Time Warp MMP

I LOVE Porkchop-on-a-stick! It’s one of my favorite parts of the Phoenix Phall Phunfest at Knoebels!

And a first to celebrate my surviving another day of my return to work.

Paging Spiderman, Flytrap has hacked your SD account!

Well, so it was chez moi, for that matter. Somehow, what with the autistic fuss-ball we’ve gotten out of the habit. No more, says me! He can help with meal prep, and if he doesn’t like the available offering, he can make something he does like for himself.

I am T.I.R.E.D. of dinner drama. And anybody else who has an issue can just have cereal.

I’ll tell you why families end up eating dinner while they watch tv, 'cause they’re sick of the arguing and fussing over what we’re going to eat and whose turn it is to set the table.

They did NOT include any of this in the baby books. :stuck_out_tongue:

My mom had a rule that if you complained that you didn’t like something, you got a double helping. Oddly enough, that didn’t work with dessert… Damned double standard! :stuck_out_tongue:

**FCD **has gone to work even tho he sounds like crap. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he came home early. I just finished a breakfast PB&J (peach - yum!) and caffeination continues. I was going to mow the ditch this morning, but it’s hot and humid already - ugh! Firday morning is supposed to be cooler - I may wait till then. We shall see.

Today, the local kids start school. I need to remember to time errands around the school bus schedule. No clue as to what I’ll do today, but I’m sure I’ll figure something out. Chances are, it’ll be an indoor chore. I could… <pause for dramatic effect> … dust!

Or not. Time will tell.

Happy Wednesday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 77 Amurrkin out and hyooooooomid, with a predicted high of 91 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse predicted for this afternoon. We shall see. I get to drive to what I call the near south forty today. That’s two counties immediately south of the orifice. The goal is to monitor all the places in both counties which is a big ol’ four places. I’ll be so glad when this monitorin’ bidness is over.

OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. I want to get outta here around seven this mornin’. Rah.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Off to irk. :frowning:

I’m tired of all the fruit flies in my house. This is why I never buy fresh fruit. Stupid peaches.

Happy Hump Day!

Looks like the temps are coming back down and the nights are going to go back into the 60s. Supposed to rain today.

Nothing special to do today. Irk of course. Always irk.
There’s always something around the house that needs doing. So vacuum, dust and unload the dishwasher.

I have to rsvp for the shower, and get a gift. Another friend who lives near where the shower is being held wants me to come by her house and stay overnight. Get some shrimp, drink some wine, and talk all night. That sounds like fun.

Happy camel day, mumpers! I am at irk, it is irksome as usual. We have resit exams so there’s the usual drama associated with that, a bunch of essays that should have been handed in haven’t been, a bunch of people who should be marking stuff are absent and haven’t used out-of-office messages, and all the usual things that makes me love this job.

On the plus side, it is pub night tonight which is a good thing, and I am finishing on Friday afternoon for my holiday which is an even better thing!

Final day in my current department. There are some I’ll kind of miss working with, but others I’ll be thrilled to move on from. I have the next two days off, then new department Saturday (reminds me, must politely bug new supervisor for at least enough schedule info that I know what time she wants me there Saturday).

Slightly cooler today (projected high 94). I will not miss the warehouse bit, and look forward to working in air conditioning.

Up and caffeinated. Working tonight. Today is my Firday.

doggio, reminds me when I was working in the United Arab Emirates, Friday is the Muslim ‘day off for church’, like our Sunday, so my workweek was Saturday-Wednesday. After if left (in 2003), they switched the weekend dates (you can do that relatively easily in a non-democratic country) so that the work week is now Sunday-Thursday.

amyable, never made it to Elkhart; when I was in Indiana I lived just outside Indianapolis and didn’t travel all that much. My memories are mostly of the Summit or Wayne or Cuyahoga County fairs up in Northern Ohio.

Did you ever hear this song? Sort of sums up my feelings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeK45FAAOac

Otherwise, we’re awaiting Noah’s re-appearance as we have had 4 straight days with rain and an 80% chance of dunder-boomers later today.

I’m awake. Sort of. I think. Geee - I had forgotten what Wednesdays were like.

My kid starts college today.

What college? What major? Commuting or living on campus?

Yes, as a matter of fact, I am nosy!

No, that wasn’t a disturbance in The Force.

It was me.

Dusting.

With Endust.

Carry on.

Good luck to the kiddo, A!

'Tis a slow day here at irk. 3.75 more hours to be bored.

Bored here as well. We have finally slowed down for the first time this year. I guess I should get busy on my employee evaluations. Always fun --Not.

I want to go home and take a nap.

He’s starting out at the local community college, to knock out his gen req’s. After that, he’s still undecided; at the moment, he’s leaning towards Hampton, which I can sort of afford, or Drexel, which… not so much. He wants to major in music, and get a job as a professional musician (no particular delusions of being a star, just wants to get paid to play music), game music designer and/or DJ, with music teacher as his backup plan.
