It has been raining cats and dogs, a veritable frog strangler if I may mix my metaphors. I hope the interesting plants that have died back, such as dracunculus vulgaris and amorphophallus konjac will come back next year.
I am irking from home today. The cat thinks she should sit in my lap. Where my computer is. Silly cat. I have explained to her several times that she can sit next to me, or behind the computer, but she can’t sit ON the computer.
Lunch is PB&B, toasted. MMMMMMMM.
Howdy from da cave. Three down, two to go! Ima stick the meatloaf and the mac ‘n cheese in the oven in a bit. The only other thing is to warm up the green beans. The beastloaf and mac ‘n cheese are also really just gettin’ warmed up but take longer. I was goin’ to make cornbread but I ain’t up to that today. My sinuses are all stuffded up and I feel ick. Meanwhile its all cloudy out so maybe rain is on the way.
I wonder when I’ll stop needing naps. I’m wasting a lot of time on them.
Mostly all I’ve done is clean out my paper pile.
I had a broccoli and cheese steamer bag for lunch. I’ll have the leftovers for dinner with maybe a piece of steak. I have a few filet mignon in the freezer so maybe I’ll make one of those.
A nap a day I always say!
One of my sisters has finally been diagnosed with Narcolepsy (sp) and must take pills plus extra pills she calls “stay awakes”. If she get still she will fall asleep anywhere, anytime. I have seen her sleep while driving. That is why I don’t ride with her anymore.
Personally, I think that’s a genius move! Generally smaller classes, definitely cheaper, and a good way to start out with a higher GPA, according to some friends who went that route. It wasn’t an option for me back when I went to college (I was in the Navy and the program required one of several 4-year schools) but I think it’s really the best way to go.
Still no rain, dammit! We were promised some yesterday - nothing. Then we were supposed to get some today - nothing. I just looked at the weather radar - it all seems to fizzle out before getting to our county. Dammit. Maybe tomorrow??
Dunno what we’ll do for supper. **FCD **is home and snoozing. He said he’s feeling better at times, and awful at other times. I think sleep is his best medicine. We shall see. Anyway, supper will probably be grab whatever.
Dindin has been ingested. Well, OYKW chowed down anyways. I had a bowl of mac 'n cheese cause that’s all I wanted. Stoopid sinuses. ‘Tis rainin’ right now. I hope it keeps up all night. I believe I shall shortly go to bed with Ben. OYKW is a little snillfy as well, so we may end up with a three way.

Humid, hot and I’m tired. May just lurk a bit and do some extra time sleeping.
My sinuses are going berserk today, too. I blame wildfires in the area.
My schedule for the next two weeks tends toward the charmingly random, which DH is already grouchy about, since he favors more consistency of routine. He can just deal, or better yet find a job that will pay our bills while I’m finishing up with school and finding a job with more of a routine.
Not sure what we’re going to scrounge up for dinner. We have a good supply of food on hand, just need to figure out what either of us has any motivation to deal with. Ordering out is not an option, given the current condition of the checking account. Good thing payday is tomorrow.
Next two days are free, except for various domestic activities and figuring out where the classroom is I’ll need to be in on Tuesday (in the next city over from my usual campus, but still part of my same school). Going to bed with some Nyquil does have its appeal.
I have been known to do that, except when driving.
When I was in college I fell asleep everyday in my Business Class. The girl behind me said it was so funny, I’d be sitting there taking notes and my pen would move slower and slower. I’d be sitting there, straight up in my seat, pen in hand, sound asleep.
Kind of embarrassing too.
I was the only person in the class whose name the teacher knew.
One day I started to fall over and even he laughed.
I’ve fallen asleep in meetings and training classes too.
Instead of having a steak I made an omelet with the leftover broccoli and cheese.
I’m surrounded by all this paperirk, I got to find a place to put it
A couple of former coworkers came over so **FCD **could fix something that goes on their boat. Once again, chatting with people from my last place of employment makes me glad I retired. That place ain’t what it used to be.
Time to crash. MWAH!
I haven taken Thursday and Friday off to have a molar cut out.

I still need to clean up my mess, I have piles of paper everywhere.

They keep promising rain, but still it doesn’t happen. I could probably guarantee it by running my sprinkler this morning.
Only plan today is to finish the afghan, then run a load with all the knitted/crocheted items so I can take them to Mom’s on Saturday. I’m about halfway thru the second round of the border, with one more to go. I know there’s at least 1 afghan and 2 shawls in the other room - that’ll be enough for a load.
I need to inventory my yarn. While I’m at Mom’s, I’m going to sort thru and organize the 8 bags that were donated and bring some of it home for future projects. I have several patterns that are good for using scraps of many colors, so that’s the plan. If by chance I can gather enough together for a non-scrap pattern, that’s good too.
Here’s hoping the sky opens soon - we could use some precip.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 91 for the day and maybe rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon/evenin’. We shall see. We had a big tboomer last night.
On the sinus front, I still fill ick, but will tough out the day bein’ as I am takin’ tomorrow off as is OYKW. Other than mowage, we have no plans for the day. Mowage must occur at both places however. A dust mask shall be worn.
flytrap I know you’ve been to the dentist before, so you know the drill. May good pain meds come your way.
OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. I shall be in the orifice today to catch up on paperirk stuff. ICK!

It’s cooling off a bit but the humidity is high.
It’s supposed to get back down into the 60s overnight again.
Good sleeping weather.
I woke up with a sore throat this morning, probably a combination of open window and playing with paper yesterday.
I wanted some cup o’noodles for breakfast, good on my throat, but Sah-son has the sink tied up washing clothes. When he gets done I need to do some washing.
So I guess today is laundry day.
