Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 90 for the day and rain/tstorms/apocalypse accordin’ to the weather PTB. We shall see. Today I shall be in the east forty for most of the day. That would be enough to encourage rain usually. However, I put my big umbrella in twuck last night which usually discourages rain.
OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.
No, he moved the plot forward by telling Marcus Lycus there was no plague in Crete. It was a nepotism role anyway–his brother co-wrote the screenplay.
The first time I saw RHPS was at Irish Storyteller’s house with him, Complicated Friend, and a couple of Irish Storyteller’s Hispanic co-workers. It was a bilingual production, which is why to this day I sing “There’s a Light” as “Hay una luz.”
During grad school RHPS was Halloween tradition at the free campus theater. They only let us have toilet paper once and no water guns ever.
If you ever get the chance, hit one. Or at least rent the DVD with the participation included.
When I go these days I’m more likely to hit one of those “once a year” ones than the weekly. I agree that the weekly audiences today use way too many shout-outs. That and the quality of Columbia’s has really fallen off during the years.
Doing some laundry before irk. Not nearly as sore as I expected from my first day back. I have a feeling that could change before the week is done.
BLURF Irking for a little while today. I have to leave around 2 pm for a 3:30 dr. appt. I have to take Lucky Louie home first. I have been out of my old age medicine for about a month. That is blood pressure and cholesterol pills. Ain’t nobody got time for a doctor appointment.
Afternoon, mumpers! I spent the morning at the eye horsepickle having my retinal birthmark investigated. Nothing fun there, apart from the eye drops that dilate everything and make the world look very strange indeed.
I haven’t really been able to focus on much until now, the drops must be wearing off again. I have to go back in six months for a follow-up, and the doc has sent in a request for an ultrasound. Maybe my eye is pregnant, and that’s why it’s suddenly got a nevus it never had before.
My sweetie just came home and crawled into bed. Poor thing isn’t feeling well. I closed up the house and turned on the air since it was getting humid in here, and drew the drapes in our room so he could have a dark-ish place to sleep.
I need to think about something for lunch - eating breakfast at 5:30 has me starving long before 11…
I got a new boss today. We’ve worked together for ten years and I think we’ll get along.
I went to the fair last night with a couple of friends. We had corndogs and roasted sweet corn, as well as sampled some deep fried food on a stick. The cutest minature burro was in the equine barn. He would come up to you for a skritch just like a dog. Too bad my apartment won’t allow pets.
I miss the County Fairs we used to have in Ohio and Indiana (and the Indiana State Fair). I guess Alabama has them too, but it just doesn’t seem to be the same.
Howdy from da cave! Irk has been survived. YAY! OYKW is swipin’ the General’s dindin. 'Tis cloudy out and looks like it could storm anytime. I’m in da cave, so let it rain!
