We’ve done this before, and it’s high time we do it again.
Now then. I’m married, so this is purely a hypothetical exercise. That being said, I have two Doper crushes:
ZipperJJ: she’s smart, funny, kind, and mouthy. And when I come across her pic in Arnold’s gallery my knees get weak. She posted another pic in a Halloween costume thread around here somewhere that nearly turned me into a drooling simpleton.
WhyNot: looking at her pic in the gallery makes me just as weak as ZJJ’s does. She’s also smart and sweet and all around one of my favorite posters.

Well, in the second sense (no kissing) I have a real thing for Der Trihs. He says what he believes…very forcefully…but he doesn’t quibble, or play dictionary games, or lay “gotcha” traps. He doesn’t play straw-man games. He doesn’t play excluded middle games. He says what he believes. You always know exactly where you stand with him.
And…between times, he can make some incredibly funny, insightful, and deep comic book references, which get me every time, as I’m a comic book geek too.
I’ve had a thing for him from my earliest days lurking here.
Also Hentor the Barbarian. I really like the cut of his jib, I do. And CMYK. (Oops, did I get that right?)
Half Man Half Wit has been wonderful in advanced physics and science threads. Extremely educational. I wouldn’t kiss him, but I’d happily shake his hand.
I have a total crush on Skald the Rhymer. His knowledge, his interests, his sense of humor, and his growth as a person, both on the boards and off. I also respect that he is so very loyal to his wife. (Please don’t kill me, Mrs. Skald!)
WhyNot is my girl crush. She reminds me of both my mom and myself, and I would just love to hang out with her and swap stories.

Funny thing is, other than dress size, skin color, and proclivity for niceness, I think WhyNot and I are quite opposite in every way! I don’t mean that in a bad way, I think we’re just on different quadrants of the upper half of the awesome graph For example, she probably knows how to take a compliment. Me, my first thought is I’m being punked!
Since Jodi left, I don’t have any Doper crushes. I could give you a long list of Dopers I’d Like To Crush, though. Perhaps I need to start trying to notice screen names that DON’T raise my blood pressure.

As for myself, there’s a couple of folks who will almost always draw me into a thread if I see their names as last poster—Mangetout, and also Frylock come to mind. Also, I don’t think there’s been a post by Indistinguishable I haven’t enjoyed, and most often, learned something from.
