Time for breakfast in the MMP

We had a yummy supper as usual at Kevin’s. Even Kevin knows when we’re there, it’s for fried chicken night! And we beat the weather home. Now we’re in comfies, chilling the night away.

I need to do my PT - I skipped a couple of days due to pain, and I just plain forgot yesterday. Can’t brain too well these days.

Conga rats nettie!

{{{sunny and son}}}

Some of the nasty thunder and winds are hitting us now. And tomorrow is one of those days when the temps fall from midnight on and end in snow. Should be interesting.

Dinner was home-made burgers and some chips. Dull but filling.

Howdy Y’all! Home from soup 'n sammich over to the church house. Tonight’s menu was two kinds of chikin noodle soup, a barley beef soup, a veggie soup, and a ham 'n N.O.T. soup with ham 'n cheese, pastrami and Swiss, tuna sallit, and pimento cheese sammiches. YUM! I sampled the beef 'n barley soup, then I mixed one of the chikin noodle soups (a thick one almost a stew or stoup) and the ham 'n N.O.T. soup together in a bowl as well. I tasted that and it was ERMERGERD CHERKIN, NERDLE, HERM, PERDERDER SOUP! It was soooooo good. My friend Fran made the ham 'n N.O.T. soup and my friend Aida made the chikin noodle stoup. I told them we should combine the two and market it cause we’d make bazillions. So we came up with a name and a slogan… Fran-Aida Ham, Tater, Chikin Noodle Soup… It’s worth bazillions!

Plus also, I got to bring home some beef-barley soup and OYKW got to bring home some ham 'n N.O.T. soup. There were two half tuna sallit sammiches, and two half pastrami and Swiss sammiches left as well. So we have our soups and a half each tuna sallit, and pastrami and Swiss sammich for our N.O.L. tomorrow. Win-Win.

It looks like we shall have around forty people for fish 'n chips on Firday. This is pretty good for a Firday night in Lent thing. Good thing I decided to over estimate the amount of catfish filets.

And on that note, time to check out a couple other things on teh intartoobz and then it’s nite nite time. OYKW is already abed.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Just about bedtime for me. Our neighborhood has been tornado-free! YAY!

*** MWAH!!***

It rained during truck unloading, then stopped when we were done.:smack: Then there was thunderstorms and a Tornado Warning. Looks like the apartment lost power, but it came back before the beer got warm.

Congrats on the new job Nettie.

Butters, 16 hours a day? Are you getting a Masters in Astrophysics?

Welcome SUZ MAC, that sounds tasty. And we should nickname yuo Apple.

Metal Mouse, sounds like a cool trip. And remember, the urge to sing “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” is only a whim away, a whim away, a whim away…

swampy, if you were Catholic, you could have two Franciscans do the fish n’ chips. A fish friar, and a chip monk.

Nope. They’re so rare around here, & even when one does happen they’re usually only an F1.
Wicked line of thunderboomers is still passing thru. Not even directly overhead & still the cracks were enough to physically be felt.

With “humor” like that , I must ask if you can help me in a talent show; can you balance things on your head?

stupid bladder. stupid cat. stupid awake too frackin’ early.
BLURF!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeinated, and purtified so no YAWN ‘Tis 44 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 60 and sunny for the day. We’re goin’ for a McBrekkie before irk. Speakin’ of irk, there may or may not be power when I get there. There is a major intersection about a half block from the orifice and sump’n or other happened there causin’ a power outage in the area. Not sure if the buildin’ where my orifice is located is involved or not. A bit of excitatement to start my day!

Also, today is my Firday as I am takin’ tomorrow off. YAY!

I hear rumblin’s from the bedroom so I guess OYKW is about ready to head out.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

All the nasty weather passed south of FairyChatEstates, closer to **BBBobbio **than to me. But last I saw on FB, he was still alive, so there’s that.

Like swampy, today is my Firday - huzzah!! I’s tahred - I don’t think I slept 2 consecutive hours last night and among the bizarre dream bits I has was one where I was helping my dad buy a new tuxedo shirt… except my dad died 13 years ago. However, today would have been his 86th birthday - guess he was on my mind. There was also a dream where a bunch of baby chicks about the size of ping pong balls were running around in a field - no clue where that came from.

Happy Thursday! Send chocolate!!!

Happy Thorsday!

It’s chilly and wet outside.

otherwise ssdd

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Working closing shift tonight.

I asked William if he could help, but he would not Tell.

A thoroughly fab night was had yesterday watching a band called Inglorious. I had to drive to the venue even though it wasn’t far away, it was just far enough that getting food and getting to the venue would have been difficult as 'im indoors gets back from work at least an hour after me. It was a late night too, so I is a tired fae today.

Tonight I can console myself with grocery shopping and then it will be my turn to lay on the sofa while someone else makes dinner for me. I am informed that tonight’s meal will be Chinese chicken curry with egg-fried rice. I shall ask 'im indoors to cook me an extra serving of rice to combine with some chicken in black bean sauce that I will have for lunch on Friday.

My mum bought 12 weeks of meals from a new supplier and they have substituted one of her choices with a couple of Chinese-style meals. Never having tasted Chinese food in her life, she quite confidently told me she would hate it and I would have to deal with it instead. Thus I am being the dutiful daughter and have that meal along with a serving of sweet and sour chicken as well. Sweet and sour isn’t my top choice but I’ll give it a go.

Behind my schedule for today. I had a big flurry of e-mails for the June history event to wade through today. Time to change modes and go forage in the kitchen.

Lunch has been ingested. The morning has been busy, which is good. Three anna half hours to weekend!

BLURF I am jelly of all you with Firday off.

At irk of course, where else would I be. I have been very busy so far today but have stopped for a little lunch break. I made some chicken salad with my leftover chic bird and it is very good.

We had a line of showers pass through last night, I guess it was a cold front but if it is cooler I can’t tell. It is very windy today which is causing cancellations of some of the activities we sold tickets for so bring on the refunds.

I was going to have to irk a half day on Sat. but my wonderful clerk stepped up and volunteered to irk Sat and try to get a whole day off next week. She said there was no need of me having to drive two hours for a four hour day which I agree with. Thank you Ms. Judy.

I have so much training to do. I have about 20 different online yearly requirements due by Sept and I signed up for 4 other webinars that will count toward my IDP requirements and go toward our accreditation renewal. I also have two whole days of in person Labor Relations training in March. March will be a very busy month. I will get all learnt up.

Turning out to be another screwy day, just plans being changed around on me.

I need to get some lunch and then take the son for his algebra test. Next week he has two tests, his algebra final (7.5 week class) and his history midterm. Then a week off for him. Well, a week off school, I have things I want him to do around here.
We’ll head down to the armpit one of those days.

I really need a nap but that’s not going to happen.

I have a ton of laundry to do, well, okay, only a half ton. That will be my upcoming weekend.

It’s an Eeyore kind of day here so far. It’s supposed to get warmer for the weekend, but I haven’t seen it yet. Working my toucus off for month end. I’m almost caught up. :stuck_out_tongue:

BLURF I need a nap.

We ended up having a no-injury EF1 twister 40-50 miles away. Closer to home, some localized flooding & some trees down, at least one onto a house, & about 15,000 w/o power from almost 2" of rain. That’s considered bad - very bad for this area.

Of course the difference between a recession & a depression is you’re unemployed in a recession while I’m unemployed in a depression. I stayed home last night, warm & dry.

Lunch was “exploding steak”!

Recipe: Put leftover steak in work nuker & turn it on. Wait about 35 seconds for loud “POP” Open door, remove steak. Get paper towel to wipe down the walls. :smack:
