even the shrill screaming of the tiny creature is no match for the great booming crackle that fills the room. fubbleskag is stolen from view in a bright blue flash, searing through the red mist, his shrieking silenced. In a moment, the room is once again lit only by a pillar of white light illuminating the central Altar.

Fluid, if both Panthro and Snarf targeted Lion-O on the same night he was targeted for death, would Snarf have died?

(my reading is that Snarf would die anyway regardless of whether or not there was a doc block, so we don’t know yet if there’s a Doc)

No. “If the player is Lion-O, Snarf will die in Lion-O’s place”; Panthro’s ability “protect<s> them <the protectee> from being targeted by a night kill”. If there’s no opportunity for one’s death, there’s no opportunity to die in one’s place.

Looking again at the votes on the last lynch. (BTW, thanks for the colored vote list, Tom. It’s something I like to do, too, and you’re saving me the effort. )

All in all, I have to say I’m now finding ed about as scummy as Pleonast. My case on Pleonast rests mostly on his anti-Town multivote (which he apparently does consistently, so it’s not itself a scum tell) and his Day one cheerleading, which is suspicious but not necessarily a strong scum tell.

If I’m reading you correctly, you’ve got about half of a scum tell on Pleonast, and you find Special Ed “about” as scummy. You were voting for Pleo, but then you switch to Ed. Since you don’t sound particularly convinced of your own case, is there somebody else you’d rather be voting for? You don’t sound particularly convinced or enthused about your own cases.

As I mentioned earlier, even if it were true and you were the lynch leader, aka in line for the noose, (a) a three-way tie 24 hours before the end of Day hardly justifies a claim and (b) if you don’t get lynched, your claim harms Town. Add in the fact that it wasn’t true and you’re starting to smell pretty scummy, IMO.

I don’t 100% understand this. I kind of see where you’re coming from when you say he’s not really lynch leader. I’d say he was close enough, since he was tied, but that’s just semantics. What confuses me is your comment that his claim “harms town.” Presuming he’s a town player, he needs to do everything in his power to save himself if he’s on the chopping block, because lynching town players is a losing strategy. With only 24 hours left to go, and a relatively anemic discussion group, I can understand his timing. Plus, assuming he’s telling the truth, he’s gotten us 1/12th closer to lynching scum. We can now reevaluate our lynch, and we have plenty of time to discuss our next target. Not seeing the issue here.

Overall, I’m finding little things about Giraffe pegging me throughout the game. Mahaloth has as well, as I’ve mentioned before.

I don’t agree with Astral’s complaints about Giraffe, but they’re not anti-town and I don’t see any scummy motivation.

Here’s how I stand at present - I more or less have the same preferences as Astral, although 1. I get amazingly strong pro-town vibes from myself, and 2. I think I lean slightly more toward Giraffe than Mahaloth, but only slightly – that because Giraffe seems to keep pushing on increasingly diminishing returns, and that kind of doggedness doesn’t seem merited by the actual case. I really don’t like Mahaloth’s apathetic, low-density play, same as I said earlier in the day, and I’ll vote him for that for now because it’ll at least bring him into the tie and provide the opportunity for those of us who aren’t sure about the motivations behind the ed vote to consolidate on an alternative.

I don’t want to lynch ed, though I guess to save myself if it comes to it I’ll have to; I’ll have to try to check in late late tonight. It will be interesting to see what happens with those who haven’t participated yet.

I’m assuming this is why Jimmy ended up voting for Giraffe, because the actual vote post has nothing. I’d like a better explanation because this one is lacking. What do you refer to by “pushing on increasingly diminishing returns” specifically?

Ed, you’ve complained about lack of participation, but it looks a lot like you’re one of the ones not doing their part. Votes and nearly absent reasoning might let you avoid the moderator’s scythe; it does nothing to help the rest of us.

Overall, I think the jumping onto Giraffe really sucks. They were not on the lynch radar at all until the very end of the Day. It gives me extra suspicion about ed and a little towards Jimmy. I think there’s more than one scum on the Giraffe bandwagon.
